All About the Belly

Well, here we are.  More than halfway through this bad boy and I seriously feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER!!  People are always complaining about how fast time has been going lately and I've come up with a way to combat said problem.
 Get pregnant.

Anyway, I have not been so diligent with the taking of the pictures.
With the boys, I took a picture every month, on the dot.
Not so much with this one.
Sorry Belly.
In all fairness, though, there really hasn't been much difference.
Here I am at oh 9 weeks.

Please oh please ignore the knock knees and oh so sexy hair...

AND here I am at 22 weeks...
I know, right?!  Where's the baby!?!?
It's kinda funny, I've basically got nothing here.
Let's compare, shall we?

Here I am at 22 weeks with Izacc and with Ian.

Boy oh boy was I large and in charge!  Sheesh!

So for all of you who have been asking where the belly pictures are, well, here ya are.
Not much to see here, people.
I'll for sure post when things get real here though, which I have a feeling could be any day...
Yikes.  I'm like a ticking time bomb!

Belly Quilt

Um hi.
There is nothing about this little quilt that I don't love.
Every time I see the colors it makes me happy.
So unbelievably happy.
I joked with my friend Steph that I would make her a human sized one.
I'm thinking it's not such a bad idea!
I could snuggle up really nice with one of these.
And also, the list would have to be a lot longer.
You know, things like laundry, dishes, vacuuming,
Well, you get the point.
Nonetheless I adore this.
I got the idea from Vanessa  V and Co.
More details on how I got this done over here.
But seriously, how much is Belly going to LOVE getting this thing messy, am I right?!
Um yeah. Can't wait.

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Hello again, pals!  Come here often?
Yeah, me either.
But its Friday again,
and that means it's time for me to dump my baggage on you.
Sorry about that.
You may leave now if you feel so inclined.
But here we go.

I confess...
  • I'm de-stressing.
  • I'm de-stressing my life.
  • I mean, I know thats a good thing to do in general.
  • But my weekly baby growing email told me this week,
  • And I quote,
  • "Stress during pregnancy is quite literally BAD for your baby's developing brain. It's time to clean out the toxic relationships and situations in your life for your sake and your child's sake."
  • So bye bye drama!
  • I'm peacing out!
  • At least for the next few months anyway.
  • If you're gonna start something with me
  • I'll be the one walking the other way.
  • If I have any toxic relationships
  • Consider them dissolved.
  • Here's to a more peaceful life.
  • Can't wait.
  • My phone sucks.
  • Apparently my brothers have been trying to call me
  • And it doesn't even ring.
  • Or it doesn't show up as a missed call unless they leave me a voice mail.
  • Lame.
  • I swear I'm not screening ALL my calls!
  • :)
  • Can't wait to get new phones,
  • Which is supposedly going to be any day.
  • Just waiting on them to get here...
  • But the moral of the story is if you call and I don't answer
  • LEAVE A MESSAGE.
  • At least I'll know you called!
  • Stinking phone.
  • I've got a bad problem.
  • It's called I want to make everything under the sun for this little bundle in the tummy.
  • I read my favorite crafty blogs and am constantly finding cute things that she NEEDS!!
  • I had to go buy fabric because I couldn't contain myself anymore.
  • I'm currently making one of these
  • I'm almost done.
  • Pictures to come, I promise.
  • I've also become a crazy lady with a list of things that have to be done before June.
  • Like we need to paint the stairway.
  • And build a wall in the family/dining room.
  • And get a bunk bed.
  • And finish my other baby's baby book.
  • Oh man.
  • What was it I was saying about de-stressing?!
  • I can't get my brain to stop moving.
  • Maybe I should make a list and that way it will be out of the old noggin.
  • The hubby will be here on weekends here in a few weeks.
  • Let the renovations commence says I!
  • I make a great foreman.
  • Not by my choice, of course.
  • If it were up to me I'd be out there right now tearing down old paneling and building me a wall as we speak.
  • Oh well.
  • Belly rules the world these days.
  • And I do love it.

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Oh sweet Friday, how I have grown to dislike you.  It's not your fault, Friday, please don't take it personally.  It's just that another Friday means another weekend of absent husband, which means boo.
Don't worry, Friday, I can be a bit fickle.
We'll be best friends again in about 4 weeks.
Until then, here's another sad and lonely confession.

I confess...
  • I am emotionally and physically drained.
  • The last two weeks have been some for the record books.
  • On a happy note, though, no sick kids.
  • So it's not been all bad!
  • But I am ready for a stress and drama free week.
  • Here's hoping.
  •  We hosted a Super Bowl party this year.
  • We had a few friends over
  • It was a total good time.
  • Laid back and fun.
  • And oh the food!
  • I's still carrying around the food baby.
  • On top of the real baby.
  • That's a lot of babies.
  • Seriously though, we had enough food to feed double the people we had.
  • And it was delicious.
  • This weekend marks week 5 of Thor's weekly trips to the capitol city.
  • 3 more to go!
  • And then he's mine again.
  • Well, mine and Wal-mart's.
  • Technicalities.
  • At least he'll be in town.
  • And in my bed at nights.
  • Easy, pervs.  He keeps the place warm.
  • He's like my own personal space heater.
  • Awesome.
  • Would ya like to know what's also awesome?!
  • Um, how about a Three Days Grace concert next month!
  • That's right, y'all.
  • I'll be the pregnant one dancing in the family section.
  • You know, the section that they don't allow smoking and alcohol.
  • Yeah, I know.  I'm totally hip.
  • Come on!  I LOVE them.
  • And they'll be two hours away.
  • And tickets were $27!!
  • $27 people!!
  • Well, plus fees and crap.
  • But still.
  • Whatever, judge me if you will.
  • But I haven't been to a concert since we moved from Utah.
  • And that's coming up on 4 years ago.
  • Blerg.
  • Can't believe it's been that long!
  • Aw I can't wait.
  • PLUS I get to go with my hubby!!
  • And some friends!
  • I know, hard to believe,
  • but I DO in fact have friends.
  • And we do things too!
  • I know, compare your lives to me and be super jealous.
  • Or not.
  • Either way, I'm still excited.
  • And tired.
  • Better start resting up now.
  • That concert could go well after 10 pm.
  • And as we all know, 10 pm is when I turn into a pregnant zombie.
  • Yeah, picture that.
  • Crazy hair, eyes at half mast, staggering around in my sweats.
  • You don't gotta tell me
  • GLAMOROUS
  • So watch out, Casper!
  • You're not gonna know what hit ya when this party animal rolls into town!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Friday Friday Friday!  I swear I'll be back doing more than just Fridays.  I swear.
Let's dive in here.

I confess...

  •  I'm basically ready to have a healthy household.
  • No really.
  • 3 weeks now we've been dealing with illnesses in one form or another.
  • I seem to have caught some kind of hybrid nastiness.
  • Sore throat, cough, runny nose, stinging sinuses, migraine and nausea with fever and chills.
  • Sounds freakin sweet huh?
  • I woke up this morning in a sweaty ball of awesomeness.
  • I'm basically over it, ready to be back to normal.
  • Because with Baby Belly, all I can take is Tylenol and Robitussin,
  • Which isn't doing much, thats for sure.
  • Lame.
  • Speaking of Baby Belly, I received probably the greatest news of my life this week.
  • I want to shout it from the rooftops while doing cartwheels.
  • We got to see Belly.
  • And Belly is FINE!!
  • I was super worried about it.
  • For the simple fact that I had my wisdom teeth out, was put out to do so, was on medication
  • And three days later found out I was preggo.
  • I was worried this babe would have a hand growing out of it's forehead or something.
  • I know, I know, there are women out there who do much worse than a few Lortab
  • but I was still worried.
  • And everything looks good.
  • And normal.
  • Didn't really want us taking a picture, kept it's hiding face.

  • Thats better.  Aw sweet little creepy baby face!!
  • And hey, the best news of all?!

  • That's right, folks.  That right there says "Looks like a GIRL"
  • A GIRL!!!
  • Um, I still feel like I'm dreaming.
  • I am so so happy and excited and gosh dang it!
  • Bows and tutus and nail polish and hair and skirts and cute shoes and makeup.
  • I CANNOT EVEN WAIT.
  • I feel as though I've been pregnant forever.
  • And I'm only halfway.
  • Oh I can't wait.
  • We were all so excited and surprised.
  • All except for Izacc.
  • He knew the whole time.
  • He told me there was a girl in my tummy before I got my wisdom teeth out.
  • Her name was Tinkerbell.
  • Then after while it changed to Isabella.
  • Then he called her Isabelly.
  • Then Bella.
  • Now Belly.
  • Which I thought was appropriate no matter the sex, because after all, it is MY belly.
  • But anytime I told him that we get to go to the Dr to find out what it was, he would look at me with annoyance and say, "Mom, I know it's a girl".
  • And that night, after we found out, I said, "Izacc!  You're going to have a little sister!!"
  • He just gave me a look and said, "Mom, I know."
  • Smart creepy kid.
  • So the moral of the story here is that as soon as I feel better, you can sure bet you butts that there will be a bazillion cute girly crafts coming your way!
  • And also I think maybe I need to listen to Izacc a little closer.
  • Who knows what else that kid knows!!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Here we are again.  Another week down the crapper.  Sorry to sound so, uh, down, but it's been another doosey.  Let's just get right to it.

I confess...

  • I am so SOO ready for spring.
  • Warm, sunshine, a husband that stays in town.
  • Ah yes it will be magical.
  • This single mama business is so not for me.
  • And I mean, I know it could be worse, right?
  • I have friends and family who's husbands are in the military and gone all the time,
  • Not just half the week, every week.
  • I don't mean to complain.
  • I guess it would be another story if the moolah was worth it.
  • But alas, he has to come home and off to his other job he goes.
  • Lame sauce.
  • I wish I could figure out what's making my kids turn into bodily wast factories.
  • Last week it was the little one.
  • This week it's the big one
  • And the little one.
  • I've done approx. 12 loads of laundry in the past week.
  • Whew I need a break.
  • A small mini vacation
  • Accepting any and all donations to the "keep mama sane" foundation
  • Ha ha wouldn't that be nice.
  • Did I tell you my hubby got me a Silhouette for Christmas??!!
  • Yeah he did.
  • He's pure awesomeness.
  • And I can't wait to start making stuff with it!
  • But first I need supplies
  • Vinyl, heat transfer, ect.
  • I'm really excited.
  • We cut out some letters for Izacc to make a sign.
  • It says, "Izacc transforms into Bumble Bee."
  • He's pretty much the coolest there is.
  • When he's not barfing in my hallway, that is.

Friday Confessional

Photobucket
Yes, friends, it's that time again.
I can't think of anything clever or witty to say right now.
Sorry.
Go visit Glamazon and Mamarazzi to join in this craziness.
It's really a lot of fun.

I confess...
  • This week is almost over and I couldn't be happier about it.
  • Thor has been gone since Monday.
  • MONDAY people.
  • He doesn't get back until tomorrow.
  • My life has been a mess since he left.
  • Oh I can hear it now.
  • AWWWW, so sweet.
  • No not like that kind of mushy crap
  • I mean it's been disgusting around here.
  • The baby spontaneously became a gross bodily fluids making machine.
  • It's not been very consistent.
  • He'll wake up in a mess.
  • Or barf on the kitchen floor.
  • I awoke this morning at 5 to a crib full of wonder and enchantment,
  • Of which I had to promptly throw him in the tub and start a load of laundry.
  • Good morning indeed.
  • I got my hair cut this week.
  • And by cut I mean CUT!
  • Yeah, it was nice.
  • I sort of love it.
  • And I'm a little alarmed at the lack of remorse I have for my long hair.
  • Usually there's at least some, you know.
  • I have yet to regret it
  • Which I think is fantastic
  • It's a cute a-line sort.
  • Oh and I colored it back to red.
  • I feel like I finally look the way I feel.
  • Does that make any sense?!
  • It's been fun and easy
  • Except for this morning
  • I cut some bangs, you see
  • And for some reason they will not behave.
  • So instead of looking like this:

  • I look like Mad Madam Mim.

{source}
  • I wish I was joking.
  • You can see the resemblance can't you!!
  • I can't get those bangs to lay down for anything.
  • Product, heat, wetting them down and starting over.
  • Oh boy.
  • I went to the Dr on Monday.
  • I gained 7 pounds.
  • *hangs head in shame*
  • I blame Christmas.
  • My appetite has returned and it's all I can do to keep from eating the entire house.
  • I mean, who's idea was that anyway?!
  • If I wanted to have a weekly weigh in I'd join Weight Watchers!
  • Gosh, at this rate I may have to!!
  • On a happier note, we get to find out what Isabelly is on the 26.
  • And the pressure is killing me.
  • Izacc is positive it's a girl.
  • I wish I was so sure.
  • I guess we'll see.
  • Alright, well, I need a nap.
  • And some lunch.
  • And to mail my nieces Christmas gift to her.
  • I suck at life sometimes.
  • But then again, maybe if I walked around looking like this:
{source}
  • People wouldn't have very high expectations of me anyway.
  • I may have stumbled onto something here...

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Look!  A shiny new button!!  I loves it!
And I'm super glad it's Friday, I have a lot of things to get off my chest.

I confess...
  • Alright. I'm pregnant.
  • If you don't know this by now you obviously haven't been reading my blog.
  • Or my facebook statuses
  • Stati?
  • I don't know.
  • What's the plural of status?!
  • You do not frequent my facebook page.
  • Or you're living under a rock.
  • Or you don't really give two craps.
  • Either way, the deed is done and I am most definitely knocked up.
  • And I am still very sick.
  • I'm 17 weeks.
  • And I AM STILL VERY SICK.
  • Boo to this, I say.
  • Boo!
  • It comes and goes, this is true.
  • But with the other two I was done with this nonsense by week 13, maybe 14.
  • Also all of a sudden I am exhausted.
  • Not so much in the first trimester, mind you.
  • No, no.  Now I'm well into the "golden age" of pregnancy, when everything is supposed to be looking up
  • And I'm still nauseated and ready for bed at 7pm.
  • Boy howdy, I can't wait to see what else is in store.
  • Yikes. maybe I shouldn't put that out there.
  • ANYWAY
  • I am strangely drawn to Bruno Mars' music these days.
  • And when I say strangely drawn, I mean I freakin' can't get enough of the stuff!
  • Like that new song Grenade
  • I have no one in my life I feel this way about,
  • Negatively I mean,
  • And I could listen to this song all day, every day.
  • And he's got some pretty great other songs too.
  • Songs that are heartfelt
  • And super sweet
  • And fun.
  • But come on!
  • How could you not love a song with the lyrics,
  • "Tell the Devil I said 'hey' when you get back to where you're from"?!
  • Awesome.
  • I should really just go buy the freaking album
  • Instead of waiting for one to play on the radio or Pandora.
  • Yup, that's really what I do.
  • I'm awesome, in case you haven't discovered this already.
  • And by awesome, I mean lame.
  • BUT what are you gonna do?!
  • It's January, it's been below zero outside, and I'm cooped up,
  • Tired, getting fatter by the minute, and pretty darn nauseated.
  • Maybe I'll just hibernate til spring.
  • Oooh, yeah.
  • I'll leave the boys a pile of cereal, loaves of bread, and licorice.
  • They'll be totally fine.
  • Goodnight, y'all!

So you should totally go read this blog here and here.  It'll be fun and all the cool kids are doing it!!
