We found out!!!!

It was a very exciting day. Camden and I went to the ultrasound together and it was so much fun to see the baby. We found out that the baby is 2 pounds and 5 ounces, which tells my doc. we are having a big one. Can't wait. Ouch poor me. Anyway the best part was seeing the baby in 4d. We pretty much could tell what the baby will look like when it comes out. Now my very favorite part of this whole story is thinking I am having a boy and being wrong for the first time. Camden face was priceless when he heard he was having a girl not a boy. So no more thinking boy names and off the figuring out a girls name. Fun for me. I love having little girls. Now Camden is pathetic when it comes to names. When asked he told me Sunshine. Ugg I need help right. So if anyone has a good girls name that doesn't take me back to the hippie days I am all ears. Hopefully this news is as fun for you as it was for me.

For the love of skiing!

So I know I am getting up there in my pregnancy, but I love skiing. This year we have had awesome snow and so every weekend it seems like the perfect thing to do. I also get excited because my snow pants still fit so why not go. Over the weekend Camden's childhood friend came to town and of course we went skiing. It is a lot of fun to catch a glimpse of the man I married through his friends eyes. I love to hear their memories of each other. It was so much fun. Anyway for those who are wondering. I will have my ultrasound Feb 11th. Hopefully the baby will be very cooperative and let me see what I am having. I guess that is all for now. Also as soon as I remember my password for my music I will change that on my blog. Amber Smith if you read this you need to update.

The love of a sister

Some mornings are harder than others and this one particular morning Kiera was having a really hard day. It took me a lot of convincing just to get her dressed, fed, and off to school. So I took them to school like usual and Kiera was crying in the car and didn't want to get out. My other kids were already walking. Finally, Kiera decided she could get out and go, and off she runs just to trip on the curb and fall to her knees. My heart just ached for her and I just sat and watched to see if she was going to need me or not. Up ahead Olivia hears the commotion and turns back and runs to the aid of her sister.
She picks her up and walks arm in arm with her the rest of the way to school. I instantly welled up with emotion because those moments in life are some of the sweetest moments to a parent. I don't know if Kiera will remember the service Olivia did for her that day, but I know I will never forget.

What goes around comes around

It always cracks me up how the younger siblings get into their older siblings things. The last year and half Kiera was constantly getting on Olivia's bed and ruining her things. Livvy would come home from school and I would get an earful about how Kiera was sooo terrible. I would always patiently tell Olivia that when she was little she always got into my stuff and ruined it and that is how it goes sometimes. Kiera would get in trouble, but she never seemed to care. So now to the point. Ashlyn will go missing and quietness also means trouble,so the first place I look is on someones bed and sure enough she is on a bed,at it so happens to be Kieras. Ashlyn will either be putting on all of Kieras lip gloss or coloring on something that isn't a coloring book. It just makes me smile 'cause its true, what goes around comes around. The only difference is that Kiera never complains.

Baby update

I am 14 weeks. I can feel little flutters here and there, but one can never be really sure what those are. The nurse at my doctors office was so funny because she asked if I have been feeling the baby move and I said I was not sure and she said, " ah by the time you have your 5th or 6th kid you will be an expert." I said I am having my 5th. It is always fun watching the shock come over peoples faces when I tell them that. Due to lack of any muscle left in my stomach I think my belly is sticking out all ready, but lots of people tell me otherwise so I am only left to believe that my chubby stomach is what is really hanging out...... sigh. Oh well I guess all in the name of having kids. We are all doing great here and look forward to Thanksgiving and being with family.

Ashlyn turns 2!

We had a really fun birthday for Ashlyn. Ashlyn got stretchy spiders, pjs, and a stroller. The only thing she likes is the stroller. My older kids were screaming because the spiders stick to the ceiling and then fall so, now Ashlyn is afraid of them. She really liked the spiders until they did that. I think she doesn't like her pjs because the spiders and the pjs were wrapped together. Its the only thing I can think of. I hope you enjoy the video.

Disneyland

So Disneyland was so much fun. I loved every minute of it. The only day that was a little awkward and eye opening was Sat. Apparently the gay community has Gay Days at Disneyland and we got stuck right in the middle of it. Lucky for me I had a red poncho so I fit right in with the rest of them ( red was their color this yr). Ugh right? I was so thankful my kids were not there. I am not ready to cross that bridge yet. I pretty much just looked straight ahead and not pay any attention to it. Otherwise I think my jaw would have been dropped more then it was. Word to the wise the first weekend in Oct. is gay days. Anyway, life is good. I had my first baby appointment and found out I am 8 weeks. The baby looks like a peanut. I have been very nauseous with this baby so I am looking forward to getting over that. Other than that my kids are doing great. I feel blessed as usual to have such awesome kids. I will post pictures as soon as i find my camera.
