Thinking of you flowers

Running a little behind today.  This is a card I made to send to my cousin.  I just got this quilted embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  Today my choice for cardstock was mainly linen.  The base is Bluestone Linen.  The quilted layer is Baronial Ivory Linen.  Finally the sentiment is Basis Light Yellow.
This card is a corner Pop Up Card.  I love the look.  The middle left panel is a little crooked.  Sorry about that.  I have to see if I can fix that before mailing.

Twist and Pop Trucks

This is a card I made for the grandson of one of my friends.  He is five and has stage 2 cancer.  I have been trying to send cards once in a while.  This card is cute but rather difficult to take pictures of.  I thought it was cool because the inside pops out.  It is called a twist and pop card.  I found the directions on Y-tube.

The base for this card is something I had because it had to be 12 inches.  All the rest of the cardstock came from the Basis Package.  The colors used are Light Yellow, Orange, Teal, Dark Orange, Gold, Orange and Light Blue.  You have to love this line of cardstock because it comes in so many colors.   These trucks are just perfect for little boys. .  I have two stamp sets and they came from http://flonzcraft.com/

Heartfelt Thoughts

I have had this stamp for a while.  I just did not know what I wanted to do with it.  I finally decided to stamp it and cut it out.  I am in love with the Misti stamp positioner!  It gives  me the opportunity to stamp the image  as many times as I want until I get the definition I am looking for.

The base and dark layer in this card is Emerald Green Classic Linen.   The Linen has a beautiful texture to it.

The embossed layer is Serpentine Mica/ Metallic.  On the Serpentine layer I embossed the music.  I then added some distress ink to highlight the image.

The white layer and stamped image are Cryogen White.  Cryogen is always my go to to stamp my images on.

Love and Blessings

A friend was having their girls baptized.  I wanted the cards to be similar but still different.
I will talk about the love, hope, faith card first.  The base for the card is Cotton Candy Pop Tones.

It seems like I always turn to Cryogen white for the main image.  The rays of sun were a stencil that I had.  It seemed to be perfect for a baptism.  I sponged the edge for some contrast.

The cross was cut on a cricut out of Magenta Basis and the center cross is Monterey Sand Linen.

Now for the second card.  The base for this card is Emerald Green Classic Linen.

The image was stamped again on Cryogen White. I colored the image with copic markers.   The image was placed on Baronial Ivory classic linen.  Again the stencil of rays was used.  I sponged around the edge for some highlight. Blessings was stamped in the corner in a dark pink.

Just for You

This is a card I made for a girl that was leaving work.  I decided to dig into my dies for this one.  Love this background die but just don't use it much.

The base of the card is a beautiful ivory.  The cardstock is Barronial Ivory Classic Linen.  The darker purple is Amythyst Mica Metallic.  I just can't seem to get away from the Mica Metallic line.  Just love that sheen.  Finally the lighter purple is Kunzite Mica Metallic

The main image is on Cryogen White.  I used a die to cut the uneven edge rectangle.  Also took a little ink pad to the edge to highlight it.

Summery Thank You

I just got a new Stampin' Up bundle.  The stamp set is called Petal Palette.  The die set is called Petals and More.

The base for this card is from Neenah Solar White.  The pretty light purple is Grapesicle Pop Tones.  The pop tones embossed beautifully.

The sentiment and die cut pink piece are from Pink Basis.  I was going for the pretty pastel summery look.

The yellow die cut is from Banana Split Pop Tones.  The background piece with the polka dots is Light Green Basis (sorry but this is no longer available). The cryogen with the little bit of shimmer would work well here.   The  accent leaves are from Limeade Pop Tones.

Finally the colored image is done on Cryogen White.  The cryogen is always the cardstock I go to for coloring an image. I colored the image with Ranger distress crayons and then used a water brush to spread

Flowers for Your Birthday

This is a card I made for my Mom's birthday.  I wanted something bright for the base so Orange Fizz Pop Tones did the trick.

I decided to dig into my dies.  The Aquamarine Mica Metallic is nice and thick and has a sheen to it.  It cut beautifully.  The sentiment and the flower center are cryogen white.  Cryogen is my go to whenever I want to color an image.  It is also good for stamping sentiment.   I added a little bit of color around the edge of the oval with a stipple brush.  The ribbon and sparkly corners were from my stash.
