The love of a sister

Some mornings are harder than others and this one particular morning Kiera was having a really hard day. It took me a lot of convincing just to get her dressed, fed, and off to school. So I took them to school like usual and Kiera was crying in the car and didn't want to get out. My other kids were already walking. Finally, Kiera decided she could get out and go, and off she runs just to trip on the curb and fall to her knees. My heart just ached for her and I just sat and watched to see if she was going to need me or not. Up ahead Olivia hears the commotion and turns back and runs to the aid of her sister.
She picks her up and walks arm in arm with her the rest of the way to school. I instantly welled up with emotion because those moments in life are some of the sweetest moments to a parent. I don't know if Kiera will remember the service Olivia did for her that day, but I know I will never forget.

What goes around comes around

It always cracks me up how the younger siblings get into their older siblings things. The last year and half Kiera was constantly getting on Olivia's bed and ruining her things. Livvy would come home from school and I would get an earful about how Kiera was sooo terrible. I would always patiently tell Olivia that when she was little she always got into my stuff and ruined it and that is how it goes sometimes. Kiera would get in trouble, but she never seemed to care. So now to the point. Ashlyn will go missing and quietness also means trouble,so the first place I look is on someones bed and sure enough she is on a bed,at it so happens to be Kieras. Ashlyn will either be putting on all of Kieras lip gloss or coloring on something that isn't a coloring book. It just makes me smile 'cause its true, what goes around comes around. The only difference is that Kiera never complains.

Baby update

I am 14 weeks. I can feel little flutters here and there, but one can never be really sure what those are. The nurse at my doctors office was so funny because she asked if I have been feeling the baby move and I said I was not sure and she said, " ah by the time you have your 5th or 6th kid you will be an expert." I said I am having my 5th. It is always fun watching the shock come over peoples faces when I tell them that. Due to lack of any muscle left in my stomach I think my belly is sticking out all ready, but lots of people tell me otherwise so I am only left to believe that my chubby stomach is what is really hanging out...... sigh. Oh well I guess all in the name of having kids. We are all doing great here and look forward to Thanksgiving and being with family.

Ashlyn turns 2!

We had a really fun birthday for Ashlyn. Ashlyn got stretchy spiders, pjs, and a stroller. The only thing she likes is the stroller. My older kids were screaming because the spiders stick to the ceiling and then fall so, now Ashlyn is afraid of them. She really liked the spiders until they did that. I think she doesn't like her pjs because the spiders and the pjs were wrapped together. Its the only thing I can think of. I hope you enjoy the video.

Disneyland

So Disneyland was so much fun. I loved every minute of it. The only day that was a little awkward and eye opening was Sat. Apparently the gay community has Gay Days at Disneyland and we got stuck right in the middle of it. Lucky for me I had a red poncho so I fit right in with the rest of them ( red was their color this yr). Ugh right? I was so thankful my kids were not there. I am not ready to cross that bridge yet. I pretty much just looked straight ahead and not pay any attention to it. Otherwise I think my jaw would have been dropped more then it was. Word to the wise the first weekend in Oct. is gay days. Anyway, life is good. I had my first baby appointment and found out I am 8 weeks. The baby looks like a peanut. I have been very nauseous with this baby so I am looking forward to getting over that. Other than that my kids are doing great. I feel blessed as usual to have such awesome kids. I will post pictures as soon as i find my camera.

Dillon gets glasses

We just found out that Dillon does in fact need glasses. I can't wait for them to come in because he will look so handsome. I never new trying to find BOY glasses could be so difficult. The lady at the glasses store kept laughing at me and telling me I had girlie glasses on Dillon ( they didn't look that girlie to me). Another wonderful adventure with my kids. We also learned that if our kids would be born with my right eye and Camdens left eye they could maybe get away with no glasses at all. Well I don't know how it works but that never seems to happen. Hope all is well with everyone else. We love and miss our family and think about everyone often. Marisa

My new haircut!

Whenever I get pregnant I always start changing my hair color so I feel like I still have some control. My friend and I bought a box of color and dyed each others hair. Then I decided I needed a shorter cut. Anyway, here is my new haircut. It feels so much better so I am glad I did it.
For those who asked I think I am due in May. My dad is hoping for May 12th because that is his BD. We shall see. My babies never come when I want them to. So maybe it will come for Opa.

Baby # 5

We are so excited to be having another baby. Lucky for me I don't get morning sickness or anything. I have noticed that I seem to be showing faster with this pregnancy then any other. Is that possible?? Anyway I was going to wait to let others know but I am to excited. Take the news as you will. Marisa

Reality Bites

Wishing I was there again. I am addicted to the lake. The reality of life sometimes doesn't seem as exciting as the lake.... sigh. Oh well there is to much to be grateful for... like winter time and snow skiing. Am I right? I love skiing! My very patient and loving husband taught me last year and so what can I say but I am addicted to that too. My sister n law learned last yr and she is crazy. She raced down midway quote, " because she loves speed" only to crash at the bottom and lost her glasses. Can't wait to see that again. It was quite funny. Well its late and I am a tired mom so I checked out, I mean I am checking out. Although I do check out quite often. Loves Marisa

Committed

We have committed our lives the next few months to soccer. The kids have practice Tues, Wed, and Thursday. Then, bright and early on Sat. we have to be at the soccer field for games. Half of our Sat. is spent there. I actually love it. Kids are so cute and fun and its exciting to see how they grow and change each year. Dillon is the biggest crack up because he doesn't want to fight the other kids for the ball. He patiently waits and when the ball is stopped for one reason or the other he strikes and takes off kicking the ball. Everyone will be yelling at him to stop and he just laughs and has the best time. I must admit that I get a little embarrassed by this; however, kids will be kids. Life is great and I feel greatly blessed by the Lord. I really feel the inspirations in families and how we are so important here on earth. I hope I can always remember to see my kids they way the Lord does and treat them the way they deserve. I find it so amusing how the Lord teaches me a lesson when I am trying to teach me kids a lesson. Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone. I love all the comments and would love to keep in better contact with everyone.

Just Be Brave

My first attempt at crossing the wake. It's not as easy as it looks. Word of advice if you tell yourself its not going to hurt, it still will hurt. Belly flops are always bad! But hey look at those nice arms. Yeah Baby.

Hurray

I made my first blog hurray for me.
