Sadie's Pre-School Program

Yesterday was Sadie's little Christmas program. Okay, so I have to say that I was so annoyed with myself because as I dropped Sadie off, all the little girls were in these floofy Christmas dresses and Sadie was in a blue shirt and khaki corduroys! I don't think it would have bothered me as much if normally I wouldn't be the one having her dressed to the T. I guess since I went to her little Thanksgiving feast, which was not as fancy, I just assumed it would be more of the same. Oh well, I am over it! Anyway, each age group came up at seperate times and sang a couple little Christmas songs. One of Sadie's was Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star. They had little hand motions and everything! It was so cute and Sadie did so good with the singing and the motions. One part made me laugh because they had to raise their hands and she raised her one hand and held her shirt down (so her stomach wouldn't show - which is really important to her right now) with the other! Funny girl! It was so fun to watch! They all did a great job!
Here's Mommy and Lucy and Daddy and Lucy while we were waiting.

Need I say that Sadie is the one in the front with the BLUE shirt!

She also had to wear her "cow boots!"
After the program, they got to leave early so we (Lyndsee and I) took the girls to Chuck E Cheese! We used to always go to Chuck E Cheese on the last day of school when I was growing up! We LOVED it. So this was the last day of school till after Christmas! They had a fun time! Sadie would NOT cooperate for pictures! She would look for 1 second and then turn! So I got a million of the back of her head! Oh, I guess I need to say that yes we are at Chuck E Cheese and not Burger King. We always go to Burger King after Dance on Wednesday and this got left in the car so Sadie had to wear it!
Evka looking through the bubble!
Do you think Lucy LOVES her Big Sister!?! So cute!I think we are ready to go. Lucy started being grouchy and hitting Sadie, and then me so I made her sit on the bench at the table. She was just sitting there like this so I had to take a picture...she looked so cute!

The History of US!

1. Where did you meet your husband?
We met in a Parenting class at Utah State.
2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?
Well, it was on the first day of class we had to get into groups of 3 and me and this other guy were standing there, my back was turned and I hear Chris ask if we needed another person for our group. So I turned around and hear angels sing and honestly, I was dumbfounded! Seriously he was the only guy that EVER made feel tongue tied! So the first thing I said was probably, "Uh, Yeah!"
3. Where was your first date?
Well, he came over to my apartment a little before finals to as he put it, "catch a flick and chill." And then he drove down to Ventura that Summer and we went to Disneyland. But our first OFFICIAL date was to Los Hermanos in downtown Provo and then we went up to his parents house in Draper and had had rented Life is Beautiful which I had been saying I wanted to see! And he got some of my favorite Ice Cream! It was so cute. This was right before Thanksgiving break so I was going to the airport early in the morning. I just stayed at his parents house since it was half way to the airport. I was going to meet my sister at the airport in the morning. Chris set an alarm clock and was going to wake me up but he slept through it so I missed my plane. I was like, "eh, whatever I'll catch another flight." He new then that I was the one!
I knew I would regret not doing my hair before this picture! This was taken when Chris came down to see me and go to Disneyland. It was right before he was leaving to drive back up to UT. Thanks Mom for taking an embarrassing picture!
4. Where was your first kiss?
It was that date night at Chris' parents house in their basement after the movie. We stayed up SO late just talking and getting to know eachother more!
5. Did you have a long or short engagement/courtship?
Well, we have an interesting story. When we met I was absolutely obsessed with him. My roomates and I would drive by his apartment, if he wasn't in class I would leave, EVERYTHING! I basically stalked him! We were both dating people at the time. So we were friends. But we both wanted more but never said anything. I told the guy I was dating at the time that I wanted to date other people but he wouldn't have it but whatever! That's when Chris came over to watch a movie. Then after our finals, Oh we always walked home together! Cute! Anyway, after our finals we walked home and said goodbye and I seriously almost started crying! It was crazy the way I felt! I was just so depressed that I would never see him again. I came into my apartment, laid on my bed and then the phone rang. It was Chris! He asked for my email so we could keep in touch. (Example of me being tongue tied and stupid - I was giving him my Dad's email because I was thinking since I was moving back home it would change! I had a hotmail account!) Anyway, then we kept in touch over the summer. I had broken it off with that guy and Chris wasn't dating who he was dating. That's when he came for disneyland. Then my psycho ex broke into Chris' email and sent me an email saying that he (Chris) was going to go bar hopping! So obvious turn off and shocker for me, him being a return missionary and everything. I replied back to the email but my ex deleted it before Chris saw it. Then he sent Chris an email from me saying that I had a boyfriend and blah blah blah. Chris said it was just real cold. Anyway, so we started to loose touch. Then we saw eachother again up at school and I kept calling him. He didn't return my calls but I kept calling...I knew what I wanted! Anyway, we finally talked. I asked him about that email, he had no idea what I was talking about. We figured it out and it was like a high! We stayed up almost the whole night talking! It was like we both new what we wanted but their was the false side that was holding us back! So then that weekend was the weekend we went to dinner and to his parents house! EXCITING! Then we were engaged on January 19th and then married in May19th!
6. Where did you get engaged?

This was taken by us right after Chris proposed!
Chris took me back up to Logan (where we met - we had both transferred to different schools) so I could "meet his sister" and he proposed to me on the "A" (for Aggies) platform just outside where we had our parenting class. Then we took our walk home! Then we went to Fred Meyer to get some cash and this psycho girl that was his neighbor and who was obsessed with Chris was working there and Chris was all excited and introduced me and said we just got engaged and her face was hilarious! She was so disgusted! Ha Ha! Ho!
Our Engagement Photo
7. Where did you get married?

We got married in the L.A. Temple and it just so happened we were sealed in the same sealing room as my parents! We were sealed by my Grandpa's twin brother! So neat!

8. How did your reception go?
It was fun. We had it at the college gardens. They were so perfect! It was where the agricultural dept does their stuff so they were SO pretty! So we had our line in through the gazebo and then tables and chairs all around with lights and tulle! It was fun. We had the BEST fruit ever! It was during strawberry season and Ventura has the best strawberries! Chris' Dad still talks about them! We left a little early from our reception and my Mom was mortified! We were like, whatever...no one else is coming, we've talked to everyone...let's go! We did have the reception the day after our wedding so it wasn't completely about that, we had a long drive ahead of us too!
9. The Honeymoon!

We went up to this little beach town called Avilla Beach. It is this little cove just below San Luis Obispo. It was so cool. They had these natural hot springs that were spaced all around the mountain side and each hot spring was private and secluded! So you just rent on for like an hour or so. It was SO much fun. We stayed a week there and then we went up to Chris' family cabins up by Jackson Hole WY. So we hiked and went shooting and did some dinner and shopping in Jackson. It was so fun! We had NO WHERE to be so it was great! We just got to enjoy eachother!

Thanks Heather, Lyndsee, and Colleen I guess it started with Heather! That was too fun and now I am staying up way later than I planned but I had to find pictures! It was so fun to go down memory lane! Boy am I a lucky girl to have gotten such a catch! I love you more than anything Chris! You are and will always be my best friend!
Who's turn is it next? YOURS!! I would like to know how all my friends met the love of their life

Family Picture

This was taken at our ward Christmas Party. I brought my background and risers and they had the tree there and then they took a family picture. You hardly ever get a photo of everyone so it was nice. So I touched it up a tad and I thought I would share. PS - I just finished my Christmas Cards...so everyone check their mail for it! I will be mailing them tomorrow! I am SO glad to be done with them! Now I can clean my house. If I am working on a project like this over the weekend, our house gets thrashed by the end of the weekend! UGH!

Main Street Bethlehem

We went to the coolest place last weekend! In the town Burnet TX (about an hour away from us) they have this little town of Bethlehem built that is there year round since they are real structures. They have people all dressed up and in character walking around the city. You get to just walk around the city and go in the different shops and experience the way life was when Jesus was born. SO COOL! The girls LOVED it and did NOT want to leave! Even at 9:00pm at night!
So first of all...we waited in line to just get IN for 1 hour and 45 minutes! So I figured I would start the taking of the pictures! Since we spent half our time in line! We were all ready to walk around and have fun!

This was right when you walk in to one side. I thought these shepards were so cute!

This goat was tied to the wall all by itself with his head leaning toward the wall. Even with all the kids harassing it, it did not budge! But then Sadie would not leave it along and this lady noticed and came over so Sadie could feed it! Too cute!

Here is Sadie with the candle lady. Each person we talked to has their own story. They have really done their research with knowing facts and using words that go with the time. It was so cool. So they were dipping the candles out of animal lard! Crazy!

The girls, especially Sadie, were NOT a fan of these Roman soldiers. They roamed the streets keeping guard as well as making sure everyone has paid their taxes and if not, they took them to jail!

Lucy, Lanae and Sadie looking at the camels. Of course Lucy would not avert her attention!

The camel!

The Monson family in the chariot!

Our friends, The Mott Family in the Chariot.

Eric asked this guard if he would ask their oldest son if he had paid his taxes. Caleb was a little nervous. The guard did NOT break character at ALL. Sadie started crying and insisted that Chris held her.

Obviously, he did NOT want to go. So the guard asked Eric if vouch for him...and he was off the hook. Then when he found out that it wasn't for real he wanted to be taken to jail. Funny!

Our friends the Leavitts, walking around city. We were up in the Inn talking to some people who were staying at the Inn, waiting for the rest of the 10 people that were going to stay in their tiny room.

The girls looking at the Donkey. Lucy just kept yelling HE HAW! over and over. She was LOVING it!

Sadie grinding some grain. They had a huge rock oven that they cooked the bread in and we got to have a piece of the bread. So fun and SO yummy!

(The boy in the green shirt - Colton, is Sadie's little boyfriend. It is so funny to see them interact. They both love to be together but hardly interact because they get so shy! So cute!)

What!?! How could such cute little girls belong in shackles!?! At one point there was a lady locked in these and she was crying, Help me, I need money, Please! blah blah blah. Sadie was FASCINATED! She stood in front of her...frozen! She did not want to leave her. At one point I even heard you say to the lady, "It's okay" So cute! She was so concerned! Even the next day at breakfast she asked where the lady was. so funny!

Then at the end of the town was the new star hanging in the sky and underneath was this huge cool stable and of course, baby Jesus. It was so cool! It was really neat because inside the city it was kind of crazy and loud, but then you could feel the reverence as everyone looked on towards the stable!

They hand out cookies and hot cocoa at the end! We had SUCH a GREAT time! We plan on going back often! It was such a great experience and the girls really learned a lot! We were all sad to leave but it was so late! We didn't get home until 10:30 pm!

Comfort

Sadie has been LOVING to hold Daddy's hand when she cuddles down for bed. Even if I am right there, she will tell me to move down by her feet and have Daddy lay down on the floor and hold her hand! SO CUTE! She was so tired and fell asleep so quickly I had to run and get my camera and snap a few pictures! She LOVES her Daddy!

Christmas Partay!

First of all, I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted and I am sorry. Sadie and Lucy were playing on my computer and totally messed it up! So it is just so frustrating to try to get anything done on it! I am being patient tonight though!

We had our ward Christmas party on Saturday! We had a nice dinner and listened to some stories/fun facts. Then watched the primary kids sing and act out the nativity. It was cute. There was quite a bit of sitting for this age of kids so our girls were getting a little stir crazy. They were playing under the table for a while but that got old. We were sitting right in front by the risers for the nativity so Sadie and Lucy as well as Evka and Averee started a fun trend of running around and jumping up and down on the risers! Lucy did manage to knock over the "stable" in the process! All in the name of fun I guess! By the end of the night I would say a good majority of the nursery and Jr Primary were running around on the risers as well! Oops!
Lucy and Averee - they both kept lifting up their shirts and dancing! At church!?!
A "Texas" Santa!
Lucy in the "manger" and Averee climbing in with baby Jesus.
If our kids weren't crazy enough, as we were cleaning things up they were jumping off the table!
Lucy had to join in! Thanks Lyndsee!

It was a fun night!
