Guacamole

Vi starete domandando la natura di questa salsa dal coloro sospetto...niente paura è Guacamole!!!
Perfetta da mangiare con le patatine di mais, è una di quelle ricette facili e veloci in grado di arricchire il vostro aperitivo organizzato all'ultimo minuto.

Ingredienti:
1 scatoletta di tonno 160g
1avocado maturo
1 limone
1 cucchiaino di senape
sale
pepe


Preparazione:
Dovreste scegliere un avocado maturo facile da schiacciare con la forchetta, una volta sbucciato tagliatelo a pezzettini aggiungete il tonno e il limone schiacciando bene il tutto.
Aggiungete sale e pepe e la senape se vi piace et voilà già finito...da mangiare rigorosamente con le patatine di mais,piace anche ai nostri fratelli che con frutta e verdura si sa non hanno un bel rapporto.

Economia con Fantasia

Quella che vi sta scrivendo è stata, forse è, forse sarà un’economista un po’ atipica, indecisa, ibrida e, diciamolo pure, non troppo convinta della sua vocazione.. Ma le mie pause pranzo nella City londinese, le mie birre pomeridiane in compagnia dei colletti bianchi, finalmente all’aria aperta (dopo ore e ore e ore nel tunnel di telefoni, fotocopie, computer e riunioni), beh questi diversivi, apparentemente insignificanti, mi hanno fatto pensare che la scelta giusta può anche essere un po’ un compromesso..

Perché in quell’ora di libertà non ci sta solamene un panino per pranzo: ci sta una corsetta per lo sportivo, ci sta un mini picnic nel giardinetto nascosto tra i grattacieli, ci sta una chiacchierata con l’amico su una panchina, un veloce barbecue inglese, una sana birra  con il collega, una lettura solitaria e pensierosa.

Perché alle sei in punto si assiste ad una vera e proprio marcia di questi pinguini elegantissimi e tiratissimi e ingessatissimi, che improvvisamente si snodano la cravatta, si levano la giacca, spengono l’odiato blackberry per farsi una sacrosanta ed intoccabile pinta (forse anche più di una!) con gli amici. Un rito, un ridiscesa nella vita umana, passando dal dodicesimo piando dell’ufficio al piano terra dei pub.

E hanno stile poi, questi signori e signorini.. Confermiamo che l’uomo in completo ha sempre un suo fascino, quello con la cravatta e lo zaino in spalla però ancora di più!!

Ok I admit.. I am an "economist" who is not so sure of her vocation.. I'm a kind of atypical, strange and undecided economist! But the launch breaks in the City, the afternoon beers with the white collar workers, at last in the open air, after many endless hours stucked in the offices, well all these diversions persuaded me that sometimes a compromise might be the better choice.
Beacuse in that hour of freedom everyone can devote to his own passions: you can have a run if you are a sporty guy, you can have a little picnic in the park, you can have a chat with your friends on a bench, have a beer with your colleagues, read a book on your own, or whatever!
And at six o'clock you can attend to a real parade of those white and black "penguins", once so smart, elegant and sleek, who take off their tie and their jacket, turn off the so hated blackberry in order to have a sacred and untouchable pint with friends.. A rite, a new decsent to the human life, passing from the 12th floor of the office to the ground floor of the pub =)
And they are stylish too, these gentlemen..We confirm that a man wearing a suit is always charming, but a man who wears a tie and a rucksack at the same time, he is even more!

Panama Jokes

This is a casual post, not prepared before, born in a moment of inspiration. We were trying to feel as if we were at the seaside, and we decided to have dinner with the feet in the sand: Pizza from “Why Not”, no elaborated food this time.. and we realized that we were on the beach, just when the sun was going down, the light was fabulous, and the setting once again enchanted and romantic. We couldn’t resist to ask our friends to take us some pictures..

Questo post non è stato studiato, è stato frutto dell’ispirazione di un momento. Prese dalla voglia di fingerci al mare e di sperimentare una cena con i piedi nella sabbia molto poco preparata, mitica pizza di “Why Not”, ci siamo ritrovate in spiaggia, questa volta alle Rocchette, al tramonto, con una luce da favola,  vestite da spiaggia e con uno sfondo ancora una volta incantato e avvolto da una magia romantica. Non abbiamo resistito e abbiamo incaricato i nostri amici di farci qualche foto.

We can consider this party  the beggining of our summer... finally all the exams are over and we can feel that freedom which is unique at our age..and so why not celebrate? We have decided to do that in a great style...ingredients: blue colour, flowers, music, friends and our recipies... These pics has been taken before the party.. Possiamo considerare questa festa l'inizio della nostra estate..finalmente gli esami sono finiti e possiamo alzarci al mattino cullandoci nella sensazione del dolce far niente e dell' assoluta libertà;con la testa libera e il corpo che si rigenera.. perchè non festeggiare?? Abbiamo deciso di farlo in grande stile... Ingredienti della serata: il blu, fiori, musica, amici e le nostre ricettine.. Queste foto sono state scattate prima della festa.. la preparazione di un evento è ciò che può dare maggiori soddisfazioni. London bites

Siamo donne di parola.. Allora, come vi avevamo annunciato, ecco le grandi, succose novità! (almeno per la nostra abituale routine da brave ragazze ;) Martina, cioè la morettina,  ha detto addio (un addio estivo e temporaneo, purtroppo!) all’ovile e se ne è andata nella City.. Per esercitare l’inglese, dice lei, per farsi un bel soggiorno nella swinging London, dicono tutti! Ecco allora un racconto, iniziale e parziale, delle prime avventure, impressioni, scoperte..

E chi l’ha detto che gli Inglesi non hanno la cultura del cibo, che conoscono solo Fish&Chips? Scommetto che vedendo queste foto stuzzicanti, da acquolina in bocca, non vi è venuta in mente di certo la Londra dei fast food, ma la Parigi buongustaia e chic.. Ebbene, vi sbagliate, siamo nel cuore della City, a due passi dal Tower Bridge.. Una scoperta incredibile, da svenimento, da indigestione! E allora grazie all’amico che mi ha consigliato di fare una capatina (che per me è durata tutta la giornata!) al Borough Market, questo luogo nascosto, protetto dalle turbe di turisti, paradiso delle brave massaie londinesi e dei biondi panzoni, che evidentemente non si rifocillano solamente di junk food.. Perché questa è arte, arte per gli occhi, per il naso, per la pancia e soprattutto per la mente; è il simbolo di una città tollerante e cosmopolita, dove l’odore speziato del couscous si mescola a quello forte del formaggio francese, il colore acceso delle olive greche al candore delle cheesecakes, la friabilità della baguette alla morbidezza dei brownies..
Insomma, se volete vedere la città da una nuova prospettiva, sentirla, annusarla e assaporarla, datemi retta.. La domenica è sacra e intoccabile, da dedicare solo ed esclusivamente al Borough Market! Vi lascerete trasportare dalla corrente e dagli odori, comprerete cibi di cui non sospettavate nemmeno l’esistenza, nascerà in voi un’insolita vocazione da degustatori e forse anche da chef! Io mi sono fiondata in un caffè delizioso, tutto da mangiare con gli occhi (incluse le pale del ventilatore!), dove nessuno mi ha potuto allontanare da un sano scone al ciocco (have a look at the pics ;).. e non sto poi a dirvi cosa ho comprato.. Sinceramente non me lo ricordo nemmeno io!! Ma vi anticipo che vi aspetteranno delizie tratte dal ricettario della stra famosa Hummingbird Bakery (sperando di esserne all’altezza!) e una torta, un dolcetto, un cake, insomma qualcosa a base di Lemon Curd (quello originale!!)

Intanto state sintonizzati.. Perché  i mercatini di Londra sono infiniti!!!

As we always keep our words, here are the great news we have announced before! Martina, the brunette, has left the little native town, not for ever, but only for a (too short!!) 3 week-period .. To practise English, she says, to have a holiday in the Swinging London, the most think! So these are her first impressions, thoughts, discoveries..

Who has ever said that English people only eat Fish&Chips?! I bet that when these delicious and mouth-watering pics ring a bell in your mind about the chic and gourmet Paris, surely not about London, the city of fast food.. But you are wrong, my friends.. we are in the hearth of the City, only two steps from the Tower Bridge! The Bourogh Market has actually been an enchanting, whetting and indigestion-causing discovery.. It's an idylliac place, untouched by the crowd of tourists and it's the perfect paradise for the perfect English housewife, or even for the blonde pot-bellied men, who evidently gulp down not only junk food...! It is the symbol of a cosmopolitan and tollerant city, where Arabic couscous, Frenche baguette, greece oliives and Italian ham are mixed together in an harmonic way..
So if you'd like to watch the city from a different point of view, to taste, sniff, savour and deeply feel London, pay heed to me.. Sunday is a sacred and untouchable day, onlyto be devoted to the Borough Market!! You will be carried away by the delicious aromas, you will buy mysterious food, you will become tasters and chefs! I yelded to a dramatic chocolate-chip scone and to many other kinds of food I can't even remember now! I can just tell you that you will shortly taste a cake with the original English Lemon Curd and something from the famous Hummingbird receipe book (hope to match up with it!!)
