Ok, regarding the previous entry, it's about getting maxonline and cable tv. The verdict is.. yes, we're getting it. Yay! Went to westmall with bro just now to subscribe. Friday is the day!! =) It's cool, but just hope that i won't get too distracted.

Woah, that NCC junior sure loves NCC. I'm not saying that you can't like it, but it's kinda crappy la. Wait till you see the content.

Time is running out

It has been quite a while since i last blogged a proper entry. So i shall blog before i go to bed or continue with my homework, depending on how slpy i'll be after i finish blogging.
The past week in school had been quite horrible. Everything's going so fast and i barely have the time to rest properly. Everything after school when i get home, i'll be feeling so tired that i won't have the energy to do my work and end up taking a nap. By the time i wake up, have my dinner and finish my assignments, it's about time to sleep. Time is slipping past so quickly.
Maths is going faster than i can catch up. Ok, maybe not that bad but it's really going very very fast. After every maths lesson, my brain will be so damn freaking tired to properly think of other things. Oh yah, and recently i realised something about the ppl in class. Some guys just can't live a second without kicking the ball. And they love playing in the class, thus hitting ppl with the ball frequently. z.
Went for NCC today and passed all the NCC stuff i had to the next admin head. Didn't know that i had so much rubbish with me all this while. But whatever it is, i don't have to bother about all these crap any longer, just some stuff that i have not taught him. Ok, that's the good news. The bad news is there'll be a combined passing out parade for the uniform groups sometime during the end of this month. Argh, waste of time. Bo liao.
I keep saying that time is running out and there's not enough time left. BUT! Thinking abt it, i shldn't complain much since everyone has 24 hours a day. It's just how u spend it.

What?!

Ok, everything is finally over and the HOTO thingy was quite successful. Nothing major happened and i'm pretty happy about that.
BUT! Some really hurtful stuff happened today and i'm really kinda pissed.
During English today, Ms Chua wanted to tell the class about the speech that i would be presenting later on so she was asking me if it would be ok if she mentioned about it. So i said "anything" and then she went on.. trying to tell the class.
When she JUST started saying few words of the announcement, someone shouted out something like "Prefects~ as if they do a hundred and one things like that," in a very sarcastic tone.
It might be a simple passing remark but it certainly had a huge amount of impact on me. I don't deny the fact that the outgoing exco is not good but with him saying that so directly, i don't know where to even hide my face. I didn't even get the most basic and mere minimum amount of respect that i shld at least have.
Ms Chua asked me "Erm.. Melvin, what's the name of the ceremony thing today?"
Being so damn pissed and affected by that remark, i told her "Never mind, some people don't even care."
When i said that, something else happened. Some people started doing the chanting chanting thingy. Woah, what a joke. -.-"
I admit that the prefects DON'T do a hundred and one things but we ARE of some use, at least. It might seem like an easy job to some but think of it if you are in our shoes, you think it's gonna be easy? Yes? Then think again.
Most of our efforts don't get seen cos we are generally more involved in events planning etc so those "backstage" job, do people get to see? No. Just based on what they see from the outside, people think we are good for nothing and we managed to get the post for god knows what reasons.
Some might be unhappy about something or they disagree with a something someone says but saying that SO directly was really really very upsetting. If people say that the prefects are useless and lousy, it also means that i'm a lousy head prefect. I wouldn't say that we are fantastic, i wouldn't say that we are that bad either. But whatever it is, i always believe that there are always better ways in getting your message across to the other party. Definitely not shouting it out infront of the whole class.
Everything is over and i'm no longer the head prefect. I'm just gonna let everything go. Things might be better that way. |

This week wasn't a really good one for me. Busy almost every single day. I doubt next week will be any better. Remedials, activities etc. Never ending. -.-"
Monday - jobs skills and etiquette course
Tuesday - had to settle some prefects stuff
Wednesday - CIP at golden willows
Thursday - CL O level oral
Friday - settle prefects stuff
Today is NCC day and i had to wake up at freaking 5.15am to get ready and travel to school. When i reached school, it was like a little past 6 and i think i was the first part d to be there. Not much people were there and many came after 6.15am. It's always like that year after year and really kinda pek cek sometimes. Come so early for nothing. Argh. But anyway, the NCC day parade thingy in the morning was quite ok la. A bit sian but that's what we have to do every year.
Thank god that the part Ds this year need not do the donation card thingy. Woah!! It's really very tedious to do the donation card thingy. It always comes with a minimum amount for our school. I think this year is still $75. Yeah, everyone has to collect a minimum of $75 for their personal donation card. -.-" Had enough of those days.
I think the NCC sec 4 batch will be passing out in a week or two. Really can't wait for that day to come. But even so, work for me is still never stopping. Received some shooting admin stuff to do from Mr Ng ytd and today, got some donation cards admin thingy given by Mr Chia. If i'm not wrong, last year i've already took over the post of an admin even before the actual handing over ceremony thingy. zz.. Guess i shld be used to all these stuff by now. Yeah, used to it already but can't wait to get my hands off.
Had quite a tough day after that. Was with the POPs and soon-to-be EXCOs in the afternoon. Discussed abt the HOTO stuff with them and i think things got better than the state it was in when PY called me ytd. The no budget thingy, the number of guests blah blah. Some observations were not very pleasing and so we ticked them off towards the end.
The ceremony is just next week and time is really running out. Hmm, some of the stuff that we mentioned might be a little too overboard or too harsh but i felt that only that would let them know the urgency of the whole matter. Anyway, all these are all part of learning.
Just hope that they take our advice and do their best! I'm hoping for a good show on wednesday! =) |
