A friend of ours is about to get some crowns put on his teeth. Somehow this came up during a recent dinner conversation. L asked why he was getting crowns put on his teach. As I tried to explain, her puzzled expression showed me what we both were picturing: the dentist placing crowns like those worn by a king on his teeth. The whole family got a good chuckle.
