Back in kuching! haha. Am feeling very lazy at home. haha. All the "i-want-to-do-when-im-home things" are still undone. Been going out a lot. Spending quality time wif frens and family. Wasted time watching movies. (AB's going to mickey mouse land soon! enjoy!)
Well, i'm jus so sorry i din bother to update. No mood, no inspiration. The only reason why I'm writing now is becos im having insomnia. Haha.
Let's talk about... Coldplay and Joe Satriani. Did Coldplay really plagiarised Joe Satriani's work (If I Could Fly) with their chart-topping single, Viva la Vida? Either the answer's yes or no, it doesn't matter. To me, at least. I choose Coldplay's version over Joe's. Not too belittle Joe's (wah, like i noe him like tat) workmanship, but i think coldplay's presented more variety and has a more catcy rhythm(especially the bass drum beats).
Haiya, got lots to say one ler. Once i type the blog, all blank. Till next time.

Brands

Recognise these brands? I'm sorry, but I don't recognise all of them myself. These are just some brands that I may know and I'm very sure there are tonnes out there which a single polo tee of its brand costs a fortune.
So what prompted me to write this? Had a dinner with senior and a friend just a while ago. And suddenly they were talking about brands. Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, D & G, Prada, etc... So I sat there, not engaging into the conversation, cos I've got nothing to talk about. 1. I don't know what's the design/how much they cost/ where to get them (except Pavillion I assume)/what they are(lol) 2. I'm not interested in buying a half k shirt.
So, he was talking about a Polo Shirt costing up to 400 bucks, some even 600plus. A pair of Lacoste specs can cost 1k . Girls starving their stomachs to buy an LV bag. *He looked at me, asked:"You into brands?" I shrugged.
Ok, first of all, I'm not against branded goods. I like branded stuffs especially when its quality is superior, or it is different, or it provides a certain convenience. I like branded shirts because it lasts. :D I like Board shorts because it's different, well, was different. Now Surfpants are everywhere. However, a blardy polo tee that costs half a k? Forget it.
If you're from a wealthy family, with your money overflowing and you couldn't figure out where to spend them, I don't mind. But to the point of starving yourself to get a BAG? To defy all needs just to buy a pair of Lacoste spectacles? Please, know your own capabilities.
He said, "It's to reward yourself." I agree. I would lavish on a pair of surfpants, or iPod to reward myself. At certain times. NOT all the time. That's why it's called reward, no? and rewards always come after you've achieved something. And achieving something doesn't mean starving through your lunches and dinners. Nor does it mean spending your parents' money extensively.
If you're constantly spending on these, I suggest you look around. Who are in need? If you're blessed with plentiful money, why not share it? What about those who struggle each day to make ends meet? What about those who has no priviledge to study, for financial reasons. A little bit further away, what about those who are starving? RM 10 makes a big difference to their lives.
He said,"Brands make people look at you differently." I agree. But I do hope what they see is the who in the clothes, not the what he's wearing. That's more important isn't it? But I do agree that one needs to know what's what. To update yourself. Enrich your knowledge.
I write this being convicted myself.

Life as a Student
I'm sure that most, if not all, of us grow up constantly listening to this popular saying. "Work hard now, you've got plenty of time to enjoy later!" This especially applies to those taking public exams, or in uni/college. Did i strike a familiar bell? Well, the statement has some truth to it, especially when after public exams, e.g SPM, STPM, you've got plenty of time to rot in your house.
But wait, for those form6-ers, we all got this from teachers, seniors alike, "If you can conquer STPM, there's nothing in this world that you can't conquer!" Erm, sorry to burst your bubbles, but University isn't as easy as thought. Yea, i think definitely university, in a semester, does not cover three chemistry books, two physics books and two math books. But for now, we're covering one materials book, one mechanics book, one math book, one (or many more) geology book, C++ computer programming, and for me, basic japanese all in one semester (4 months the most). Look at the workload man... and this is the first year first sem, supposedly the free-est sem for the whole degree programme. Yippee~~ i am so looking forward to second year!
Moral of the story: 1. There's no such thing as life's gonna get easier. It's just gonna get tougher and tougher. Again, this applies to the general crowd. If you're some genius, then uni can't even make you sweat. And after graduation, you find yourself sitting comfortably in some cia-pa-eng-co-shu-cho company/department, then life's easy.
2. University MAY be the best time of your life. Depends on how you use it.
3. Don't be lazy, thinking there's time...
however, one thing's for sure. Studying sure beats working. Hehe. Those who have worked, you'd understand.

Title-less
OK, this is not a post with anything particular in mind. So i guess i'll just write what comes in mind, so if it's juicy, so be it, if not, sorry to have wasted your time reading it. :p lol. OoooK..
So... Here I am, with two tests waiting for me next week, another two the week after, finals lurking around the corner. Well, one consolation is I've completed c++ project, so that's finally off the chest. So, what am i doing here blogging? Hah... I actually feel rather restless now. Feel like expressing myself, through music, through games, through something interactive, and definitely studying isn't an option for this current state though it's most appropriate, looking at the timeline.-_- Who cares? Live in the moment for now. Now, that's a very dangerous statement isn't it? Drug addicts, why do they hold on to it knowing it brings no good? "Live in the moment" Smokers, why do they smoke knowing they are endangering people around them and also themselves (more for other people cos we all know that second-hand smoke inflicts more damage). It's because they probably "Live in the moment". They maybe thinking, "Just this one. Just one to clear my mind." And that one leads to another, and another. No offense to smokers. :) Why do we procrastinate, or build castle in the air, or... blog (lol) when you have tasks waiting for you to complete, "Live in the moment" perhaps.
So, this statement, if not used properly, can cause more trouble than you'd think for "that moment". However, used at the right time, it proves to bring more joy and lovely memories than you'd have imagine for 'that moment'. It may be a yamcha session you have with your friends, then you realise you are so blessed to have people to spend your time with. It may be a kind word, a helping hand you lend, which is followed by unexpected joy and sense of accomplishment. Live in the moment with your family. Enjoy the quality time.
In a nutshell, this statement can be a double-edged sword. Depending on how you decide to use it. How to use it? Not actually just living for the moment when you're living in that moment. There are consequences to bear. There are reactions to your actions, or no-actions. Talk about paradox? yeah.
That's all for today. Have a great week ahead!
(These are just personal thoughts and views)

Life Is A Rollercoaster
Hi hi..
I wanted to post in multiply last night but it can't go through. Can't post it up now cos it's blocked. So have to wait till midnight. Anyways, i just have the urge to blog. To type something. So here i am, procrastinating away again.
Like what i've mentioned, Life is a Rollercoaster. It goes up down, and circle around. Some may have more ups than down, so may have otherwise. But that's what make life interesting isn't it?

Short talk
It seems that a lot of times I have inspiration to write about something, but it's either I'm too busy(usually the case), or it's that I haven't planned it, so it ends up being another unpublished idea. Well, it has been a while since I've written here. And it's pretty obvious which site would be maintained more frequently now. ... till next time :)
