Our dear friend, Judy Joslin, wanted to celebrate her 70th birthday doing something fun. She picked roller skating. It was a fabulous day with dinner on the riverfront at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then skating at Oaks Park. It was a day to remember.... Lots of laughs, a few falls, no one got hurt and great cake too.

Summer Roses 2010

Our niece, Jennifer, bought a new camera and wanted to take some shots! We went to the Rose place in St Paul. It was a very HOT day, but the boys did OK. I think she did a great job. We were her first client. :) We were all tired of smiling and happy to be in the A/C in the van on the way home. Can you tell Grant and Gary are a little more natural? Ian and Mommy have a hard time not being cheesy.

Grant's Bday Jan 2010

This post is so late, but I wanted to share photos of Grant's tye die T shirt 7th birthday party. It was so much fun. I forgot my camera so had to buy a disposable one and a mom at the party helped me out. The shirts turned out great and they still wear them. So much fun!!!!

Snow Bunny Surprise April 2010

We were headed to Kahneeta for a much needed break this Spring and I pulled over to use the restroom on Mt Hood. I didn't know buy my honey packed boots, gloves, hats and heavy jackets in the back of the van. We were stopping on the hill for some inner tubing. My boys squealed!!! You see I am NOT a snow bunny in any sense of the word. I would never live in a snowy place. It is wet and cold and nasty. We went in and the boys got ski tags for their jackets and tubes. They walked up the mountain....... I took the photos!!!!
You should have heard the squeals of delight! Oh my they actually LOVED it. It was a great first time tubing. I can still hear their giggles. It brought me so much joy in my heart. It actually made the rest of the drive much more pleasant because they were worn out.
Not my thing--- but definitely one of their favorites. I don't know if was the snow or the adrenaline rush of speed!!! BIG Points for the best daddy in the world!

My Honey's birthday

We had a very last minute celebration for my honey's birthday!!! One of his brothers and his sister came by and we had a big Abby's pizza! His very favorite! Let me tell you I am crazy in love with this man. He absolutely rocks my world. Yes, I am a lucky girl!!!!!

Ian turns 6

Jacob, Katie, Grant, Cheyanna, Robert and Ian

Ian was our Christmas present 6 years ago. How we love this kid. He has a super big heart and cares about people so much. He wants to be a fireman this year. Jacob's (his BFF) dad drives the local firetruck. Ian has blessed us in so may ways. He has a tender heart and his feelings get hurt. He also is a bulldozer so stay out of his way! He can break (almost) anything. He loves school and is starting to like girls already like his brother. We are in trouble. HBD my baby!

Christmas programs 2009

Ian's (center) class at the Christmas program.
Grant saying his part in the Christmas program.

Grant's (top left) 1st grade classes.

Mrs Imus (1st grade) and Grant

Grant and the reindeer he made in class!

Grant had a speaking part in the first grade program much to our surprise! He said his lines very clear and loud. It was a cute program, but very crowded. The entire town showed up for this one. It will be a great memory of 1st grade. Grant loves his teacher, Mrs Imus, but she had a baby and is on maternity leave. He misses her very much. Way too many questions about babies for us first grade parents this year!

Christmas Tree Search 2009

Finding the right big Christmas tree is always fun for the Cooper boys. We hunt through the lot looking for the tallest tree. We all feel sorry for the small Charlie Brown trees that would fit great in a bedroom. Then we decide on one, daddy cuts it and we haul it to the truck.
Let the season begin!
