100th Post!!

I have been trying to decide what to do for my hundredth post...should I post something profound and life changing or something light and funny. Well friends, I took the path most traveled...
My kids (okay, and my and Jason's) favorite show is "Wipeout". It leaves us all with aching stomachs from laughing our guts out and there has been an instance or two in which a beverage has found its way out of a nostril. It is unanimous in our family that the "Big Balls" are by far the funniest part of the entire show. As we were leaving Legoland each of my children shrieked in delight at the "Big Balls" just outside the front gates. So tonight, on behalf of John Henson and the big ball fans everywhere..."Goodnight, and big balls"

ball noun, 1) a round object used in games or as a toy 2) a large party for dancing

LEGOLAND!!

Day 4...we headed off to Legoland . It was the anniversary of Sept. 11th and we started the morning off watching the news and remembering. I added to the somber mood with a rip roaring headache. The kids were so excited to go to Legoland and I was in a grumpy mood that was intensified at the thought of the hour and fifteen minute ride to get there. I guess I should have looked on the bright side...Shamu would have been a lot more echo-y. I was constantly saying "shhhh" on the way down and finally after a bottle of ibuprofen and 32 ounces of Pepsi, I started to feel better.
We had such an awesome day. We went to the Lego factory and watched how Legos were made and then let the kids make their own lego guys. The lady who managed the shop, noticed Jason's FDNY t-shirt and asked what fire dept. he worked for. Her son is a police officer for the city of Carlsbad and she was so excited to talk to Jason. Come to find out her best friend is from Orem and she was recently here for her friend's daughter's wedding. She had another lady watch the store and took us on a behind the scenes tour of the factory. She let the kids pick a lego right off of the production line...the plastic was still warm . Then she doled out the prizes. She gave us a bunch of collector series legos...most that aren't in production anymore, one of which was a firefighter lego. We traded contact info and hopefully the next time she is here or we are there, we will get to see each other again. The rest of the day was just as fun. The kids had a blast driving the lego cars and getting their Legoland driver's licenses. The Legoland fire dept. put on a funny show..."you put the wet stuff on the red stuff"...I couldn't get that saying out of my head for days, I drove Jason crazy. Josh loved, loved, loved, the horse ride. He went on it over and over and over and over. I have pictures to prove it!! I was really amazed at all of the things they had built totally out of legos. It really was amazing.

Breakfast with Minnie and Friends...

The Mickey Mouse shaped waffles were super tasty...I still can't decide if they tasted extra good because 1) the recipie is awesome and super secret 2) they were shaped like Mickey Mouse or 3) we paid 25.oo per person and at that price you can't afford to not like them.

waffle noun, 1) a cake baked in an iron skillet, verb 2) to change one's mind often
