=)

oh Yay. Results are out! Pretty satisfied. A bit of disbelief but also glad. But "pleasantly surprised" is the phrase. hohohohoho HAPPY! But the happiness is wearing off already. hehehehehe Remember my entry regarding my disgusting HR modules? I crapped a booklet of answers during one of my papers... which apparently, the profs didn't think it was TAT crappy. I wonder if they even mark through every page of crap. Hohohoho. WATEVER!

Have said it loads of times, but I shall say it again. The semester was so darn horrible that I can't believe I actually survived. Hair loss usually occured during exam period. But i tell u, i think i dropped hair throoooooughout the semester. Stressful!!!

I pray that next semester is more endurable. More fun. More interesting. I look forward to learning something. HAHA. Do u guys feel that I make my course sound useless? hahaha. Oh wells. See how lah, school in 2 weeks! = \

Happy New Year!!! May 2008 be a pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesant, happy, meaningful year =) Looking forward to meeting my softballers and my vj classmates in the next few days!

to brother with love?

Feeling a bit bored so here's some pictures I took during Popular Bookfest 2007!

Star buy star buy ahhhhhhhh~~~ the photo printout is not bad. Waterproof sia, I tested! oh but honestly... wanna print photos go photo shop print lah... cheaper and faster also.

Some shots of my non-so-glam coworker!

Din wanna get caught by the popular staff (coz they said no eating in the hall) so we formed our own Brother cubicle. teeheehee

Some days were like.... a ghost town?

Even the bosses eat snake. Playing PSP!!!
No customers, so self entertain lor. Looking enthusiastic ?

Time for some xiao mei meis to bring more customers to the booth. They were in charged of flyer distribution but got a bit bored so they went over to the ptouch (some Brother labeller thingy) booth to print out labels and pasted on themselves... so tadaH! Walking adverstisements. So cute.

Presenting some Brothers who were on 'duty' on the last day.

Going a bit "huhhhhh" at the end of the bookfest...

BROTHER!

ooh brother!

muhahhahaha. I just played mahjong in hall. 2nd time playing with cash with the pros. LOL. Wasn't as nerve wrecking as the first. Though I din win, I din lose as much as I expected ... Only won thrice in the entire one round. Heng ah, for the last minute 'wu tai'. =) So lost $4. Which can easily be recovered by standing around during the popular bookfest. LOL. It's nice to have some source of income. More willing to spend, and have some sort of 'security' ? hehehe

Anyway I'm pleased with Brother. Coz they are nice pple who buy us muffins and bubble tea plus freebies and incentives. And in a way they kinda increased our basic pay. Lunch and dinner provided. Let's hope for more customers over the weekend = )

Monday's game was a walkover. LOL. 2nd game on Friday... Hope it goes well... considering that not all the players have been attending trainings regularly. bleah. And my manager left hall just liddat without informing me in advance. WAH SEH. power. dotz.

long time no see

Hey man, have been lazy to update. But nothing much to update really. I've been lazy to do anything ...... I still owe a reply to Gracie's postcard and an army fren's letter. I should start searching for companies to do my internship. I want to do a bit of shopping. All not done yet. Oh wells, but I've played mj =) With my brothers and a family fren. Quite shiok. Also went to settlers one day ... U guys should play St Petersburg if u have a chance = )
The semester is finally over, love the 'i-have-a lot-of-time" feeling =) But come to think of it... almost half of Dec is gone liao, and I think I haven't play enough!!! Din plan for a holiday = \ After exams... training for softball and Othello (Reversi). LOL had the sudden urge to try out some rec games... so I tot it might be easier than .. chinese chess/darts/carom/english chess. Eh but it's tough man!
I won my virgin match for othello!! Eh. but I lost the subsequent 4 matches. LOL. Oh wells, doesn't matter, played just for fun. But nevertheless it was damn damn nerve wrecking sia. My heart was pounding. Hands were shaking. wahhahahhahaha. 5 matches in a day a bit taxing on my mental health... hohoho. But it's quite a good experience =) Hopefully my skills will improve with practice. hohohoho.
Boo. I wish it'll stop rainin
g. How to train properly when it's raining every other day? Gee. Now I have to resort to checking out the weather forecast when planning for training dates. bleah.
Anyway ... so I haven't done much other than softball and othello. Watched a lot a lot of shows. Lost. Grey. House. My entertainment in hall... otherwise nothing much to do also. Heroes is alright lah. I still prefer Scofield. And season 3 only continuing in Jan. Crap. Check out youku..com ..... It's quite a useful site to watch shows. hehe.
Oh yay, going to sell Brother printer again during the Popular Bookfest (14th to 23th Dec). Want printer look for me k! hehehe

Whine!!!

GEE!!! I’m in a mood to whine... *grumble grumble grumble*…

I feel blue coz one of my core, “Strategic Hr & Consulting” is such a bull shit module. So shitty that I feel that I have to complain about it. Attempted two past year papers and the questions asked are so shitty. Come come, let me share with you and show you a glimpse of what I’ve been learning (supposedly).

“Assume that you are the VP of HR of a large co. You are about to attend a strategic planning meeting of top management personnel. This meeting will last one week. A key item on the agenda is whether the co will enter the China market.

As you are a ‘strategic partner’ to all the other managers, what issues would you raise at the meeting? Give reasons for raising these issues.”

20marks. Write what? I have shittier questions but I’m too lazy to type, so I took the shortest one. Hmmm… I can’t imagine myself as the VP of HR. And honestly, I am making minimal effort in understanding the business world. I don’t know (and not really interested in) who’s merging with who, which co is going bankrupt and blah blah blah… yikes. Hopefully, maybe after my internship I’ll appreciate such stuff better. Will that ever happen? Gee…

The textbooks that my prof wrote… uh… ok he’s a really nice man. Very knowledgeable, wrote lots of journals and research papers. But… I honestly think his books aren’t very helpful. And I honestly try to pay attention in class. But… my attempts always seem to fail.

This semester was extremely sucky. The projects were disgusting. As I look back at project work now, I think it’s a piece of cake man. I’m so glad it’s over. At least for now anyway… I hope the profs can see the effort we put in…. A decent grade would be a nice motivation = ) But I don’t dare to expect too much. I hope next sem will be better. At least now I think I roughly know what to expect from this course. And I hope I learn something man.

Two more weeks to end of exams, end of Year 2 Sem 1. Yay!!! Dec dec dec. Holiday!!!

This is so random

I miss a1! I miss those days when a group of us would blast songs and sing and sing and sing. I have the urge to play their mtvs sia. "As I look into your eyes... I see an angel in the skies...." ~awwwwww

= \

Alamak. I realise I have nothing much to blog about these days.
School has become kinda boring. And stressful. This semester doesn't seem as enjoyable as last sem... must be the freakin projects. = \

I will probably not be updating for awhile unless I have sth nice and interesting to talk about.

Take care! All the best for exams, let's meet up ok! Kbox! Swimming! ehhh Volleyball! BBq! Mahjong!

I wanna go on a short trip to somewhere in dec... who wanna date me! heeheehee

random stuff

Hmmm. Darn. Sunday in 1 1/2 hrs. School in less than 48 hours. Noooooooo! Dreading loads of stuff. Projects. Presentations. Written Assignments. The only thing i look forward to is dancing on wed. hahaha. 1-2- chachacha!!!

Anyway I've decided that I shan't worry too much about the stuff that I have to do... I shall watch tv when I feel like it. So maybe that's why I've been feeling more relax these days. I like this feeling. hehehe. =)
Heck lah!!!

And I finally went for my jog. tsk tsk tsk. I think I prefer swimming. heh

Went back to NAPS to help teach some students. Had a mini Children's Day celebrations... I MISS CHILDREN'S DAY! One of my fav celebrations of the year. I miss the goody bags and little gifts that the teachers would prepare for us. Oh gee. I just realised that my last celebrations was EIGHT years ago. Man. I feel old... I wanna go back to primary school! =\

Sunday, September 23, 2007

=) and =(

I have been watching loads of TV... catching up on Lost, Ghost Whisperer and some HK medical show. = ) Relaxing. Then I remembered I've LOADS of school work to do. And I've been stuck in my disgusting BH 226 project. = ( . The frustration, the ..... arggggghhhhhh!!!

"Compare the Royal Bank of Scotland with the Best HR practices in World-Class Comapines". piece of shit sia!!!

So I do my project. Few hours later... seems like my research hasn't progressed much. = ( !@#!@!
Then TV again... = )
Back to research =( !@#!@#!
And the cycle repeats.

Damn depressing. So after 2 days... 8 pg worth of not-valuable stuff. Dunno if i'm on the right track. I hope project meeting tml helps. But everybody else seems clueless too. Our professors seem to enjoy 'throwing us in the middle of the sea and expect us to swim when they only taught us how to float.' ok. lousy. but i can only think of describing it this way for now. heh

Not forgetting my BH 223 FastCat project and my company law assignment. a nice 13 pg case study.

Man. I wanna go to Tioman. to Stong. Immerse myself in the nice cold waters and sit under the waterfall. HOLIDAY quick quick quick!!!

Anyway I was going through some photos... hahaha I feel soooooooooo amused... =)

Feels nice to be young.

I wonder whether we'll still be doing stuff like that when we turn 30. WAHAHAHA Can't imagine lao-zhar-bos doing this in public. Hohohohooho

busy busy BUSY!!!

i kinda dislike school when there are so much things to do and so little time to complete.

jcrc elections just ended. wish the new comm best of luck man! =) there are quite a number of positions which are vacant... have been thinking about jcrc quite a bit. (no, i'm not joining. haha) it's meaningful, to a certain extent. and i guess u can learn quite a bit too. but i just can't help thinking, with no CCAs, and no other commitments now, i feel as if i've got tonnes to do already. excuses? maybe partly. at least i can do some other stuff like dancing or fishing when i feel like it. but honestly, without the passion to serve in sth as serious as jcrc, i doubt i will find enjoyment.

so what have i been doing since the last update?
i helped out in jcrc elections taking minutes. LOL. not easy sia. then i was kept busy with my compensation&benefits proj... (ROAR!!!) ... strategic HR case studies ... (argghhh)....

my cores kinda sux at this moment. trying hard to appreciate HR. it's damn tough! have been having not-very-encouraging thoughts of late.
"maybe i should have done science instead. or nie... ";
"wah lao. your econs was a C leh.";
but i have been consistently assuring myself that it's not tooooo bad...
"it's really not too bad LAH..";
"At leastI got an A for econs in uni";
"u might be hating lab and stuff if u have taken it..." blah blah blah.

[btw, to my sc/nie frens out there, i'm not saying that your courses are more simple k! don't read too much into it. haha it's just me finding ways to complain.]

i went for this basic fishing course that my fisherman fren organized. hahaa kinda forgotten how to tie those knots already. my first time 'fighting' a fish was pretty fun! ehh but i dun really like it when u just wait and wait and wait and wait for the fish to bite the hook... (my team caught 2 in 4 hours) maybe it'll be nice to fish like for just 1 or 2 hours... can sit down and relax.

i also dun like the way the fish is hooked at the mouth (or anywhere else). pain!!! they used live prawns as bait too. and they were hooked at the head/tail. PAIN!!! (ok they were still alive lah. but...)

so, is fishing considered a cruel sport?

it's sunday. another busy week. so NOT looking forward to it. (other than my dance class, and recess week. hohohoho)

Thursday, September 06, 2007

Another update!

heh. It's Thursday! Yay! Feeling slightly more free tonight, hence the multiple posts! I was damn busy for the past few weeks!!! I'm glad that the post-orientation stuff are over now. phew.

But I gotta catch up on lots of readings and my project stuff. It's madness. Once again I would like to stress that, business students are not as free as their timetables appear to be!!! hahaha!

Though the workload is crazy, I'm still doing other stuff that's keeping me sane!

Played interblock floorball one night. We lost! But nevertheless still fun! Would have gone for volleyball too... and street soccer. Darn those projects which kept me busy... Bleah. O
h and I went to NIE gym after lessons today. Yay, feels good! Hope i'll go at least once every week! Thinking of hitting the NIE swimming pool too. =) And last night, I attended my first Cha-cha and Waltz lesson! Waltz is damn cool!!! HAHA Always wanted to learn whenever those people danced on TV. Initially damn paiseh, cannot get the steps right. But after learning those steps for 2 hrs, it's really fun =) Can dance already! hahahahaha But I'm still faaaaaaaar from the 'shake ass nicely' and "waltz gracefully" stage yet. heh!

Yay yay, looking forward to every wed! = )

more pics!

Post orientation stuff....

Hall Bash at Butterfactory

Finally... hall dnd... An Li!!! Spot anyone familiar notz!

Ya la, it's our fellow Brother!~ the China Man!!! Hahahaha

After dnd... we played card games... gotta do stupid actions while drinking this super duper !?@!#!~@ drink with very high alcohol percentage for forfeit. *cough cough*

Then we decided to play "blind man's buff " [?] in the hotel room! hahaha damn childish i know, but super fun!!!

so we ran, we climbed, we hid!

and attempted to lead the blind man out of the room. hohohoho

So after a night of drinks and games... we ended up like this! Monster Hunt part 2?

some foc pics

Photos that were looooooong overdue... Presenting, a glipse of Hall 3 FOC 2007

My first attempt at doing a proper banner from begining to the end. (those in TK and VJ not counted coz i wasn't involved in the designing!!!) Cute right! heeheehee

My freshies' banner. Damn artistic! Cannot compare coz we have an ADM student ok. (arts, design & media). They should have won best banner lo.

Visit to Sentosa Luge! First time during Seniors' Camp was super duper fun. 2nd time during FOC was... alright, not that shiok, but still nice =)

Me, my co-gl and my freshies! Dirty from War Games. This is the GL make-over session. I took damnnnn long to wash my mud-filled hair. But i think it's a damn great piece of art!

Hall 3 gls, aren't we muddily-cool!

hohoho stupid sychronise swimming thingy during our pool games.
C for Cyrax!

Monster hunt! Does someone look familiar?

busy busy!

Yikes. End of 2nd week only, but I've already formed project groups, handed in an assignment, handed in a resume did a resume and cover letter for 'checking'... a mock presentation... and there's this mock interview next week which is stressing (or rather... was. feeling a bit chirpy now) me out! "Ladies, no pants. U have to wear a skirt." ?!@?!?@! Will be interviewed in front of the class. Hate it! Dunno what to prepare! Coz I dunno why I'm in business. I dunno why I chose HRC. Dunno where I wanna work. I dunno what are my goals and where do I see myself in 5 years' time. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh~

It's not that I don't have goals. I just dunno yet. I can be competitive, but I don't aim to be at the top top top top. I don't aim for first class. I wanna play and have fun now. But I can't tell the interviewer that right. I can't believe that I'll be working in 2 years time. WOW.

So that was my first 2 weeks of school. A bit stressful, but this weekend allowed me to relax and recharge. Feels so good. Especially a good shopping spree on Fri. =) Went to this TAFF sale that Celine told me about... with Ber and Stacey (my classmate) It was good! I bought 6 tops/jeans/skirt/dresS for a total of $20! DRESS!!! wahahahaha I'm not even sure if i'll wear it but heck sia, 5 bucks! wahahahahaha

Besides school, there were also loads of post orientation stuff... so that's why I've neglected my blog for awhile!

After FOC, there was a NTU joint hall bash... wasn't as bad as last year. Remembered leaving just after the dinner. At least this year we stayed until the bands started playing. Then there was JCRC night - introed the freshies to the various JCRC portfolios. Darn. I dunno what to join. On one hand I wanted to be more involved in ODAC... But on the other hand, I somehow gotta be involved in hall if I wanna stay in hall next year... Stupid HAS system. Bah!~! Anyway I've decided not to join trek subcomm for ODAC liao. =(

So after JCRC night, it was the Angel and Mortal Revelation Night. Banners were painted, gifts were exchanged, and doors and corridors were decorated for the past week. Quite interesting. Did a bit of kpoing by reading the notes pasted on the freshies' doors. LOL

The next day was hall bash... Did a bit of dancing. a bit of drinking. a bit of eating. Clubs aren't that bad now with the No Smoking ban. 3 cheers for the govt!!! Speaking of the govt, I just watched PM Lee's National Day Rally. Surprisingly I din find it boring at all! Heh. 我长大了... finally appreciating such speeches.

Anyway, I sent my dearest laptop for servicing coz one of the keys dropped out!!! So I can't upload the pictures that I wanted to ... Neh mind! Still have a couple from Shir's 21st Bday! Darn... I wonder how should my 21st bday be like! Still long way to go, but no harm thinking bout it! heeheehee. Probably small and simple? Maybe.

So here are the wonderful soft-belles accompanied by Mr Yao Chen - Naima's beau.

We attempted Coach's fav camera pose- Look away first, then smile at the camera when the person taking says "3!"

So... poor Cheryl was a bit slow; and don't ya think some of us looked reeeeeally happy?

We got a bit bored and decided to pose for pictures. What monkeys. = ) Love them anyway.

-BACK TO SCHOOL-

Till we meet again folks!
I'm missing my laptop already.

FOC 2007

It's the end of FOC! Really glad that it's over, but also a bit sad... haha School's starting tml, not really looking forward to it! This 3 mths hol was really good coz I did many many things. Went to Tioman, Stong, preparing for FOC stuff... worked as a flier distributor, telemarketer, printer promotor, facilitator ... and being a GL for FOC!

FOC was pretty fun! But it seems like the seniors had more fun than the freshies, hohoho. I shall join FOC as a senior attached next year = ) GL is too shag manz... Nanny cum admin personnel cum waiter cum blah blah blah.... But it was a good experience. Shall upload pictures next time.

Din have enough rest for the past few days... so i've finally fallen sick. Lost my voice and coughing my lungs out. Slept until 4pm today. Shiiiiiiok!

Yay, moving back to 3C!

Saturday, July 28, 2007

dinner with the rabbits!

Had a nice get-together with my fellow rabbits, Coach Jo and Coach Zhang. It was nice because we haven't seen each other for quite some time, and Coach Zhang had so much things to talk about. LOL. There was one point she started talking about relationships and marriages... and we found out the type of guys she likes, and the type of guys Coach Jo doesn't! Wahahahahaha That was pretty funny = )

Oooh, 2 more days to FOC! Hope all goes well and everybody will have fun! And I hope I won't lose my voice. Shall stock up on Pipagao and avoid chocolates! Ehhh, looking back, I think I was quite chui as an OGL back in JC.. LOL So hopefully I'll be better now sia! wahahahahhahaha

Ohya, Brought the kids to the zoo last week. DAMN tiring!!! And I must admit that my general knowlege bout animals quite limited. So sometimes when the kids ask me 'Ms Horse, what is this animal?' ... ... Then I was like... "errrrrrr. I'm not sure too, let's find out!" Then we went around looking for the signboard. LOL. Oh ya, I was Ms Horse btw, haha. We were all given names after our own groups. Cute hor?

Saw Mrs Chen, my pri 2 form teacher. Heh, Naps were there for their excursion too. 1 class to 1 teacher. Madness. I will just die. I had 16 pupils only, but it was tough already sia! If only Naps employs facilitators to help out, I confirm go! Hor Ms Koh and Ms Chua??? LOL Think we'll blend in well with the kids also. Let's go to Children's World Playland! wahahahahhaha

puffy eyed

Yo people, just watched a really really nice show on crunchyroll. It's called "one litre of tears"
Pretty old show (released in 2005)... but for those who haven't watched, go watch!!! The show's really really really heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, heart-warming ... gulpz. Ok i can't express much with my limited vocab, so much watch it for yourself!

The one show (as in those drama kind) which I remember crying almost every episode is 孩有明天. But OLoT is in a completely different league... I started tearing from I think episode 2 or 3 onwards. Every episode, every few minutes. It's not that I like to cry, but I like shows which touch the heart. And this show, touches more than just the heart can! ~Love is all around~ hohoho

So pple, if u come across more of such shows, share with me!!! hehe I also like comedies!HanaKimi!

at last!

=) My Saturday with Harry was well-spent. Was pleasantly awoken by my mum this morning. Didn't expect the book to arrive so early! 7.30 am!!! HAHAHA. Shall support Singpost in future! Provided that someone comes out with another marvelous creation... Tried convincing myself to sleep a bit more. Ahhhh, but couldn't resist the temptation. It was time to unveil the secrets!!!

As I read the last page of book 7, it hit me, yet again, that there won't be a book 8, book 9 ... .... But I'm contented with the ending =) Shan't reveal more than I should, if not I think I might be cursed by Potty-fans.

I love that all the little puzzles are cleverly pieced back together one by one, answering the doubts I had with the past 6 books.
I love that I could feel a range of emotions as I accompanied Harry and his frens through his journey...

I love the way 'love' is shown in the book... Friendship. Kinship. Loyalty.
I love that the author has described every single event with so much details... It's as though I've already watched movie 7 already!

Oh ya, speaking of movies... Order of Phoenix wasn't too bad... But as always, the book version is always better than the movie version. If only the show was longer, had more action, and didn't change the original story... Ahhhh ok la, I under the time constraints and everything. So I shan't complain so much. But I dun really like how the dementors and Thestrals appeared in OfP. Not quite as I've imagined. Ugly! And Umbridge could be more toad-like looking also. wahahahaha But nevertheless, I still enjoy watching the movie series. Like the casts. Like the action. Like the spell casting. Like quidditch. Like the humour. Like the oh-so-delicious feeeeeeeeeeeast! Basically everything. heh

Now that the book series is completed, I shall wait patiently for movie 6 and 7!

Friday, July 20, 2007

It's been awhile!

Hey yo! It's been awhile! Had been busy... but can't seem to remember what I did exactly. hehehe

Have been going back to hall for programmer meetings... GL 'camp', seniors camp... card games at night... Not too bad! Busy having fun =) . Went to Sentosa for Amazing Race and I sat on the luge. Pretty fun~ HEE. If only we had more land, like that in NZ... Will be Shiooooooook sia~ Shall upload some pics when I'm feeling less lazY!

Went to the zoo today! hahahaha Brought back loads of memories. Used to frequent the zoo with my family a decade ago... Man, I love the Children's World back then! Also remember going there with my family and Ms Tan Ai Peng, just to complete the zoologist science card thingy. Plus a trip to the zoo kitchen during one of my primary school excursion trips... Bahhhh... I wanna be young again!

Went to the zoo today coz of some facilitator job thingy. Will be bringing some pri school kids next week, so today was the briefing. Wahhh seh. Saw this group of little kids... carrying camera phones, cameras... video cameras! I only had a pager back in primary school can! wahahahahahaha

K la, nth much to add. Shall update another day! Can't wait for Harry!!! Just another couple of hours.... lalalalalala. Snape shall be good. Harry will live! [i hope]

Friday, July 06, 2007

Good day!

So here are the paint ball pics!

Pretty interesting game. But damn tiring! Din know that squatting and running and taking cover will drain away sooooOOOoomuch energy . *pant pant pant* Overall the game was quite fun, if not for the guns which jammed pretty often. Bleah. Unlikely I'll play anytime soon, coz it's super ex!!! So hopefully they get better guns and lower the price! = ) OH I WANT TO PLAY LASER MANIA!!! Missed playing that. Wheeheehee

Salute to Sergeant Mojo! If not I'll shoot!

Don't we look intimidating??? Stare some more? Bang bang bang!!! muhahahhahaha~

Just playing ard with the camera. hehe. I think it's funny.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had a bad morning today! Super pissed over some stuff and I shouted at my dad. Bleah!!! Was soooooooo angry!!! But anyway I settled the stuff already and yay, all is well! Everything is fine now = ) Other than that, today was a good day!
Met Vic and Kendra (from my uni class) for badminton at tampines sports hall. Too bad Ber didn't join us. Playing badminton is fuuuuuun =) People, jio me k!!! I also wanna go swimming =) Let's all lead a healthy lifestyle, hohohohoho.
After that we went over to TM to watch transformers. Just found the action scene a bit too shaky and messy. haha I liked it! And I like Bubblebee! = ) Can't wait for Harry Potter... sneaks next wed! But I always think that the book version is better = ) YAY can't wait for book 7! Hope Snape is good. Somehow I feel that scene where he killed Dumbledore is more than it meets the eye!!! Hope Dumbledore will appear in some painting or whatever. Hope Voldemort will die and Harry will live. Hope Hermione will end up with Ron (but then again, i think Harry and Hermione make a better pair. Don't ya think so? Ron is getting uglier! At least in the movies...) Ok I shan't go on with this monologue. heeheehee
Anyway after that I went to meet Eddie for dinner. Walked so bloody far coz he wanted prawn mee!!! And when we finally reached the shop, to our dismay ... it was closed. He commented that I was a bimbo becoz I clipped my hair and complained that the weather was so hot. Lol. Stupid idiot. Then we went over to Settlers' Cafe to play.... Was nicely entertained with this game called St Petersburg or sth liddat... Interesting and pretty fun game! And I'm pleased that they didn't charge us GST at all. GOOD!!!
So yay, I had fun today = )

back! and itchy itchy scratchy scratchy again!!!

Just came back from my army fren's wedding! I think mosquitoes and bugs from any region, country, village.... love me. Unfortunately I don't and won't reciprocate their love... argh!!!
Oh btw, I was part of the 'sisters' .... you know those girls who refuse to open the door for the groom and his 'brothers' unless they do those forfeit thingys or give us hongbaos. (ok i think they are called bridesmaids and bestmen).. Eh the unfortunate thing is that I stayed behind in the room with the bride hahahaha I probably wouldn't be of much help outside anyway, since I have no experience and dun really know the groom. So a bit paiseh to ask for hongbaos. hahaha But stil it was pretty interesting and fun listening to the commotion happening outside the room. The 7 of us managed to receive about 30RM each. hohoho
The trip was pretty tiring... Didn't sleep much. Slept late and woke up early... But we went to play in some waterfall on the last day. And ate 1 big watermelon by the waterfall. hahaha

No knife. So all we did was smashed that round thingy onto some rock. And gobble gobble gobble ... hahaha And guess what we did with the 'skin' when we were done eating the flesh - Scrubbed them against our skin like some exfoliator. I wonder whether it has moisturizing properties...

Oh i realised I haven't blogged bout paintball!!! Some other day then. Dinner time! Hungry!

Sunday, June 24, 2007

wheeheehee ladies night!

Kboxing with girls is always so much fun! Love it. Kboxing with my powerpuff girls are damn hilarious and dramatic. Thursday's kbox session with my rabbits was absolutely fanstastic as well. hohohohoho
I love how we can just sing and go out of tune and still laugh about it... I love the way we do silly actions and not feel toooo paiseh. (Stacy and Jess.... do along with us next time lah! hehehehehehhee) I love the fact that we enjoyed singing oldies and stupid songs like "Calcutta". I love the way everybody sang along to songs by boybands and shouting along with SpiceGirls' "Spice Up Your Life" ... and also love bitching about Britney as we sang her songs! itchy itchy scratchy scratchy

~wheee heee!!! back back! Let the pictures speak for themselves! = )

Took a train from JB to this place called Dabong in Kelantan, Msia.
11-12 hours ride sia! At least we had beds to sleep on. Or rather... to lie on.
It was a bit too noisy and shaky to have a good sleep!

And some idiots actually smoke in the carriage. IDIOTS.
So after we reached Dabong.. we had breakfast. And then went caving with the guides. Dun have pictures to share with ya coz it was too dark to take photos. Were told not to use our flash incase we disturb the bats or watever. haha

After caving, we had lunch... and then BAH! We set off for our hike to the base camp. GOSH. One of my most tiring hike ever. 2 hours UPHILL, carrying our super heavy trekking bag which was filled with water, mess tins, food, clothes, blah blah blah. It's like climbing stairs (what's steeper than stairs huh....) for 2 hours, with minimal rest.

Occasionally we would cross rivers and climb over stones etc. Passed a waterfall on the way, so we happily took photos =)

Yeahhh. Finally reached the base camp. We were all shagged! But gotta pitch our tents still, if not gotta sleep in the open...
One of the highlights of the trip.

Had a waterfall just beside our base camp. And we can actually slide down!!! Was pretty steep! Can't really see from this picture, but it was scary!!! And kinda hurt my butt a bit. But nevertheless still super fun. Should show ya all the video if got chance next time. Heh!

After playing in the waterfall, we had to prepare dinner. People brought up chicken (which had long thawed already, having endured the train ride, the hike up...), can food blah blah blah.
Kinda had a mini feast. hahaha

For dinner, we had pasta with hotdogs, mushrooms and campbell sauce. Had chicken soup, pineapple rice. We even had desserts. Placed our cans of longans and nata de coco in the waterfall so that we would have nice cold desserts.

For breakfast, we had hotdogs, pancakes, nice warm milo, (super-squashed) bread with tuna...

No wonder the bags weighed a ton.

After breakfast, off we go in search for more waterfalls to play.
Climbed up slopes, jumped over rocks... Lose my footing and I'll be swept down the river, or just roll downhill and then 'kong kah kiao'. LOL. What an adventure!

This waterfall doesn't really look magestic or gigantic from here, but the pressure was so powerful!!! If we moved towards the center, we kinda need lots of energy to stand straight up! Good way to massage our aching bodies.

So after playing in the waterfalls in the morning and lunch... we had to descend down the mountain. BLEAH. Horrible. Ground was slippery. Wasn't wearing proper shoes/sandals. Practically every few steps I almost slipped, until i found a strong thick branch to use for support. hohoho. Glad I made it back safe and sound, no broken bones or whatever. Just came back with super aching legs, a sore butt and itchy bites... LOL

So in all, I enjoyed Stong! The waterfalls and the magnificent scenery made the long journey and tiring trek worth it. = ) So who likes such nature adventures and are interested to go to such places, Go!! And remember to jio me k!!!

Now I feel that Bukit Timah is peanuts. LOL. Time to go for some exercise manz! Aiya, why Singapore dun have such thing... boring! If not I dun mind trekking 2 hours uphill every ... erm.. 2 weeks? LOL
