For Funsies

Here are some random pics of us over the past couple of weeks.

I think I might be a little big for our pool. Turning in it is a bit tricky.

Sydney has learned how to spell her name, and she can write it too!

Peyton loves to climb in the shoe basket. She also loves taking all the shoes out to make sure there's enough room to get in.

Sydney did her very first soccer camp and loved it. She got her very own t-shirt and ball, just like me. Here she is with wacky hair on Wacky Wednesday.

Peyton loves to be pushed around on Syd's scooter.

Adventures with Aunt Kari and Karin

Aunt Kari and Karin came to visit a couple of weeks ago, and of course we had to go on a bunch of adventures.

We started off visiting Snoqualmie Falls. It was really hot that day and there were a lot of people there. I fell asleep in the car while we were driving to the lower view of the falls after lunch, so we never got to see that part.

We also went to the Farmer's Market. Syd got a piggy back ride from Aunt Kari, held hands with Karin, and I was my crazy self.

Karin went home after two days, but Aunt Kari hung around for two more, so we headed to Henry Moses and I was finally tall enough this summer to go on the big slides!!!

Peyton LOVED the water. She's like a little fish.

Aunt Kari was also here for Sydney's first ballet performance. While Syd was practicing her performance during her last class, we took a little dip in the Cedar River.

Sydney did a week long princess dance camp where she got to dance like all her favorite princesses. She loved it and she did a great job in her final dance. She's the one in the yellow shirt and black skirt.

I got to go on my first ferry ride while Aunt Kari was here. We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island and got some super yummy ice cream there. Then we came back. It was really windy on the boat, but totally cool!

Peyton loved the boat ride too. (I think Peyton loves everything.) She crawled all over the deck.

This was the first time we had seen Aunt Kari since right before Christmas! That's the longest we've gone without seeing her. I sure hope it's not eight months before we get to go on more adventures together!

Renton River Days

We've been busy this past week! Lots and lots of pictures. We'll start with Renton River Days. We headed to the park for all of the fun kid activities they have. We do this every year, but this time we went in the evening and Dad got to come with us!

Of course I had to check out the Lego tent and try to create something.

I also got to try out this robot catapult. I moved a joystick around and shot that red ball into the air.

Syd had fun trying to throw balls into different holes (with a little help from Dad).

And then we both got to spray water from a fire hose!

On Saturday morning we headed to the parade, like we do every year.

Mom and Dad said that if we waved and smiled a lot, we would get lots of candy. Boy, were they right! We waved like crazy and I think we got more candy than we've ever gotten.

Peyton even got in on the action and clapped a bunch.

We gave some good high fives and Dad even got a sticker from a clown.

Oh, and Mom was there too. She always seems to be taking pictures and she made Dad take this one so we would remember that she was there.

And then she got photo bombed by a clown!

Of course we had to get snow cones. Yum!

It was a great parade. And then, later that afternoon we went miniature golfing! I'm pretty good at golfing.

Sydney is still learning, so she figured out that if she hit the ball a few times and it didn't get into the whole, she could just pick it up and drop it in herself. Voila!

But the cool thing about this game was that all four of us got a hole in one during the game! For real! Even Sydney--without any help! What an awesome day!

This and that

Syd and I finished up our first session of swim lessons. It was harder than I remembered, and just when I was getting the hang of the backstroke and the crawl and stuff, the session was over. Sydney was really excited for lessons, but she actually didn't like them as much as she thought she would. Even with goggles she didn't like blowing bubbles in the water and refused to put her head under. Maybe we'll both do better next time.

Mom put a Baby Einstein video and Peyton loved it.

Random cuteness.

We had a couple of thieves steal the nearly ripe blueberries off our bushes--and in broad daylight!

Peyton had her first taste of corn on the cob and loved it. She will eat anything you give her--and lots of it.

I was kind enough to share my milkshake with her, but a few sips weren't enough for her.

Peyton practicing her yoga poses.

Syd wanted comfy, cozy feet one night, and so put on her fuzzy boots.

Totally random pics, but that's all that's been going on lately. Next week Aunt Kari and Karin are coming for a visit, so I should have lots of fun pictures to share next time!
