~What a 2006~

One more day to the end of 2006 and to the start of a fresh 2007! Kinda excited and looking forward to it, but I’m definitely going to miss 2006. This year was an exceptionally memorable year, had loads of fun and I experienced loads of interesting stuff.

I’ve decided to post up a couple of pictures I have taken this year, which basically summarized how I spent my 2006.

So after the As, I’ve decided to take up the Teacher Assistant post in my primary school. Met my ex-teachers, met 2 crazy but fun ladies, and many cute boys and girls. = ). Teaching is definitely not as easy as it looks.

Left after 3 months coz I was called up for Malaysian army, which I dreaded… My powerpuff ladies and little kids gave me a very sweet and nice birthday celebration-cum- farewell. Awwww
Some of the more memorable incidents were the surprise bday celebration-cum-farewell; the accidental damage I had caused to the laminating machine, resulting in us conducting an 'open surgery' to help save the 'patient'. Success! *phew* ; and also this horrible emergency exercise that the school had conducted... sealed every single opening with garbage bags. I remember perspiring like a running tap.

Army was… bad. Not because it was tough, but simply because I don’t speak and don’t understand Malay. Imagine the boredom when everybody around you is speaking in a language you don’t understand. Luckily I made Chinese friends… But the experience was interesting in a way, had fun sometimes, haha. Perhaps if I understoodMalay I would have enjoyed myself much much more, but boy, I’m so glad it’s over.

Highlights of army were … the Kayak competition, the obstacle course thingy… erh. Basically that’s it. LOL. Ok, and of course my dearest friends who took care of me and made me feel welcome in that foreign (ironic eh??) land. 3 months later, I put on weight…Ate too much and exercised too little in army. Ironic again ya? But it felt good to be back. No more sleeping with houseflies, no more disgusting toilets etc.

And then university life begins! Sports Camp was super duper fantastic. Banana boating. Scuba diving. Jet skiing. Cable skiing. Night cycling. Trekking. *Grand finale*.Games and more games. Loads and loads of cheering. Buckets full of perspiration. Tears… And a serious deprivation of sleep (say… maximum 3 hours of sleep a day for 6 nights?) but I totally had fun. Seriously, best camp I’ve attended ever! Too bad I could be a programmer for next year’s camp. = \

A mini regret for this year is that I didn’t attend the whole of hall orientation camp. But I’m still glad at least I went for 1 ½ days lah. Haha.

I remember spending a bomb the moment I became an NTU student. Was forking money every other day. Part of the money spent was to pay for the ball dinners and costumes. But I think it was well spent lah. A very different experience as compared to prom night.

School was not too bad, though I was kept really busy with all sorts of projects and presentations. I even had a taste of interview the NKF chairman.

I also became mildly active in school activities. Played inter-block and playing inter-hall games now….Had another shot of night cycling, this time from NTU to East Coast…Decided to become a programmer for the hall orientation camp 2007.

I’ve gotten use to hall life. Sleeping late, bathing late, studying late into the night, eating irregular meals…I feel more haggard now. Haha . Eye-bags and all…

Ok and yay, my first sem results ain't too bad. Quite satisfied.

Hope I'll have another exciting 2007!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Eeyur, it has been raining and raining and raining... = ( Luckily I'm back in Singapore. Forgot if i told you all about this piece of gross fact...
In my ... 'army days', whenever it rained heavily, the toilets would be flooded. UrgH. So imagine what you see floating in the ... whatever you call that. Urgh!!! And all the digusting flying bugs would surround the lights at night and end up dead everywhere by morning - in the sink/floor/common 'bath tub'. And btw, we have to clean the toilets ourselves k... Hated it. I also remember running downhill to collect the laundry whenever we see dark clouds approaching. Handwashing your own clothes is so so tedious, so must make sure the rain doesn't take away your hardwork!

Hehehe... the rain brings back memories. I love training in the rain w/o lightning of course. = ) Wet, cold, dirty and muddy but so damn fun. Coach used to make us slide whenever it rained during our TK days... = ) Wheeeeheeee

Suddenly thought of my lower sec geography textbook title.... The Ailing Earth? *shakes head* Mother Earth is sick!!! NTU should really consider not using styrofoam utensils leh. So environmentally unfriendly!!!

Anyway i forgot to mention, Bangkok was not too bad! Didn't buy a lot at first, but I cheong-ed with Liyun on the last day at Platinum, so my shou huo not too bad = ) But I think in future no need to go all the way to Bangkok to shop liao. I seriously think we can find similar stuff here in Singapore now. Price wise also quite similar, maybe just a bit more ex. But at least we save on the air ticket and accomodation right? hehe

Reflections

= I always feel damn bad after raising my voice to my family members. Ergh. I wonder why the patience I have towards my friends doesn't occur in greater ... 'doses' when I speak with them. Gotta improve your attitude girl! aRgh! Yeah I will. = )

Be back on 13th... Bangkok! Excited yet... ... Hope it'll be a safe and fun trip. Not forgeting... fruitful! = )

Exams no more!

Wheee~ Exams are over. Can't believe that my first semester in NTU is over. heeheee. Exciting.

Have been relaxing.. after my last paper (mon) I went out for lunch with my classmates. Then watch the movie Step Up (pretty nice dance moves I must say.), then dinnner... and finally KTV... Just imagine how much I spent that day... BUT well spent lah, I deserve a break after squeezing my brain dry. Just hope that my results would be satisfactory too. Hope.

And on Tues, i spent the whole day watching movies and tv shows. heehee.

Wed morning, cycling with Piggy and Jess in East Coast... and later continue watching shows for the rest of the day.

Thursday... KBOX from 1pm to 7pm with my dearest softballers! shiok. hehehe I'm glad my voicebox didn't die on me.

Friday.. went back to hall to do a bit of spring cleaning = ) Have been wanting to do that since exams.. weird eh? But I'm proud to say that our room is relatively clean, so it pretty much felt the same before/after cleaning. LOL

Sat.. today. OMG. I'm dead tired. Had this event called PAst & Present, where the ex-seniors were invited to play friendly matches with us. Basketball is sai lor. I can't play that man... It 's sooooooooooOoooOooooo tiring! *pant pant pant pant* Kena trashed like... @#$!@#. I shan't reveal the score, just too embarassing. LOL. Then played softball, wasn't too bad. Quite fun. I miss my team!

Okie, going to pick my bro up from Expo. I'm quite willing to drive around these days... for practice mah! hehe. I still can't seem to have good control over my speed. My dad always complain i'm either too fast or too slow. But hey, I still insist that being slow is better than being fast and reckless... I don't want to knock anything or anybody down k! LOL. And i seriously need more work in remembering the roads.... hmmmmm

I think I have short term memory... Just today, I came back home w/o closing the door. The other day, I parked the car without removing the car key.... so ~~~huh~~~ right? lol. Jo ah!

A Beautiful Mind

~ahhhh
Just caught the movie on Ch 5 in the hall lounge (decided to abandon stats for it lo hehe) and I'm feeling... *i-dunno-how-to describe*

The human brain is a wonderful piece of... ... art? It's just amazing that there are some people who can be THAT brilliant. hmmmm... but yet sometimes it can get a little scary. Schizophrenia. That's the ultimate ... Can't really imagine the lives of those people suffering from this illness. Maybe if I had watched this show earlier I would have appreciated the Nash Equilibrium that I learnt earlier this year. And as usual, it's a good show (though the language was quite cheem for me lol) coz it managed to activate my water tap towards the end of the show. And it actually prompted me to flip my Econs book to look for John Nash as soon as I got back to the room. ~ahhhh

I love tv! I can just sit infront of the tv if there are nice shows. = )

oh man, it's one!!! back to stats before i retire for the night..

heeheeeheee. man i feel happy. exams haven't finish lah, but on wells, one more to go! this sem flew past just like that. FLEW !!! actually this year passed by relatively quickly too, but i shall comment on the last day of 2006 lah. hehehe like more meaning like that. reflections mah!

anyway i'm amused with a statement i made on msn just now.

amnesia: loss of the ability to remember
insomnia: inability to sleep over a period of time

i knew that. i really do. But...

yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
so wat do u intend to do tonight, relax or statS hehe
XinHAO says:
i'll start on stats la... haven't started...
XinHAO says:
plus i probably can't sleep either
yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
oh why not?
yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
amnesia?
XinHAO says:
amnesia...?? insomnia...

yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
LOL wahahaha
yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
yeah yeah insomnia
yay!!! one more one more one more... lalalala says:
amnesia is bad. wahahaha
XinHAO says:
anah... choi! cannot have amnesia now... will die..

Oh man, so malu.

Anyway urban was quite shitty today. memory stuff but yet not easy coz ... there's soooooo much to memorise. why didn't i S/U huh! eeyER. regret taking urban planning lah! but i'm just super happy that it's over. marketing crapped all the way and hopefully get a decent b lah. so happy that i 've been doing everything but touch books since i got back to my room.

called Lala to find out his results, oh yay he's happy he did well! = ) called xiaowen to share with her the news (and lala bluffed that he failed lor. that he got only 25, and i didn't think he was bluffing. hmph)

after talking to xw i went online and have been typing non-stop. hehehehe. ok i shall relax a bit tonight, and switch to full gear for stats maybe later tonight, or tml.. i'm going to mug stats all the way to pull up my GPA!!! i will i will i will! that's why i'm staying in hall this weekend. go JO!

anyway i shall most likely be taking malay next sem. bagus? heehee. how exciting. can't wait for post-exams plan! and i dunno why, i have the urge to clean the room. HOHOHO.

Fancy a taste of Krabi? = )

!!! First paper tml, but I'm already having post-exams plans. Or rather, postpostpost... future holiday plans! Was talking to a classmate and he told me bout his Krabi trip. I SOOooOOOooo wanna go man. I've always wanted to go to a 'beachy' place... BER! Piggy Bong...(and the other softballers of course. the more the merrier. heeheehee.) Wanna go on a trip together, say next year May/June? hehehehehe. I miss all the fun we had together in China and Bangkok... If yes, then we should do some research and start saving lo!!! k k k!The juniors would be rotting (or working...) and we would be having our hols... SO let's go lah!!

Anyway pple, I shall let u guys have a taste of my driving when I'm more confident. hahaha My dad is still supervising me. And I still have to master parking-w/o-poles skill. Piggy was my first passenger (with my Dad in the passenger seat of course). ho ho ho. Don't you feel older when it's u taking the wheels... Kinda interesting comparing the present with the past... and then think bout the future..

ok. STUDY!!!

UBI no more!

whee! No need to go down to Ubi Ave already! Kinda getting sick of going to the driving centre... but hmmm. Took my test today. Luckily the road conditions were alright = )

hmmm... I realised I would miss 2 instructors. LOL. Coz they are really nice and offer good tips. And they recognise me on days I don't have lessons with them. I'm so glad my instructors were all nice. But I had a horribly impatient, unfriendly, irritating tester today. My 14 demerit points came from "speed too slow" <-- not really what... , "delay in moving off" .... (i don't recall.. ) and taking "too long in checking blind spot/mirror" ... (eh. ya perhaps checked too many times. but at least i didn't knock down any motorists...)

hmmm ok maybe i was too cautious. LOL. But I'm glad I passed = )

Drove to school today!

Didn't do much mugging over the weekend... coz i was HOOKED onto prison break. What a nice and exciting show. Can't wait for season 2! I've concluded... Prison Break is #1. Followed by ... Desperate Housewives = ) ... 3rd ... Grey's Anatomy... and then Lost. TV is addictive. Love it!

STUDY!

The Next Lap

hee!!! I've finally completed my 10th and final presentation of the semester! What a ... exciting and perhaps a little fulfilling sem. But i think nerves got to me this time round, was nervous like... ... =\ However I felt that we handled the questions and answer session relatively well. I probably will not take Marketing in 2nd year. i think.

Boey is such a... diplomatic man. He goes one big round praising us but ends up giving a B grade for my group's case study presentation. HAHA. It's a little disappointing coz my class is very competitive, in a good way. So let's hope this marketing project would score better = ) I love shoes!

My driving test is drawing nearer by the day... scared! If I pass, some of you will probably hear from me on that day... If I fail... oh wells, i think you guys will also know lah. BUT I WILL PASS, right? I HOPE!

But anyway I had a fun afternoon. Began taking photos with the class, as if it's like some post-exams celebrations. hehe
posing for pictures is a good way to forget all your troubles. = )

Yay. I'm so relieved it's over. All the other quizes over too, left one more. So means it's time to focus on the books!

clAy!

HEE HEE. Jo is happy! Why???
Coz she pampered herself and bought Clay's new CD... ok it came out quite some time ago but oh wells... Haven't heard enough to comment on the CD ... but I love his voice and I love the old songs ... which means I will probably like it anyway. hehehehe
I remembered listening to his CD during exams in JC to de-stress. This would come in handy to keep me occupied for the next few weeks =)
And I'm going bangkok in Dec with my 04S24 ! Excited. Can't wait for exams to be over. Go girl. And to those taking their exams too, jia you everybody!!
My mum just came back from Taiwan and she bought LOTs of snacks back. And she's temporarily not working so she has been cooking good food these few days. I had nice yummy pork chop and all the yummy side dishes that came with it. MAN, I FEEL FAT. But nvm, food makes me happy anyway, so I shan't complain. Lalala
I shall switch into mugger mode soon.

random

Thursday

Why do people blog?

Why do I blog?

Maybe to kill time, or perhaps to use it as a channel to vent my frustration or share my joy with people…

Are they interested to read what I type?

Dunno? Sometimes I blog about very mundane or uninteresting stuff. But I guess they can always choose how much they want to read right, or even choose whether to visit your blog or not. But it’s always nice to see tags of encouragement or to know that you are being missed by friends. *hint*- pls tag! Hehehe

Why am I typing all this?

I don’t know! I’m having very ‘random’ thoughts now. Had a very hectic day today, and yesterday. Had to prepare for this horrible stats case presentation which was due today. And to tell u frankly, after spending HOURS on the report and sleeping at 3plus… the report still didn’t make sense. And to make matters worse, I had another presentation to think about- work-related stress and its management. I think I need to hear instead of present.

Friday
Oh yay!!! One more presentation to go. One more report. Go go go!!!

I went to bed early last night! =) 10.30 i stopped my work liao. heeheehee
Sleep and food always make me feel better. Okie time to start on work. See Ya!

countdown!

Last week went by like... *poof*
My 2 presentations were not too bad. Except for some slight techinical glitches. And i'm so glad that I was smart enough to bring an extra pair of flats to tutorial. My feet would have died of suffocation if i wore heels the whole day. 2 down! YAY!

Ooops. work is piling up!
Stats presentation discussion, OB case report discussion
Stats presentation. OB case report discussion
Stats Quiz, Econs Quiz, Urban Planning Quiz

3 more presentations and 3 more quizes to go! go Jo!

gulpz. i just counted. i 've 15 days to do revision for my 5 modules after my mkting presentation ends. woohoo!!~ =
but don't worry guys, i'll be fine! Hahaha see ya all in soon!

I live in Singapura, it's not perfect living but at least it's interesting...

hey hey! The title of this entry is actually related to this video from youtube. Go check it out, I was entertained. Hmmm. And I do think that my uni days are rather interesting, at least for now =)

Sang Nila Utama, saw a lion, Alamak
Named the village Singapura then run very far.... lalalala
Another week has passed. Which means exams are getting nearer. Ooops. =\ In the past we knew what to revise... and there were things like TYS to help with the revision. Hmmm... now.... everything is ~huh??? No TYS, dunno how to go about revision. errr.. or rather, we are still trying to keep up with lecture. hmmm
Nothing interesting this week. Just meetings and meetings for project discussions. It's going to be over. GO GO GO!
Oh yeah, just remembered watching "Click" on Thursday night in this open space in school. Sat (on the floor) until my back ached a little. But the movie was nice. Whoever knows me knows that I cry very easily lah. I cried almost every episode of Hai You Ming Tian ( A Child's Hope? ). I cried while watching almost every single touching show. But I love these kinda shows anyway. Touching ones. Romantic ones. Comedy. And basically those with kids in them. = ) hmmm. But I think in recent years I've become more sensitive to these shows. I don't remember crying that easily while watching shows. Interesting observation... I even almost teared while reading Harry and the Half-blood Prince. I NEVER had that feeling while reading a book before. (ok, maybe coz I hardly read anyway. LOL) Jo ah...
Oh, and I did a good deed on Fri. Went with Xiao Wen to donate blood. So this makes it the 3rd time... not a lot since I only donate once a year when the school has such donation drive. But oh well, I feel good anyway. Anyway, I donated one fUll bag of blood this time, coz not enough manpower, and they forgot about me. hahaha. The nurse was like "Oops! Don't squeeze already!" The queue was really long... took almost 1 1/2 hours to complete the whole procedure. But the queue was a good sign coz it's for a good cause = ) But I think the poor nurse who attended to me was a little stressed after poking the needle into my arm but couldn't insert into the vein. She moved the needle in and out, in and out but no blood flowed out. hahaha Then she said "Your vein very stubborn." LOL. I was amused. But anyway thank goodness I couldn't feel any pain (although I could see the moving needle underneath the surface of my skin). Hee.
I'm in love with Shania Twain's From This Moment On. It's so sweet. Aww~ It shall be my wedding song!!! LOL hmm. I'm not thinking of marriage any time soon by the way, it's just a thought. heehee And Clay Aiken's album is out! Should I get it??? I think I would. lalalalalala. Darn. I have been spending money. A LOT. =\

weekend!

Oh YA! Massage! hahaha.

During the recess week, i went for some massage in TAKA, thanks to Ber! = ) We were there only because we had a voucher. hehehe It was not bad, but I wouldn't pay $100 for a 1/2 hour massage, coz I would go to Thailand to have a 2 hour massage for less than $20 =) It was a good experience though. Ber and I were treated like... Queens. HeeHee. But I had to lie down topless (with my back facing the masseuse of course) which I then realised that some skills were needed in order not to reveal anything. HAHA

Anyway I hope I didn't stink. I went for some railway trekking with the Odac team in the morning. Pretty interesting. hmmmm... Pictures!

"where's the railway track?" - oh well. apparently it has been shut down for so long that the track is now... surrounded by a forest.

yay. at last we see light. i sustained a couple of cuts and scratches while combing through the forest. oh well, trekking is like that lah. heh
Hmmm. is it just the lighting, or is it that my feet is much fairer than my legs?
And dunno if you all noticed. I had puffy eyes! Coz i cried like... running tap while watching "I am Sam" the previous night. SOBZ.

Anyway, another week has passed. So fast! Which actually I don't really mind. Went for basketball trials for fun. Actually I intended to try out volleyball instead.. But nobody to accompany me. =\ oh wells. I hope they hold another one again. I will go this time! hehe It's not that I don't like bball, but rather I am more interested in vball. And I realised that, wahhhhh, actually bball is not easy! I had tis senior explaning those strategies and formations and I was like... "oooh." "wAH!" "huh?" hehehe

Oh ya, I also just remembered meeting up with a couple of juniors and fellow softballers for dinner at East Coast Lagoon! = )

Year 2s, good luck for As = )

And to my fellow SMU rabbits, hope you guys are having fun in school!
Come visit me and piggy lah! Hehehe

E-learning this week so I didn't have any lectures. Which is better actually. Coz I can fastfoward/ repeat my online lectures anytime I want. They should have more of this actually.

And because of this, my friday was free, and I went KBox with my tutorial classmates. We had fun =) I had found out that my class have two amazing male singers. Awwwww~

part 2

oops. can't remember wat i was supposed to blog about.

anyway it's the end of my 1 week break. slacked quite a bit. been out almost every single day. and the worrying thing is that i don't exactly feel VERY guilty bout it. OOPS. bad. ok but the good thing is... i think the guilt sank in, and i've decided to do a bit of work for marketing. have been reading the textbook for the past 2 days and at last i feel that i've understood a bit more bout the subject. seriously, i think other than knowing the idea of 4Ps and STP, all that have been mentioned in lectures and tutorials did not go into my head. at all. the text didn't even sound familiar. GEE. i think it's the same for OB. this is worrying. haha. aikes!

i would say that i can probably do better in subjects which can be ... mugged. at least i can follow stats. and econs lecture. (tutorial is a different story though. the questions are weird. absolutely... the ~huh~ type of questions) i miss primary school. haha. i do!!! i miss everything my dearest class of 5/3, 6/3 , my wonderful teachers like mrs wong and mrs chen, the old ngee ann in marine terrace and in tanjong katong, the teachers' day and children's day celebrations, the senior prefect days, the 'sirens', PE lessons, playing 5 stones and connect4, and also the wink murderer, the stupid quarrels, writing loads of silly stuff in autograph books ... ... ... ... blah blah blah. and i could watch lots of tv and still complete my homework in those days. and i don't think stress really existed then. HEE.

what an irony. when i was young i wanted to grow up quickly. now that i'm almost considered an adult, i wish i could go back to the old days. but oh well, i'm looking forward to ... a lot of things. i think my life is becoming rather interesting and exciting. haha this year especially. i already forsee a long long entry for my 2006 reflections at the end of the year.

anyway happy 21st birthday rudith~ (the harry potter look-alike?)

can't really see from here, but we were supposedly dressed in various occupations. we have a scientist in her lab coat, a police man, a airforce clerk, models... ... i'm a student representing VJ! hahaha wanted to turn up in my tkgs uniform but when i tried it on, i think it looked weird. LOL

okie. just send fran off. all the best girl! hope u have fun in UK! (another one gone). =\

Wednesday, September 27, 2006

part 1

yawn. i had a long day. went to toa payoh early in the morning for my interview with NKF. it was... hahaha stupid lah. it strangely reminded me of PW back in VJ. except that this time the girls put make up and wore heels, and the guys looked really smart with their ties. the interview was casual, phew, not very stressful. except that another classmate and i had to sit in a room with mr gerard ee. but he's a nice man. i like him! = )

we had lunch at suntec kenny rogers... the journey was quite fun coz 3 girls and 1 guy had to squeeeeeeeeeeeze at the back of henry's small car, and in the end, poor arif had pins and needles. dunno whether it's just today or what, but kenny rogers plays nice old romantic love songs during lunch hour. *grinz*

after lunch i took a train down to harbourfront. for what? to service my precious digital ixus AGAIN!!! in total it has been serviced THREE times. 1st was my bro's fault. 2nd was mine (which i paid out of my own pocket). this time...... not exactly my fault. passed my cam to a fren to help me take a pic ... and whooops. dropped onto the floor. i tot it would ok coz there wasn't any visible damage. and i expected the service to cost less than the $80 i paid the last time. lo and behold. walalalalalala. it's a freaking (estimated) HUNDRED AND EIGHTY BUCKs! wat the hell. argh. wroof. meow. wahhhhhhhhh! i feel as if i'm throwing money down the drain. and once again i've decided to pay for it myself (without letting my dad know the cost). and i've hesitated and hesitated, and hesitated. finally typed a 5msg long sms to my that fren to ask if she could help chip in a bit. GEE. i feel damn bad but... i guess ... it's the only way i can think of to help offset the cost a bit. i hate the feeling of being a loanshark man. but if she offers to chip in like $50 i would be happy man. hahaha *prays*

anyway by that time my legs were aching like @#!@!!@# and i was desperately finding a pair of nice comfy flats. doesn't it sucks when the pair u eyed always doesn't seem to have your size or the colour u wanted? it happens to me 4 out of 5 times. = \ but finally i managed to get a decent pair in suntec (was going to meet my fellow elmos). couldn't afford to be too choosy coz my legs were bout to give way

darn, i need the bed. shall continue tml. gdnite! zZzzZzzZZzzzZz

Saturday, September 23, 2006

= )

i had a slack week! heehee. but once recess week is over the horror would begin. jia you jia you jia you!

hmmmm.. i actually attended a "how to sleep better" talk! haha attended it because i usually take quite long to sleep =\ would toss and turn for at least 1/2 hour before i actually zZzzZzzZ. irritating. hmph! i think the workshop was quite good. hopefully it works. hehe

went for some NKF health screening too. yay i'm fit =) and there was this very cool and interesting machine which can measure the amount of fat in your body just by holding it in your arms. science is amazing.

went for fitness assessment on thursday. ain't i ON? lol) i'm still fit, but not as fit as last time. my 2.4 timing slowed down liao. and i was kinda shaking when i've done like only 10 incline pull-ups? gee. AND... i actually ached from head to toe the next morning. man, i feel old. i'm motivated to go for regular jogs and hit the gym. Eestee, if u are reading this, u know what to do right! hahaha i'm waiting! *grinz*

played mahjong twice in the week too. hahaha. life is good when there's no presentations or quiz to prepare.

and i went for night cycling again! this time with a couple of my tutorial classmates. cycled from ntu to east coast. "Finisher of 38.1617 km" once again! haha at first we started off so slowly that i tot this to myself ... "darn, i shouldn't have joined". we took 2 1/2 hours for the first leg! we would have covered twice the distance if we cycled at the pace we did in Sports Camp. Gee! but luckily they cycled at a much faster pace after that. stopped at a couple of places for food. reached east coast at 7 am and yay, just nice for breakfast at Macs. as i was walking to the toilet, a 20-cent coin dropped from nowhere and landed in between my toes. nobody claimed it (maybe becoz it landed on my feet?) and i toldmy fren it could be a lucky day for me. which... might be! coz i carelessly left sth behind and when i went back to find it 15 minutes later, it was still there. so ... yay!

okie, i have a busy week next week. looking forward to it though.
sentosa. nkf interview. karaoke. driving. massage!!! railway trekking. my classmate's 21st birthday celebration ... ... ... !

shall update again! = )

Pics pics pics!!!

Sports Ball 2006

heh this pic is cute isn't it. my ball partner n i are wearing some greek costume. the other girl is supposed to be an egyptian. and well, apparently he's enjoying the company of a greek lady and an egyptian lady

Ain't these two girls sexy. i would never have the guts to wear that. oh well, unless i somehow managed to get a nice, flat, toned tummy. which ... ...won't be possible so soon. lol

hmmm? isn't that ms koh?

Elmo ladies in all sorts of costumes. darn, i don't have the whole group pic with the guys. we all look really cute.

this is one of the guy from elmo, acting cool with his cigarette and shades.

Hall Ball 2006

some of the pictures taken during Hall 3 ball.
guess the theme? hehehe i think the guys are vampire slayers while the girls are vampire. lol

haha cheryl looks like she's enjoying getting bitten, doesn't she?

the vampire teeth
firstly, it made us talk funnily. we can't talk properly.
2ndly, it made us looked as if we had buck-tooth.
3rdly, the teeth tasted weird and made us drool.

haha but it was fun.

strEsss bank

omg. i had a pretty horrible week. the stress is like ... ~woahh!~
but today is a nice day coz it's friday!

on Monday, i spent a horrible time (close to 10 hours) preparing for 2 horriblly tough case studies of my Management Science module.
on Tuesday, my group still haven't come up with a solution for one case study. so we rush and rush and rush ... managed to get everthing done just before tutorial started
On Wednesday. finished class at 8.30pm. had to attend some hall subcomm activity. ended at bout 10+. had to resume my econs revision...
On Thursday, the Econs quiz was manageable, thankfully

ok yay. another week passed =) fast man!
number of presentations i have done so far:
marketing: 1 article analysis, 1 non-assessed case study
OB: 1 non-assessed case study
stats: 2 horrible case studies

number of presentations i have left:
marketing: project, and 1 assessed case study
OB: project, and 1 assessed case presentation
1 stats case study

5 done, 5 more to go!!!

i still have some more to blog about, but think i'll continue later lah. shall watch my online stats lecture. very high tech leh! hehe

random thoughts

i think uni life is stressful! JC was stressful when it was near test, prelims and As. but now i get stressed every other day just to get loads of things done... simple things like completing tutorials and reading the textbooks to catch up with lectures (which unfortunately are still not done coz reading those texts is simply a chore). my meals are irregular. i bathe only like after 10 pm. i think i'm dropping loads of hair. (i only realise the extent of hairloss after discovering strands of hair everywhere in the room. i don't want to go yunnan!) hmmm there's occasional nice stuff happening too. ran for road relay on thurs. a short 400m+ relay which involved a tiring "slope-y" journey. and the hall seniors treated the freshies to steamboat that night. ate at like 10.30 pm can! fat fat fat.

back to my complains.
the irritating thing about business is that there are presentations after presentations to do. and i have some group project which we have to interview some company. and the tutor gives us less than 2 weeks to select the topic (which after 5 weeks of lecture, i think i only have SOME idea of what's going on), find the company, find the interviewees, and decide on the interview date. it's a bit like a PW nightmare, giving oral presentations and conducting interviews... just that PW gives us a lot more time. but PW sux (though i had fun with my "yeah baby yeah" members). i'm hoping this OB project will be interesting. hope hope hope.
but then again, i chose this course. over food tech. so i shan't complain so much coz i made my own choice. right? right.

certain tutorial sessions are very interactive. there's marketing and OB presentations almost everyweek and we ask questions and make comments unless we want to score low points for class participation. the tutor is not there to teach, he facilates. very different learning environment i must say. which brings to my point. there's no right or wrong answers to our tutorial questions! the tutor just goes through briefly and it's quite scary actually coz i don't know what i know and what i don't know, and how to go about answering those questions. i guess i'll know when i'm doing the exam papers in Nov!

ok sth outside sch.

met up with Stan, Chong and my powerpuff ladies. haha dinner at Parkway's Fish n Co. it was nice seeing them again = ) the moment the ladies unite, we make 0ur presence known with our excited, chatty selves. selfs. hmmm. sounds and looks weird. ok but u get my point don't you?
anyway good luck to Stan for his shoulder operation. hope all goes well! speedy recovery yeah!
and also all the best to Chong. be good in London! and come back safely!

it's nice to be able to get back in contact with 3 of my old pri school friends. I don't really remember being in touch with Stan in upper primary. and he went to Aust after sec 1 i think. and don't know how come we suddenly started contacting each other. Chong... hmmm didn't contact each other much in secondary school. spoke a bit during first 3 months when he was in Vj. and ok, again didn't really keep in touch for the next 1 1/2 years. Xiao Wen, hahaha. don't recall speaking to her at all throughout my 6 yrs in NAPS.

*poOoOoof*

All 3 of us are reunited, through our dear old NaPs! (the boys 'coach' the soccer team) heeheehee. and of course there's Anli too. it's amazing how xw, anli and I can click so well even though we know each other for a short period of time only. and whenever there's 3 of us together, it sounds like a marketplace...sth which we are terribly sorry to the HODS...heehee again, we met in NAPS. see! i love my primary school and love all the precious nice memories it have given me.

Anyway, so many people are going away! (or have gone already) =\ means less pple present to attend gatherings. gracie. marge. jing. dicky. and soon chong and yujun. and in 3 years' time, piggy! = (

.what a long entry.

hmmm. life?

i'm sure u guys have heard, the crocodile man died! so sad! i don't watch his documentries but... oh well. life is so unexpected. i could be in some island snorkling/diving, and den *poof! stung by a stingray and ... bye-bye!!! gee. isn't life so precious? treasure!

ok. nvm. shall talk bout something less depressing. sports ball was nice! spend loads of time taking photos, even with strangers. hehe. shall post a couple of pics up some other time! bad news though, my fren dropped my camera. luckily no cracks but i think it suffered a mild concussion. =\ if it doesn't recover i will have to make a trip down to harbour front. again.
didn't sleep at all the whole night! haha i feel a sense of achievement! hahahaha

spend the night playing games and drinking some interesting mix of vodka and sprite/redbull. talked quite a bit to my elmos and .... hmmm discover really interesting guy-stuff. conversation was really open. haha. and hmmm there was dirty stuff going on in the room lah. was being entertained by the guys. hahahhaha ok not exactly dirty but kinda gross, a bit censored.. but really, very entertaining. hehe. i had fun. watching.

anyway ber came to visit last thurs to celebrate shareena's birthday! heehee and we met up with Germ on Fri for lunch. it was nice having the 2 of them around and doing simple things like talking for hours just makes me happy...it feels like the old tk days. i miss tk! if only the others were here too. oh well, maybe... absence makes the heart grow fonder? haha right ber?

shall update again over the weekend. hopefully i'll be able to upload the pics too! excited to share with you all =)

*gasp*

long time no see. have been really busy! haven't been blog surfing-cum-tagging too.. =\ lessons just ended so i tot i should take some time to update my blog...

hmmm... was involved in several events lately.

interblock games are on =) i love it. haha coz i get to exercise and have fun at the same time. lost galaga (sth like street soccer) last night, through penalty kicks! haha nerve-wrecking sia! tonight's vball =) hope it will be exciting as well, and not some serving game like the last match we played. lol.

attended hall ball/ dinner&dance last sat! it was quite fun. the girls dressed up as some cool (but buck-teeth) vampires. why buck-teeth? ask the manufacturer of the vampire teeth. might post some pics up in a few days time maybe? attending sports ball this sat. hope it'll be fun as well. i will be dressing up as some Greek.
becoz of all these, my expenditure for the past few weeks is like.... ~woah~ *shakes head*

sent Marge off last week. miss her!!! hope she'll be happy over there. TAKE CARE margy! =) Ber, Bong and I met this nice French business man by the name of Michel on the train. hahaha quite cute lah. our conversation lasted from ... Expo ? to City Hall leh! LOL he even gave us a namecard and asked us to email him. (haven't made any effort to contact him though)

have been going for driving lessons too. yay, finally booked my pract test date. 8 NJov! hope all goes well. I'm getting sick of Eunos, and the driving centre has sucked ENOUGH money from me liao lah! Can't imagine failing... got to 'donate' another hundred plus bucks ... GEE. driving in Singapore is really expensive man. but so far driving is quite fun. hehe. learning is proceeding quite smoothly. just the occasional horribly stupid errors which give me an immediate failure. had to turn right into the driving centre but somehow i mistook the building beside it as the centre... and the instructor said that 'where u going? u want to buy car?'

yep ok i think that's all for now. i feel sleepy!!! =( sleeping late and waking up early is torturous. and i still have tons of tutorials to do, several presentations to prepare, loads of catching up for lectures.... and the list goes on. jia you jia you jia you!!!

i think i must be missing the softballers a lot a lot coz... .... hahahahaha i had a very weird dream. was watching all the old softball videos and i started crying ... and it's not the tearing-crying but the ... wailing-crying. LOL

welcome to the life of a freshie

hello all! feels as if i haven't been in here for awhile. i have been busy! and also partly because i didn't have a laptop yet for the past 2 weeks. collected my Acer TravelMate yesterday! I like it =) just that i queued almost for an hour plus for that... yucks.

anyway... uni life is pretty nice. i enjoy staying in hall, or rather, in hall 3 block c! hehehe coz there are so many nice people around and it's fun. jun jia works in some catering thingy and she always have nice food for us. yum yum! and there's daph, cheryl and ching to listen to their advice.. there's "u-scrub-my-back, i-scrub-your-front"- denyse, and other friendly seniors and freshies around. so... *yay*! had a mini cooking session with constance and estee on friday evening.
menu: pork chop served with broccoli & carrots, and also mushroom soup. wheee!!!

but ah... i want more sleep!!! have been sleeping later and studying later too... took part in interblock games (netball & bball so far) which are in the evenings.. and by the time we go back to hall ,finish bathing and stuff, it's 11 plus liao. then i start studying. =\ i used to close books by 11 pm. i sleep at 1 plus 2. i used to sleep by 12. i think nobody in hall sleeps before 12. gee.

uni is definitely different. u see people smoking everywhere ( =\ ) and u feel as if u are a grown-up now, entrusted with greater responsibilities etc. and of course there's pressure to do well. got to do some presentation next week with less than a week of preparation. each lecture covers so much and sometimes u leave the lecture thinking "huh? what was that all about?" that's why i lugged home my thick textbooks home... shall attempt to read through them painfully. heh and it's a bit hard to catch what some of the ang-moh/indian/hong kong ... lecturers are saying. need some time to get use to the way they speak... go Jo!

ok shall update again! =) looking forward to a new week. hall dinner and dance next sat!

start of a new term!

Tml will be officially the first day of school! I'm a little excited =) I hope the first day turns out as well as the orientation camps ... hee. At least the people I've met so far were all nice and friendly.
I think I had a nice long break since As ended. Too long though. Brain is kinda rusty already. Did lots of things which were really memorable and fun. The 3 months at my primary school was really enjoyable, felt really good to be back and I could also relieve the good old childish days. The next 3 months at PLKN (malaysian army) was also rather ... ... interesting. Other than the language barrier and lots of time wasted while waiting, I pretty much enjoyed myself there! hee hee. It was a good chance to experience a different culture and also to try out many things that I've never done before. Ehhh... and there was also the fanstastic Sports Camp... a test of my limits and also a chance to try fun stuff such as knee boarding and rockclimbing =)
I attended a little bit of hall camp as it clashed with sports camp. I like the girls haha ermm the guys... they can do much better. Played station games at night... it was pretty fun. I like water games. heh. But it was reaaaally cold that night. And there was this digusting station where we had to transport this long string of ... fish, chicken feet, liver and pig intestines (all raw btw) through the sleeves of our shirts. GROSS right!?!?! The girls were kinda high that night, heehee, sang lots of songs loudly to ourselves. I think we can click relatively well, which is good since we'll be seeing each other quite often in the same block.
We played Amazing Race the next day... and hmmm... somehow the girls were the ones leading the way and urging the others (mainly the guys..) to move a bit faster. GEE. Anyway I left in the late afternoon as the sports camp people were meeting later in the evening for dinner and clubbing. We went Zouk. Hmmm... I had fun dancing with my friends, but clubbing is really not my cup of tea. I can't see myself being in love with cigarette smoke and loud music...
We had prata at 3 plus... and hung around for quite a while. We wanted to avoid paying the midnight charge taxi fare so we waited until 6am. YAWN. But we couldn't find a taxi until 6.20am... =( So in the end I reached home only at 7am... and slept all the way until 4 pm. Pig!
Met up with Ber Candice and Bong recently =) Had dinner and shopped around for awhile... Hope we'll still be seeing each other very often!!! We will, right dears? =)
Okie, I'm going to hall already... haven't got a laptop yet so I dunno when I'll update again. Not too long! take care people!

the best camp ever!

back from sports camp! - SPORTS UNLIMITED 13
it's really the best camp, the most tiring, most physically exhausting, shiong-est camp i've ever attended ... ... ... but i had a lot of fun =)
we sleep for an average of 2 hours every night. not kidding! that makes less than 15 hours of sleep for 7 days! it's amazing how we survived =)
Activities are packed from morning to night... or rather to about 3 am ... everyday! Want to pee or poo also need to find time. And u can't really sleep in the day coz pple will sing some wake-up call song whenever u attempt to take a nap. haha learnt lots of games and cheers during the camp. but i still dunno how to play the "is this a snake" game and the "what's next" game... it sucks when everybody around u knows how and u just look puzzled and confused! lost my voice on like the 4th day. too much cheering and also that nutella probably had something to do with it.
on the 1st night while playing some games i already kena-ed a forfeit ... so embarrassing! and in camps, forfeits always involve doing stupid stuff as a couple. gee. activities ended at 2 plus... and that's the earliest of all in the 6 nights. water games are so damn fun. had a bit of diving in the pool, at first i tot i felt as if i had an asthma attack while using that thing to breathe. but it was a good experience. went to some beach for a day of water activities too. had a taste of windsurfing (difficult!), banana boating (this is blooddy good), jetskiing (shiok ah)... also canoed for about 3 hours plus, paddled to Ubin! drank coconut on the canoe. heehee
went to Old Changi Hospital one night... the first day of the 7th lunar month. haha guys and girls were all paired up and we basically walked together hand-in-hand the whole night. haha it would have been really scary if i was the type who believe in such stuff. haha we had to find the murderer of a mysterious murder case. quite fun... coz the pple who acted the various scenes were really good. very professional! got caught by surprise quite a couple of times heh
had a race in bukit timah hill, which involved hiking and cycling. also another tiring day. ran quite a bit. had to look for clues, played station games and solved puzzles along the way. we settled our lunch only at bout 3 plus when we finished the race. and played games and feasted on bread with nutella and peanut butter hahaha i kena-ed a forfeit which involved playing a digusting game ( "pak qiu zcheng") with a guy from my group. my GL recorded a video and he threatened to upload it on YouTube LOL
had night cycling that day after the bukit timah expedition. set off at 12 am plus! cycled from East Coast Park to NTU!!! no joke! reached NTU at bout 5 am plus... had to really struggle to keep those eyes open man. we even had a couple of traffic policemen to help direct traffic. cool... heehee that day we slept for about an hour and we started the day with fun-filled activities. amazing huh! how can one stay awake with this amount of sleep? we can... LOL
Played Amazing Race from Fri morning to Sat afternoon. travelled around Singapore.
my EZ link card no $ liao! lol. it was really fun, but we ran from station to station. poor guys, they ran with heavy backpacks containing our clothes and water bottles. we started off at NTU and ended at Pasir Ris on Day 1. Had to pitch 2 tents and then run to the finish point. hee. AR resumed the next morning and ended in NTU... We had KBox, bowling, Dragon boating along the way... ate some digusting dried small little frogs at one station. ate smelly beancurd in JooChiat...played a mini "shi zi lu kou" in the Bedok food centre. at the East Coast leg, i led the way for my team. heehee. we went to the SKI360 place and got to try knee-boarding. bloody fun! i want to go there again!!! had to stuff down loads of rice at one station. about 1/2 to 3/4 of a basin of white rice for 10 pple! bought some other dishes like curry chicken to eat with the rice lo. also tried longkang fishing in this place called "Qian Hu". very difficult leh! but anyway, my team came in 2nd out of 16 teams! =) *yay*
on the last night we had SP night. it was rather romantic lah. LOL as in, the place (went to aloha chalet) was nicely decorated with balloons and lights. we had to wear masks and look for your sp who is wearing the same mask. my nickname was Kelly Pan, n my SP was Hong JunYang. LOL
others had Tan Ah Teck and Dolly, Zhou Xing Xing and Wu Jun Ru... haha
my SP ah... lol, a bit toot-toot blur -blur one, but rather nice and gentlemanly lah. haha we had to do stupid things for the seniors which involved us doing igallop. quite gross, but at least it's not Uzap. haha he's probably quite strong too i guess, he had to lift me up and carry me to our table for dinner. 2 couples shared one table. that night was ok lah, just spoke a bit to my SP. forgot his name a couple of times. LOL there was also a deejay who played disco music in the later part of the night. i didn't dance with my SP though, went to look for my group instead. hahaa we danced in an open ground and there was also the smoke effect too, quite cool! and that night we spotted quite a bit of couples forming. heehee interesting.
ended sports camp with the finale race on sunday. the one activity which left us physically drained, mentally exhausted and left us crying after the race. before the race we had to create 2 sedans, each made up of 2 planks of wood with a chair tied in the centre. and we had to carry the sedan during the race...

the race started off with us swimming 1 lap in the pool... then rush off to wear our shirt and shoes and climb up a flight of stairs. the swim itself was already tiring...
and it was just the begining only. we ran a lot, some parts we had to carry the sedan...
other obstacles involve crossing the river with a rope, crawling in the mud, climbing lots of stairs (i hate it!!!)... ...
one of the most tiring thing for me was to drag guys sitting on tyres across a distance. 3 girls to a guy... had 5 girls for the bigger guys.. there were 14 girls and 16 guys.. so we had to drag bout 4 to 5 guys in total. GOSH. the girls also had to climb up this steep and slippery slope. the guys had to be our stepping stones and we had to climb and step on them till we reach the top. damn tiring.
at another station all 16 girls had to climb into the lorry and all 16 guys had to pull the lorry uphill ... it was.... OMG
anyway when we finally crossed the finish line, many broke into tears and gave each other hugs...tears of...relieve? joy? we started the race with 40 and ended with 40. nobody gave up... everybody perserved and gave each other encouragement. we had guys piggybacking girls who couldn't move... we had seniors shouting us along...
great race..
thanks to all who made this camp such a memorable one! lots of effort put in..
and i can't help but say that, there are so many GLS who are bloody good-looking and pretty, heehee. i have a personal fav man! Lol! he's so handsome, has a good body, superb motivator (everytime he gives those encouragement speeches, i feel like crying) and he's also very nice to everybody around him. he would be Mr Perfect who only he doesn't smoke. heeheehee.
can't wait for school to start!

busy but happy

hmmm.. think i had a busy week!

i went to this place in city link called New York New York for dinner with a couple of 04S24 peeps, quite a nice place! do check it out!
yesterday... oh i met anli and xiaowen at parkway for kbox. LOL. it was fun. stood on the seat and held ms chua's hand as we sang "xuan ze". wahahhaha. i can't look into her eyes. (too scary?) oh no bubbles, i'm joking! i think we are 3 mad women who sang rather 'off-keyish' and totally had no image. heehee. but all these make us laugh crazily, totally enjoyed that 3 short hours. oh and we gobbled down loads of nuts and tidbits man. gosh. and my throat condition was already bad to begin with... urgh.
anyway, i met up with the softballers later in the evening. wanted to check out Settlers Cafe in Clarke Quay but it was fully booked =( how disappointing! but in a way it was a blessing in disguise lah coz in the end we had a nice dinner somewhere in Chinatown... called something like Singapore Heritage Centre or something. heehee. Tasted uniquely good jackfruit rice, kailan in oyster sauce and shared a pot of lemongrass seafood porridge. and i also had a good bowl of mango dessert thingy in some dessert shop. yummy!!! =) good food makes me happy! ah. but gaining weight is another thing. =\
and then today! lol i went cycling with Mr Wee. LOL. but it wasn't weird ... heehee. that nice man treated me to a bottle of nice cold 100 plus coz the weather was so hot! but after a while the weather was fantastic- windy and cloudy, my favourite.
in the evening... i went to millenia walk for my sports camp meeting. wah seh, there are so many shuai ges and mei nus!!! nice people too. Yay! learnt a couple of cheers which are kinda ... lol... interesting. hope my voice stays. it's not in its optimal condition now...thanks to a small little (size of a fifty cent coin) yummy chocolate and the kbox session with my powerpuff ladies.

4 months!

It's the 19th! 4 months since I entered army. Fast!
Let me share with u a poem that I created while in one of those boring classes over there. It basically briefly sums up my army life. haha

Watching the clock tick,
Hearing the pens click,
Class is kinda boring,
I am really not joking.
Instructions are in Malay,
A language I hear all day.
I feel like a nun,
I want more fun.
I do mind the scorching sun,
But a chance to play is better than none.
Give me the rope,
That's what I hope.
It doesn't matter,
Even if i drop into the water.
With 6 meals a day, I might gasp and faint
Upon knowing how much weight I have gained.
We always have fish,
Our least favourite dish
We often peep into the kitchen,
Looking out for our beloved chicken.
They serve kopi and teh,
On a hot sunny day.
Long sleeves and long pants we wear,
The weather is already hard to bear.
Sweat flows like running tap...
Oh boy, I really need a cap.
I should stop complaining,
Just in case you are thinking that I'm not enjoying.
Some days aren't that bad.
We play, we laugh and go mad.
Queen says this poem is long,
So I shall stop because it's not meant to be a song.
I thank all for helping to break the language wall...
The only one from a foreign land,
Really appreciates your helping hand.
Terima Kasih! =)
Hee. How issit???
oh and I've uploaded some of my army pics.

computer idiot

Gee. I can be such a gundo sometimes. When something is wrong with the computer, no matter what I do the problem will still be there. But when my brothers just give it a little touch... ~tada! Damn embarrassing. Hmph.

I have always been reliant on my elder bro regarding IT stuff. He's in Aussie already ... (taking computer science btw) and I'm praying that the computer will be good and not breakdown like it used too.

Anyway... watch this stupid lame movie (Waiting) with Ber yesterday. It was ... um. ok horribly vulgar and urgh, gross. I'm glad we didn't have to pay for that show. But it was a waste of my free movie voucher.

HahA. and oh let me tell u something rather amusing. (Ber has to agree).
I met Ber in SMU to accompany her for some LIBRARY orientation. And guess what, turquoise is a rather unique colour right, yet both of us wore that same colour, and both of us wore blue jeans, so imagine how we looked like when we walked down the streets together. I'm glad I didn't bring the white bag which looked almost like Ber's. Met Dawn somewhere and she asked "Did u guys come from work together? Why are you wearing the same colour?" =\

Went for movie again today, with Eddie and Charlene. Caught Just my Luck. It's a rather simple and sweet show. But also very predictable lah. hehe

satay night

Went over to Donna's house for a mini class gathering. Dad satay and mee siam for dinner, which was good =) A 'satay man' was hired to do all the cooking, so all we had to do was eat.
...
Played silly games throughout the night. Indian poker was fun. The forfeit was digusting though. Had to drink some horrible concoction of beer, osyter sauce, ketchup, banana, ONIONS, chin chow (which we tot it was century egg all the while), beer and mashmellow. It tasted really bad. And i drank the most. Gee. Also played Bluff, Heartattack, Poker, some Big Fish/Small Fish game, and also an interesting "I have never ..." game.
Example, someone will make a true statement of himself ... "I have never kissed someone on the lips before." So those who have will have to drink a sip of beer. Good way to dig out secrets, provided they are telling the truth. .
...
Hope i don't get a stomachache tonight.

farewell...

aw man. today was the last day of school for xiao wen and anli. aka blossom and bubbles. although i left sch like months ago, i feel like this is also a farewell for me! haha i have been dropping by NAPS every now and then to visit the ladies, the boys and the teachers ever since i left. so after today, i probably won't have a reason to go back so often ... and hence i can't help feeling a little sad! it's always nice when i go back and the eager students will start to surround u and then fire numerous questions like, "when are you coming back?", "will u be teaching us again?" ... ...
-
anyway today was a pretty nice day. cycled to NAPs and secretly sneaked into the conference room. wanted to give Mrs Wong and Jan a mini bday celebration. Mrs Wong is just so cute and nice man! after that i spent the whole afternoon helping the ladies to do the photo album for Lala and Mumu. ~hai. the 2 boys who we adore! Lol. i hope they grow up to be fine young men. but .... ... oh wells.
-
anyway when it was about 4.30pm, the teachers started to hurry us to leave. but oh no, we still had many things to do (the 2 ladies had to clear the cubicle and finish up whatever undone work there was. i was still busy with the photo album). almost went crazy. hehe. ahhh at last when we were done, Jan drove the 3 of us to Parkway, and we met Mrs Wong, Veron and another XiaoWen for dinner at Swensens. if any students saw us i bet they will run away, coz there were 4 HODS and 3 relief teachers. hehehe dinner conversation was rather grown-up lol. things like babies and fertility stuff... career/ uni stuff... and even about ah beng and ah lians...
-
~hai. i miss NAPS already. =\ Mrs Wong, Bubbles and Blossom. Lala, Mumu, La-ma. the "La-family" is so sweet lah!!! i think after school Lama and Mumu went to buy little farewell gifts for us, and then Mumu came knocking on the HOD room door and asked the 3 of us to come out. heehee. ~hai. hopefully 3 months later they will still remember us. u know kids, how they can just forget pple. haha

just thinking...

went to suntec's muthu's curry for dinner with my vj classmates yesterday. i think the food wasn't that bad.. but we took some time ordering the food coz we didn't know the indian food terms... anyway, i saw my very old childhood malay fren on the way back home yesterday. we spoke for a while.. and i realised that we haven't seen each other in years. her sis is married and even have a 9-day old baby.she was one of my closest frens back in the ... 90s. haha ok she lives in the next block, and we were kindergarten frens. we would meet up everyday after school to play ... she was the one who taught me how to blade... i would go to her house to play ALLADIN in her computer... those were good times...

~hai~ it's sad that u can be best frens now, and few years down the road your best fren becomes almost like a stranger. BOO.
10 years ago, my neighbours and I were so close. we play almost every afternoon, and we had so much fun =) we would hold little gatherings in the common area and just hang out till our parents call us home... Now... we have all grown up... we don't see each other everyday. and even if we do, we speak only a few sentences at most. ah. SO SAD! i hate this.

and as i was packing my old old photos, i realised that there are so many 'good frens' of the past that i hardly contact now. =( i had wonderful primary school days... very fun secondary school experience which i'm very thankful for having the opportunity to join the softball team... JC was tough, but also fun in a way...
will be stepping into Uni soon, and will be meeting different pple. i do hope that this time my present good frens will still remain as good frens after a few years down the road... but it's not going to be easy. don't u find yourself in a situation where sometimes the conversation just doesn't flow as smoothly?

i've been in the same sch as Ber, Bong and Can for six years, and we see each other almost everyday in school. even when there wasn't school there were still trainings...ahhhhhhhhhhh... it will be weird now that both Ber and Bong are in SMU. oh wells, at least i still have piggy, who will be more roommy! =) i'm actually rather excited for uni..signed up for the sports orientation. i'm considering the hall one still coz it's immediately after my 7 days 6 nights sports orientation... but i'll probably go lah. i should right?

^_^

met up with a couple of primary sch classmates earlier... caught Superman. some said it was boring.. but to me it wasn't tat bad! hee maybe because i kept telling Vanessa how cute Brandon Routh was in the show... he could be quite good-looking. hehehe

anyway something stupid and terrible happened before the show. was talking to a fren and was rubbing my left eye at the same time. and the next moment i realised that my left vision was blurry. argh. darn sickening irritating. no prize for guessing what happened... ...
anyway... so i watched Superman with an impaired vision. i still can't believe how stupid i was. i tot such things only happens on tv. JO AH!!!
but there were happy moments too.
1) i received an sms from a malay army fren. yay! one of my fav female frens coz she's so sweet and pretty. hahahaha man, i sound cheeko.
2) i saw my chinese army fren in cine. =) but darn, if only i stopped a little longer to talk more...
3) i had fun hanging out and laughing at stupid things with my pri sch frens. heh. and i miss the good old days.

anyway swimming with Ber the other day was great. but we were damn unfit lah. hohoho
she drove me around, which was pretty fun. HAHA, yea Ber? we had Fish n Co for dinner which was yummmy good. hee. good day good day =) we should do that more often....

2 days later, i went over to Shareena's house and watched the France VS Portugal match at some food centre in Bedok. hehe i didn't expect myself to be up at 3 am to watch soccer. oh wells. but it wasn't that bad. maybe becoz i had prata for company hehehe. stayed over at Shareena's place that night (morning?). i have always loved her house. HEE. we woke up at 12 plus that day and had nice french toast for breakfast. we lazed around until 3 plus and then we finally decided to move our butts and go down for a swim. another good day!

swimming is good.
