Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve it was just the 3 of us! We really enjoyed having our own family Christmas.
Dressed and ready to go to the Candle Light Christmas Eve service at Church! Addison checking out our tree before going to church. Daddy helping her to get a better look!
Checking out the Nativity Scene with mommy!
Mad at mommy for taking her away from the Nativity Scene that she wanted to play with and put in her mouth!
After church we ate supper and topped it off with a sugar cookie minus the frosting. Not my idea of yummy, but she enjoyed nibbling on it!
Playing with her new 'Little People Townhouse'
Really playing with her new toy!
Enthralled with the Choo Choo Soul DVD we gave her. She LOVES these music videos done by Playhouse Disney! She'd watch them all day if we'd let her!

Christmas Day

On Christmas Day we were at Grandpa & Grandma Rogness'! Addison showing us her stocking!
The cousins:
Carter, Mickayla, Addison, Lane & Mason
The girl cousins in their Nordic apparel. Opening presents!
Enjoying the gifts her cousins got: Mason's wheelbarrow & Mickayla's JD purse. Christmas is a lot of fun and can wear a little girl out!

Thanksgiving/Christmas

Well, it's almost been a full month since I've last blogged! I apologize for being so behind!
We spent Thanksgiving this year in Iowa with Mike's family. While we were there we celebrated Christmas together.
Addison with uncle Caleb
with Aunt Sarah & Uncle Ken
with Grandma & Grandpa
with cousins Sheridan, Shauna & Skylar (Sadly this is the best picture I have of them all together - Addison just didn't want to cooperate) Great Aunt Linda & Addison wearing the cozy pullover Linda made for her!
One of Addison's gifts was a Chicago Bears Cheerleaders outfit.

My baby playing with her baby!

Cleaning her baby's face! She likes to push her dolls around in their stroller and the other day I found her just sitting by her baby hanging out!

The Entertainer

In an earlier post I mentioned that Addison likes to put washcloths on her head and walk around - well, it's still a favorite activity. She is constantly entertaining us, whether that's her plan or not! She's so fun! She wouldn't stand in front of me so that I could take her picture - she insisted that she sit on my lap. I think it's because she wanted to see the picture on the camera immediately!

Smile!

Addison has developed a signature smile. When we ask her to smile, especially for the camera, this is what we get! Just in time for Christmas!
This girl has a million different faces!

A Card Carrying Member

Yesterday was Addison's 2nd trip to the Library! This time she got her very own Library Card!
Here she is with the bag we carry the books in and her card!

Favorites & Friends

One of her new favorite things to do is 'help' me fold laundry. She'll usually pull out a handful of washcloths and play with them while I fold everything else. The playing consists of her putting the washcloth on her head and either tipping her head so it falls off or simply pulling it off herself. This can go on for a good 20-30 min.
Being silly and trying to hide from me! Checking out mom's new shoes! This weekend the Allen's were at Grandma & Grandpa's house! Addie had fun trying on her cousin's Halloween costume! Of course Addie had to check out their puppy!
And pet their puppy!
It was fun to see them all this past weekend!

Halloween

Here are pictures from last night!
Addison was a bumble bee!
My favorite thing about this costume is that whenever she would nod her head the little antennas would shake!
First we stopped at the JD store to visit Grandpa, but he wasn't there so we took her picture on a compact tractor! Then we went trick-or-treating at Grandma & Grandpa's house! It was a fun surprise for them since they didn't know we even had a costume for Addie!
**Side note: It's hard for me to look at these pictures of her in her costume wearing white socks & brown shoes with black. It goes against everything I've ever believed in and studied in school - I know better! But I had forgotten to get her black socks at least! Some day I'm going to have to explain to her what happen and I hope she accepts my apology!** Grandma offered us some candy to take home so I gathered up a baggie full! Addie thought she needed to check it out.

And check it out she did - for a long time! We had planned to trick-or-treat a little more before calling it a night, but she didn't want to stop playing with the bag of candy. She ended up having a bit of a melt down so we just went home.

Here is some video of Addison playing with the bag of candy at Grandma & Grandpa's house. It isn't the best video quality and you may have to turn your volume way up to hear anything. Although there isn't much to listen to, it's just me talking to her.
