Can you believe it, I am writing again, and this time it didn't take months, only a few weeks, and boy has that time flown by. Coop is one month older, and about 2 years smarter. He is such a busy, busy boy. Only stopping to eat or sleep, he contiues to take the world by storm.
I commented before about him knocking on the bathroom door and occassionally the bedroom door, now almost every night he walks down the hall to his room and waits by the door, knocking quietly so we can put him to bed. Several weeks ago he amazed me by signing "more", Grandma Rose taught him that. Never did I think, in my wildest dreams, how wonderful this little blessing would be.
2 more teeth are coming out to play, and Cooper is handling them wonderfully, with only a runny nose now and then. This week he started walking on his toes, Daddy playfully calls him "tip toes". Yesterday he went to an indoor playground, Wonderwild, and I met up with him. He ran and ran until he wore himself out. They had a really big slide and we went down it together, laughing all the way.
I love my little man. He makes me smile everyday.

Wow
Wow, what a wonderful blogger I am. LOL!! I guess I am no good at this.
Cooper is 14 months old and growing by leaps and bounds every day. I could kick myself for not posting as each new stage went by.
Cooper was sleeping through the night by 4 months, crawling by 6 and walking by 10!! On his first birthday he had 12 teeth. Now he runs and plays, falls down often, and laughs. I just love his big belly laughs and his bright blue eyes, which, by the way did not come from me. He hisses when he sees cats and points at everything. "Ooh, ooh" is his favorite thing to say. He yells "dada" but whispers very softly "mama", I wonder why that is.
He sleeps from 6:30 at night until daddy wakes him at 6:00 on weekdays or until about 7:30 on weekends. Bath time is his favorite time. Daddy makes the biggest bubbles. Sometimes he will even go to the bathroom door and knock on it, that is his way of letting us know he is ready for a bath (sometimes he even does that to his bedroom door when he is sleepy). Every night we read a book, drink milk and turn off the hall light. His favorite snuggle toys are his "wobbies" and his favorite thing to play with is paper.
He has been so easy too far, and I will probably kick myself later for saying that because I will probably curse myself. He hasn't had a bottle for 2 months, and quit taking it so easy, just stopped it and he never asked for it again. FOOD!! Yes, Coop loves food, with an exception of rice and whole bean (except green beans, he loves those). He will let you know when he is hungry, it is one of the few times he is fussy.
Everyday I think about how lucky we are, how much of a true blessing he is to us. How he makes us smile, laugh and cry all at the same time, how grateful I am for him, and how life wouldn't have been complete without him are just a few thoughts that run through my head each day. I get excited to see him everyday, and he gets excited to see us, although sometimes when I go to get him from grandma Rose's he runs away laughing.
Everyone comments how beautiful he is and what a good baby he is. Everyday Rose says he is so pleasant and she loves having Cooper around.
Our favorite saying is "Everybody LOVES Cooper!"

16 weeks really?
Well, 16 weeks have passed by, my how it has flown by. I actually have a little down time, Coop is sleeping and Charles is at work, so I thought I would write a little. This week Cooper had his first fever, got as high as 101, but no worries, on a little virus. He rolled over for daddy last Saturday, but didn't for me until March 31 (Thurs) while waiting for Dr Elahee. Tried a few bites of cereal last night, but I think it gave him a tummy ache. He sat in his booster chair for the first time today. He weighed 13.6 lbs on Thursday. He is getting so big.
I thought that I would try to write a little about my pregnancy and birth just to get it in words, since I started blogging late.
I went to visit my sister, Amy and her kiddos one weekend and felt like I had a cold all weekend. I was stuffy and just feeling like crud, I was also supposed to start my period the week before and hadn't yet. I just felt miserable. On Monday I went to the doctor, determined to loose weight for the millionth time, she asked if there was any chance that I could be pregnant. I said of course not. Thinking it was totally not possible I am too old and it was the last thing on my mind. Tuesday I was cleaning out my office and found a pregnancy test. I thought I would take it the next morning just because. I still hadn't started, but it was no big deal.
I got up for work on Wed and took the test. Positive??? No way. Must be contaminated. Took 2 more at work, still positive. There must still be a mistake so I took one more at home. Well, it was positive too. Made an appt with the doctor for the next week. I now had the hardest secret to keep, should I say something to Charles or wait until it was confirmed? I decided to wait what would seem like the longest week of my life. All the thoughts that went through my head....will this be a healthy baby, a boy, a girl, how will Charles react? Am I excited or just plain scared? Only time will tell......
next time I will let you know how I told Charles, it is really cute..

14 weeks
I can't believe that today is 14 weeks. All the milestones that we have passed so far. He first rolled over at 3 weeks, smiled at 6, started talking at 9 weeks. Just can't wait for him to laugh out loud, he tries and is getting really close. Last week was his first week with the sitter "grandma Rose" Cooper did really good. Last weekend, Logan and Braden came and they all had a blast. Cooper saw his first IMAX movie about Texas and he couldn't take his eyes off the screen. He was such a good boy. Sleeping is getting better for both of us, thank God. I love to watch Coop sleep. Today I just watched and thought about what a wonder gift from God he is. He is perfect. Everyone says he is just the cutest baby ever, even the nurses at the hospital couldn't get enough of him, and to think I cried several times while I was pregnant thinking I would have such an ugly baby. How stupid was I. I just love this little kiddo. Charles is a wonderful daddy too. Maybe it is a good thing that we waited, we are much more patient and laid back. Today I am thanking God for our beautiful little blessing while I am watching him giggle in his sleep.

Week 12
Well, now I decide to start blogging. I should have started this a year ago. Better late than never. I can't believe that Cooper is 12 weeks old already, my how time has flown. He is smiling and cooing like crazy. He loves to give his daddy all his sugars and to snuggle with me in the morning. I go back to work tomorrow and I am not excited about it at all. I will miss our mornings. Right now he is curled up napping in my lap. Each day brings something new and exciting. I wonder what today will bring....yesterday we learned that if you want to wake up Cooper, put him in his bed. :) I love to watch him sleep, he has the cutest little smiles and laughes. It is even cute when he cries in his sleep.
