hello december!

I think i'm getting lazy to update!

2 weeks into the hols... say long not long, say short not short. Feels like I have been super busy but then dun really know what i'm busy with also. hmmm... Eat and eat and eat, but like nv exercise! Softball trainings also quite few... bleah!

Attended my cousin's wedding in KL last weekend. Pics are up in facebook! Quite a nice short trip ... Quite nice to see my aunties laughing when wathing Tom & Jerry in the coach. Feels quite good to take photos with each other all night. And my cousins all 长大了. Little boys have become more matured and handsome. Little girls grew up to be pretty (and in my cousin's case, married.) hohohoho!

In the midst of a "mini FYP camp" this week! Sucks! Stare at the screen for the whole afternoon until sian! But at least we are moving a little... perhaps a slow jog? If we don't meet it's like crawling... gah. Can't wait to get this thingy done!

Yellowstone countdown: 4 months!
FYP countdown: 3 months!
End-of-year countdown: 19 days!

Other stuffs.... update next time when I feel like it! haha *winks to piggy*

OOH!! Haven't been updating in awhile! Coz feeling kinda sian!

Studying for my papers this semester was .... painful! 3 papers, but one paper each week. No doubt I had loads of time to prepare... uhhh... but it was really tough to focus. Super restless. Facebooking alot. haha And yay, i found some really old primary school frens! I'm excited for a get together with them. Almost 10 years man!!!

Remember I did some count down thingy? Here's an update! = )

Yellowstone countdown: 5 months!
FYP countdown: 4 months!
End of semester countdown: nil ! (last paper was today!)

Oh my god.I'm actually graduating. I'm excited actually. Despite the gloomy outlook... Feelikng kinda sian with school already!

Anyway I'm super duper happy that my final paper for next sem ends on 15th april = ) And 2 weeks after that I'll be flyyyyyyyyyying to yellowstone =) And I have a nice 2 day week. = )

For now... it shall be interhall games plus trainings, hrc chalets, gatherings with old frens! and fyp. =( *Btw Marge, my research is for my final year project. Ehh what exactly I'm researching on is still a blur. HAHA. sth related to corporate facebook and organizational attractiveness. gah.

I love the East

Was feeling kinda bored and siannnnn so I went for a jog over the weekend. Ended up snapping pics here and there.

Here's why I love the East! =)

This place reminds me of the route we ran for cross country in TK.

I only played this once during Sports Club's orientation program. But it's fun!!! Peeps, let's go batam to cable skiiiiiii!

My house is just behiiiiiiiiind~

Satay Club! Yuummmm!

I love my house coz it's so assessible! Near to the beach, loads of buses to everywhere, near to my school (except ulu NTU). Only complaint is that .. no mrt near by!!! Ok lah, 10 mins to Bedok counted? Oh and here's the highway that kept Ber awake when she stays over! LOL. And I remember koping the ferns on the tree for my Young Botanist Science card thingy!

One of my after-school hangouts when I was younger... I remember 'practising' my shuttle run here! LOL.

Another place where I hang out with my neighbours - the corridor outside my house! We play here almost everyday and somehow always able to entertain ourselves! =) Actually looks kinda tiny to squeeze 5 running kids (or on bicycles) now.

Ah! The new look of my house door! No more chains and locks. lol. And the trusty bicycle is still there! That bike can tahan 3 peoples' weight! My mum used to cycle me and my bro to primary school, holding an umbrella on one hand. Zai!

The latest member to join the family! A new TV and i -dunno-what-you-call-that... TV console? My house undergone a mini-renovation. About time! =)

While at Work

Diligence and discipline are characteristics of Ms Ng's work attitude. She is often pre-occupied with the tasks at hand. As she derives satisfaction from being immersed in work and thrives on being involved, expect Ms Ng to put in long and extended hours at work.

Time is a major concern for Ms Ng. She is frequently punctual and even early for appointments. When time is critical, she moves quickly and acts promptly. Having a sense of urgency means that Ms Ng pushes to get things done when there is a deadline and allocates time properly when planning or organising activities. She can be depended upon to get work done on schedule.

Ms Ng generally will persist with work until it is completed but may at times not complete her tasks.

Ms Ng is likely to be quality-conscious and achievement-oriented. She is motivated to produce work that is of a high standard. She is observant, quick to spot errors and critical where work is concerned. She is likely to be meticulous, careful and pre-occupied with detail.

Ms Ng is generally objective but may at times be emotional. Although Ms Ng is usually a sympathetic person, she may at times be selective about being involved in the personal problems of people.Being a shy, quiet and reserved person, Ms Ng prefers her own company and feels awkward when meeting people for the first time. In social gatherings, she tends to stay in the background.

Ms Ng selectively forms strong bonds with people although these bonds may not be very deep.Ms Ng is moderately serious about her responsibilities and selectively takes ownership of her work.

Ms Ng is moderately concerned with prestige, rank and reputation.

Ms Ng sees people as friendly, reliable and honest. She is trusting and believes what people say. She tends to be unsuspecting of people.s behaviour and motives. She is uncomfortable when she has to wheel and deal.

Ms Ng's leadership qualities are moderate and she is sometimes able to get the support of people.Ms Ng is as keen to explore abstract concepts when the topic appeals to her and she is as interested to discuss theoretical issues as the average person.

Ms Ng puts in effort to plan ahead some of the times. She may at times not be as detailed in her planning.

Ms Ng is not an expressive person and may have difficulty expressing her ideas, thoughts or plans. Her language ability may not be strong and she could be described as a person of few words.

Being one who needs clear and thorough instructions before she can proceed on action, Ms Ng resists when conditions are uncertain. She does not adapt easily to changes. Before she embarks on a new project, expect Ms Ng to find out more and probe deeply.

hMmmmm. I agree with most of it. do you? but uhh... shy, quiet and reserved person? LOL person of few words? wahahaha!

busy!

hello!

haven't been updating coz i've been busy...

dropping 005 was wise afterall. on top of softball and my social dance, i'm trying to stay afloat with my tonnes of readings... preparations for presentations and assignments... fypppppppppppp. and i think i have to start working on my learning & development project soon.

gulpz!! go jo!

anyway, with the encouragement of a classmate, i attended deutsche bank 's networking event last night. hmmm, i must say i 'm pretty impress with what it has to offer. despite not being overly enthusiastic about the banking industry, i think i might just go ahead to apply for it's analyst training programme and see how it goes!

quote from my senior "if you get rejected, it's not that you are not good. but perhaps you are not the best fit for the organisation." yah lo... if not there's no org-person fit, i dun think it'll be enjoyable staying in the company anyway! haha Selected or not, it'll be a good interview practice! dum dee dum.

shucks, means... despite the existing workload, i still have to find time to prepare cover letters, resumes, research on the companies i'm going to apply for... and preparing for interview. wooooh~

i actually feel kinda relieved. maybe i 'll go for a 2nd shot next sem.

i added malay 2 = ) i hope it'll be as enjoyable as it was in year 1. but teacher changed. and may have no kawan to cakap during kelas! see how it goes, tml is the first lesson!

Watched Batman Begins on Ch5 the other day! Liked it quite a bit so I decided to caught The Dark Knight...

I think the movie is great!!! Action packed! But I feel a bit disturbed by the darkness of the show! hahaha.

Joker scareeeeees me. But the acting was reaaaally good. Batman is damn cool, and so are his funny gadgets and equipment. Harvey Two-face is .... oh gosh... disgustingly eerie. *gulpz*

Go watch if you haven't done so!

WHAT A (FATTENING) WEEK.

What I have done for the past week? Eat.. eat.. and...eat...

How much?

THIS much ...

1) Monday: Buffet treat by Director at Carousel. *Buuuuuuurps*
This place offers loads of varieties! Jap, Western, Chinese etc etc And of course, yummy looking desserts!

Pretty?

Cakes gone, but here's the chocolate fondue!

Guilty... so I went for my 2nd gym date in the evening after work! First gym date was to do the fitness assessment haha! Anyway gym left me 'limping' for the next couple of days. He made me do lunges... *gah*

2) Tuesday: Lunch treat by supervisor - Overpriced sandwich meal + french fries + chocolate milkshake! *Burps*

3) Wednesday: Not many days with STB left. So despite having body aches all over since Monday's session, I went on my 3rd, and sadly final, gym date during lunch!

Then... piling on calories ever since..

Met up with the softballers for dinner at BBQ Chicken @ Cineleisure!

No pic of me, so pic of Stacy Foo Ah Ma lor! Miss you!!! Hope u are well in Perth!

After dinner, I popped over to St James with Anli & Stan... Hmmm. I guess I will be staying away from vodka for awhile. Anyway, though we din't exactly dance, we had fun drinking, playing finger guessing, and uh.. taking photos that are not uh... meant to be shown publicly. LOL.

4) Thursday: I became a walking zombie. Was really torturing coz I couldn't sleep at work openly. But nevertheless, stomach still had work to do. Colleague's birthday celebration at Demsey's DOME. I had Fish & Chips + a slice of the birthday brownie. *BURPS*

*stomach, hang in there, almost at the end of the week!*

5) Friday. Guess what was my farewell party?

THIS--->

Enough to set up a mama shop!

My manager decided to organise a tidbits party after we started talking about old school snacks while eating Mamee in the office. haha! Cute! I miss those red chilli tapioca thingy! Check out those glass bottle softdrinks at the side!

I think I went for a jog after work. I can't remember... but I sure hope I did!

6) Sat: Had a couple of old primary school friends for steamboat dinner at my place! *BURPS BURPS*

Was really nice catching up and laughing at old pics. Boy, we have certainly grown. Maybe I shall scan and upload the old pics when I'm free!

7) Sun: Ate at Tiong Bahru market. Prawn Mee (featured in the Qiang Tan Da Xing Dong show ... Was good!), Chwee Kuey, some fried toufu thingy, Oreo and Cheese Cheewy Junior donut like thingy... *burpsssss*

Popped over to Fort Siloso.

Up into the skies via the Tiger Sky Tower? Forgot the name. Oh we sat in the cable cars too! Haven't sat that in a loooooooooooooong while. View isn't fanstastic with all the constructions going on. Pics at Paws Place

The day we (or rather, I) were happily taking pictures in Paws Place.

Me and the other NTU intern. - Meng Ni! The one who totally reminds me of Xiao Wen. Maybe I miss you too much lah, Blossoms. Where are you???

So what's in Mother's Haven?
...
Baby photos, baby wipes, and music player. Heh!

Totally making myself at home. Wahahaha~!

And the massage I have been waiting for... And I realise this shot is pretty unglam. *gulpz* wahahhaa! OH watever. = \

Hello!

Haven’t posted sth in awhile! Hehe. Been kinda lazy! Initially I din have much to post about. But recently I have been doing some stuff so I got stuff to write already!

Work has been really draining! Coz I have nth much to do so I have been desperately finding my own source of entertainment to keep me busy.

Happy that I finally dropped by the gym =) Place is niccccccee! Aircon, new facilities, gym instructor! Wahhahahaa But a bit weird to have an instructor roaming around, will get a bit conscious! “Am I doing this correctly? Do I look funny doing this?" Oh and the toilet is clean and relatively spacious also! The size of the shower head is like almost the diameter of a plate!!! Hehehehe Feels good to work out and coming back to the office refreshed. The only mafan thing is bathing and putting makeup … takes a while to get ready! Ahhh Nvm lah, I have nth much to do anyway… HOR?

My mum was worried that I may appear too slack! Haha But I am indeed slacking! I asked for work, but not much really. So in the end I offered to do a bit of cleaning… pens which are leaking ‘oil’… They have a scholarship fair coming so we are using this opportunity to distribute the pens away! Haha It’s very… ummm.. brainless and saigang-ish … but I don’t mind doing it to kill time man. I kept myself entertained while reading another version of book 7 online http://www.harrypotterandthecrucibleofthesoul.com . I like this version quite a lot = ) BUT it stopped at chapter 18… why! It was getting exciting…

Anyway now I’m finding stuff to read… I’m going really slow on my cleaning just in case this is the only source of work I have. Any recommendations? Ber introduced me to Xia Xue’s blog. Hahaha Interesting. Really!

Had an enjoyable afternoon on Fri! Some enthusiastic interns from STB organised an interns lunch gathering. Before the rest arrived, Meng Ni and I were happily taking pics of ourselves in the nice room – “Paws Place”. *grinz* I finally tried on the massage chair! Heehee. We had nuggets, fries, fried rice, donuts, sausages… and we played taboo. Will be having another session this Friday. Yay! Can't seem to post the pics from work. Post them tonight or sth!

Went down to Orchard Hotel to help set up the booth for scholarship fair. I’m so pissed with that slow moving service lift. It was SOOOOOOO slow, and warm. Now I know the anguish of the deliverymen. Supposed to pack the bags but the printing guys cocked-up, printed the wrong bags. Ooops. Anyway I din stay all the way to help coz I left for Seniors Camp! The post is getting a bit too long, shall talk bout Sr Camp in another post.

Party, Clay, Work

I can be a very boring person. Some times I just don't wanna do anything. Lazy to go out... just stay at home and rest and do nothing! Hmmmmm....

Anyway, met up with some really old frens at June's 21st. It was really nice catching up and talk bout the good old days. We also self-entertained among ourselves while the birthday girl is busy going around entertaining her other frens. hehe. And I realise that charades can be a really fun game! Laugh until stomach ache. Try acting out "Mas Selamat", "oily glass panel on the MRT", "Khatib" and "Light Rapid Transit".

Does the board remind you of American Idol? They even rented an American Idol show and played on TV. Was enjoying Clay's performance on Tv.

Speaking of which... Clay Aiken is going to be a DAD!~!!~~ And the mother is some 50 yr old music producer, Jaymes Foster. Interesting... But he looks damn gay now, sad! I would have no problems if he really was gay... but he looks pretty bad now! (at least he was gayishly cute then...)

Before: He looks damn cute when he's performing. And I love his voice = )
After: Ok this pic is still not too bad. Boyish.

Actually I like these 2 shots. I think this image is not bad. Still quite pretty looking. hehe

BUT NOT THIS.

AND DEFINITELY NOT THIS EITHER.

Indeed... Weight matters. Hair style matters. Image matters. I really should feel motivated to keep check on myself. HAHA~ C'mon Clay... you can do it!

Anyway... My prof came down to visit and he had a long talk with my supervisor, and with me! He's a little intimidating coz he seems so.... intellectual, and can see that he has high expectations! Briefed me bout my elogbook and PA report. Stress stress!!! But ok, I've decided to not worry so much and see how it goes!

And I'm quite thankful that he's my PA supervisor. He will be my prof next sem for this module called Learning and Development. He actually requested my supervisor to expose me to this area... which I'm soooooooo glad he did. Coz after that my supervisor gave me some reading materials to read and I found it really interesting. She also invited me to sit through a meeting with a vendor for some training programme. Yay! I prefer this much more to my assigned project. hohohoho. It would have been an unfruitful week at work... lucky for this pleasant change at the end of the week. = )

Friday, May 30, 2008

woohooooooooo!

HOHOHO.

It's funny.

Just yesterday I was wishing for more work to do.

Today I got my wish. But a bit too much to take at one go man! haha
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had nothing to do again in the morning... went on ebuddy to find pple to talk. haha! And guess what... I took a 2 hour lunch break!!! GULPZ. Feels guilty. Luckily I didn't have work to complete. hahaha Was with a group of temp staff and since today is the last day of the Swensen's 1-for-1 sundae deal... we went! Yah man. Hahaha Took a bus down just for ice-cream deal. Unbelievable.

But honestly, we didn't purposely tuo. There was a bit of queue... waited a while for the food to be served. And since we ordered so much, we took some time to eat also. I had sambal grilled fish. Comes with soup of the day, cup of coffee, and icecream + small piece of brownie. And then we bought the 1-for-1 sundae... HAHA. Fillllllling! Ended up paying $18... for lunch on a normal working day! haha
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh ya, back to my story. So after lunch.... I decided to ask my supervisor whether she has stuff for me to do. Discussed for a short while regarding my presentation later in the afternoon so I went to tidy up my slides. Then finally, it was time for my presentation. Luckily it was more like a meeting than a presentation. During the discussion with my supervisor and another colleague... it hit me that I have loads of preparation to do for the next few weeks!

My project requires me to update and then review certain terms, policies and procedures for this guidebook for employees who are posted overseas for their international assignment.

I feel a bit like a lost sheep coz apparently certain policies are not formally documented so there are certain issues with regard to the claims and reimbursements etc etc. To prevent myself from revealing any confi info, I shall just be brief.

Firstly, information is all over the place... So I need to find a way to contact different pple and seek their advice. The problem is... they seem busy most of the time... A bit paiseh to bother them leh.

Secondly... Some pple are still in the process of reviewing whatever they need to review. And I need these information to produce a revised and updated guidebook. I can't rush them right...

Thirdly... Most of the processes involved are pretty technical... which I have never been exposed to. For example personal income tax. I never pay before! haha! If the tax rates where the employee is posted to differs from Sg, do the posted employee claim back from the company for the tax difference... etc etc etc ... I don't know man! GULPZ.

I foresee a lot of readings to be done and long hours by the computer!

And when everything is more or less settled, I think I have to present to the Director or whoever is involved in this reviewing project. Deadline? In roughly two weeks I think? Oh my god!

I'm excited to have work to do. But the excitement is somewhat dampened by the ... i-feel-damn-lost-feeling. *breathe in deeply* wooohoooo! I shall take up the challenge sia!

Anyway, my Friday ended nicely. Met up with Eddie for dinner today. Left two poor souls coz the rest of my vj classmates had stuff on/ not in sg. I TRIED DURIAN CHEE CHEONG FUN!!! It's some place by the road in Somerset. The price is decent and I'm satisfied, coz no need to pay service charge! haha! Plus I was a bit on budget after my fulfiling lunch. Anyway the durian chee cheong fun wasn't fantastic becoz I prefer durian on its own... But ok lah, try for fun. Quite interesting. I will try the mango and strawberry one someday.

YAY! Weekend!!! Badminton on Sunday with ah ma! = )

What I like at work

At work

I like it when I'm kept busy.
I like it when my inbox is filled with mails.
I like it when my telephone rings.
I like to move around and have work to finish
I like it when people says hi and bye as they walk past you.
I like it when people says "thanks for your help!" "you have been helpful!"
I like it when I don't have to think so hard about what to say (i.e conversation flows smoothly) during lunch.
I like it when people smiles and makes small talk in the lift. (
I like it when I can help to save paper. (albeit in the process, I sometimes carelessly ended up using more than necessary)

What I don't like? When the statements above are in the opposite!

I don't like awkward silence and I really don't like it when I have nothing to do! Coz I'll keep checking my mails and when there's no new messages, I'll get disappointed. hahaha Is this weird?

I was a bit disturbed today after work when one of my colleagues walked past without saying bye! At that moment, I had the "i-dun-know-you, stranger" feeling.... or worse still, the "i-know-you, but-I-can't-be-bothered-with-you" feeling.

That's why I always make it a point to say bye (at least to the people sitting around me) whenever I leave. I will also drop by my supervisor's cubicle to say that I'm leaving... coz I think it's polite to do so.

So I'm puzzled and disturbed when people just walk away liddat! = (

"Maybe they are in a rush." .... "But it doesn't take long to say bye!!!"
"Maybe they are shy?" ... "But it's only one short word!!!"
"Maybe they din see you." ... "... ... ... I absolutely don't think so."
"It's just bye only lah... care so much for what?" ... "I wonder why too."

Maybe I should learn to let such things not bother me so much.

让爱川流不息

wahhhh. I just caught the 让爱川流不息 charity show and it's damn heartwrenching!!! There were really meaningful poems recited during the show. Anybody knows where to get them?

Watched the show with my mum. haha and we kept tearing! Especially when Quan Yifeng mentioned bout this mama who died protecting her little baby and left a message on her cellphone in chinese saying sth like "To my beloved child, if you survive, i want you to know that mummy loves you very much."

I'm so glad and feel really blessed that we are living in this safe little island ... protected from such disasters. We probably can't imagine the pain that these people feel when disaster strikes... But anyway it's heartwarming to know that there are many many many pple here who really cares = ) And hopefully mother nature would be touched and stop all these sufferings! (another strong aftershock hit Sichuan today again!)

My first two weeks

Heyo!

Work has been draining my energy by quite a bit. So I haven't been online everyday after work! I don't even bother switching on my computer man. By the time i reach home, it'll be around 8pm. So i eat my dinner, bathe and spend my night watching tv. (I'm currently hooked onto the 9pm ch 8 show! Got shuai ges and mei nus. hehe.) Then I'll usually sleep by 1130!

Work is not very interesting most of the time. I've been helping out with the administration of applicants who applied to STB as volunteers or for internship... Contact them, screen their resumes, arrange the interview schedules, help to prepare offer letters (i realised that microsoft office has some fanstastic tools man. it can help to personalise letters automatically for individual people! cool cool. i should attend some of these lessons.) Yup yup. I sat in during a couple of internship interviews and I found them pretty interesting. Can observe what the interviewers asked and how the candidates responded...

The candidates were from XYZ poly. Listening bout their experiences and stuff at school kinda made me wish that if only I applied for that course last time. It' sounded very hands-on and interactive. And their internship job scope sounded very interesting too! Oh wells. But then coming to work in this company also made me realised the importance of a degree. Coz you can't rise above a certain position if u lack that piece of paper. = \ And do you get the feeling that the higher up you go, the more office paper work you will be dealing with? Meetings after meetings, doing up strategies and policies blah blah blah...

Anyway ya, overall it's not too bad. I've been doing relatively easy work coz I don't really need to think and I get the chance to see what kinda stuff people in HR does. LOL. And I may get a chance to go for a couple of fieldtrips! =) But my main assignment is to review certain policies and procedures in this guidebook thingy... which is a bit worrying coz i dunno if i have any suggestions/recommendations. hohoho!

Last week, I was assigned some very boliao stuff to do. There was one day I had to sit at this counter and wait for candidates to arrive and bring them to the interview room. Luckily I wasn't alone man. May also had to sit by the counter and wait for tour guides to take some english tests thingy. So for the entire day, we spoke to the very friendly cleaners, a couple of enthu tourguides... This temp staff from another level also popped by and we chatted. Ya, so that day was super slack. Just talk and talk and talk.

Haha There was a funny incident though. One of the cleaners spotted this little red packet (see the pic) on the floor near the counter and asked whether I dropped it. I picked it up. Looked at it. Laughed. Passed it to May and said "Is it yours?" Then he thought for a moment, and later said "I know whose is it!"

Wanna guess what that little red packet contained? Heeheehee! We were thinking whether to return to the tourguide but a bit paiseh so May decided to throw it into the cupboard.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanted to blog bout my first day at work but I a bit scared of revealing things that I'm not supposed to. haha Probably due to my knowledge on "Duty of fidelity - Trade Secret & Confidential Information" which I had learnt in my Employment Law class. muhahaha!

But anyway... first day was ... LOL. Well i didn't do any work at all. Except for the last 2 to 3 hours before I knock off. Partly coz my supervisor was a bit busy with her own stuff. So my buddy brought me around to say hi to pple and explore the building. Hehehe!

If got chance, I would love to try out the gym. There's a pool table and those darts thingy too. May (the VJ softballer) is a temp staff there! Popped by his level to say hi for awhile then later during lunch break saw him and his group of temps playing those table soccer thingy and pool. Enjoy sia!

In the morning... I had this briefing thingy bout the mission, vision, various depts etc etc. We were briefed together with some other new permanent staffs... so I know some of the benefits that they are entitled too. heeheeehee. Cool. Much more than the statutory minimum. (*wink to Stacey*) <--- I learnt this in Employment Law too! It's exciting to see what have been mentioned in class are actually practiced in the real world... Like those flexi-time... employee feedback portal... buddy system... work life balance etc etc. Ok .. so far so good. I like the people and the environment. Casual and relax! Luckily I didn't buy a lot of formal wear. heh. Shall update again when I have disclosable stuff to blog about. Take care ya'll!

Time to watch Lost! Like finally...

back to my to-do list

Yay, Cleared 3 items on my to-do list.
1) Pack my wardrobe, and make space for new clothes! HAHA
3) Time to clear some books and some notes. I don't like to throw my books and notes away despite knowing that I probably won't really touch them again!
4) Plan some stuff for my HRC chalet
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
After days of packing... I've done some reflection. I shall not buy any more stationery. I think the supply I have at home will last me a lifetime sia!!!

The state of my hall room while I was packing! Messy? My room at home was 10 times worser! And in the midst of packing, I found these....

I'm not a fan of any of these Singapore Idols. But I kept this coz it reminded me of sth silly which me and my grp of girl frens did some years back. Kekekeke. Right Ber? Shall post that pic up some other time. Errr... In the end that poster ended up in the dustbin.

And my Clay too... Sorry man! = ( But I kept my a1 poster. Maybe coz they were my first love. hohoho! Where are you guysssss?

Part of my stack of magazines (there are many many many more not shown in the picture) which I have decided to keep. See anything common in these magazines? heh.

Gee. Sometime I wonder why I'm keeping all these. To read when I'm old and have nothing to do issit? I can't bare to throw them away lah~~~ At least for now = \

So... as you might have guessed, I din throw away as much stuff as I had wanted to. I finally threw away my sec 4 geography textbook BUT i still kept my bio textbook and my jc notes. WHY???

Bleah. Hello~ I'm a Business student. Someone please persuade me to throw those sciency stuff away! I don't think I'll be giving tuition or end up being a teacher. I think. Even IF i do, syllabus changed alreeeeeeady!!! But the thought of dumping my hard work into the dustbin is.... *painful. lol

terabithia

Terabithia

Not a must-watch, but overall I think it's quite ok. Coz .... cute kids + animal + tear-inducing! haha!

I like the carefree lives... and the "being surrounded by nature" feeling. = )

My August Rapsody

OOH. Last paper on Fri... just ended my employment law paper... so watch movie to relax a bit!

It's a good show worth watching, especially if you "feel" music. Quite touching in a different way. Uniquely heart warming = )

Synopsis:

August Rush is part romance, part gentle fantasy, but this sweet drama is all heart. When young cellist Lyla (Keri Russell) and rock musician Louis (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) meet at a party in the mid 1990s, it's love at first sight, and they spend the night in each other's arms. But Lyla's father forces them apart, even though she later learns she's pregnant. Later, an accident lands Lyla in the hospital, and though her father tells her that her baby died, the child survives and is given up for adoption. August Rush jumps to the present and begins to follow Evan (Freddie Highmore), an 11 year old who has grown up in a boys' home. As Evan embarks on a crusade to find his parents, he imagines he can communicate with them through his gift for music. His journey to New York City brings him into contact with Wizard (Robin Williams), a man eager to capitalize on the child prodigy's talent. Wizard gives Evan the name August Rush as he begins performing all over the city, but the boy's ultimate goal is to find the parents he has never met. Highmore has displayed an almost prodigious talent himself. He's a gifted young actor, and this emotional story is the perfect venue for his acting. As in Evan's life, music plays a central role in August Rush, and it's tough not to let your heart soar along with the melodies.

Listen. Feel. Enjoy!

Little Freddie is so darn cute! He's amazing.

If you realise, I have a thing for blogging bout movies. haha! (and especially sharing pictures of cute, handsome, pretty leads LOL) Good movies must share, so tell me (and perhaps send me? haha!) if you have niceeeee shows = ) I love those sweet sweet touching touching ones... 感触多多-reflections ones... or those with animals or children type of shows! haha

Mr Chia, if you are reading, I'm still waiting for your Fight Club and other shows that you haveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
