This year Justin could hardly wait to carve his pumpkin, Mike was also pretty excited because we found a Mickey Mouse template to use to carve Garrett's pumpkin. It was the first time we have ever tried to carve anything but a traditional Jack O Lantern. Mike didn't know how it would turn out so we bought an extra pumpkin so we could practice on Minnie Mouse. They both turned out pretty good. We let Justin carve his own pumpkin with a little guidance from Mike he thought that was so cool that he got to do his own. Garrett always eager to try new foods had to taste the pumpkin of coarse. I don't think it was as good as he thought it would be.

Fall Fun
Justin has been asking for awhile now if we can rake up the leaves so that he can jump in them. So we started to rake up the few leaves we had to see if they would make a big enough pile. Luck was on his side it was not a huge pile but big enough for both boys to jump in and have a great time.
I think Justin was trying to see how much "air" he could get. After awhile Kyle and Mckinley who live just up the road came to play in the leaves with Justin and Garrett. They decided to bury each other both Justin and Garrett were pretty sceptical about being buried by a pile a leaves. Justin did pretty good but they would only get Garrett half buried before he would sit up. He still had a great time.

Pictures
While at my moms recently I noticed that the photos of my kids were not like the photos of my bothers kids. Both my brothers had photos of there kids that were really close ups of their faces. The photos of my kids were pics that Debbie Forbes took in the spring, they were also cute but they were more of there whole bodies than just their faces. So I decided to do a little photo shoot of our own. I think the result turned out pretty good. I even made 8 x 10's for my own house!
Who needs professional photos!!!

My new helpers
Since we got back from Disneyland I have been so busy, the day after we got back I started to help Jaynee decorate for the book fair at Justin's school. We pretty much had everything ready before I left for Disneyland we just had to set it up at the school. The theme was a book fair safari we made a zebra bus that turned out pretty cute and then we cut out animals for the walls and the shelfs for the teachers favorite books. Then on Monday the 29th my mom had surgery on her foot. I spent all day at the hospital on Monday and then went back on Tuesday morning to pick her up and take her back to her house. I have been going over to her house off and on since Monday to help get her bathed and her meals. She is doing pretty good but will have to stay off of her foot for at least 4 weeks. A big thank you to everyone who has help me out watching my kids. Garrett has been going over with me during the day to help her I had to laugh yesterday when he told me he had to go pee he ran over and grabbed my mom's walker to push into the bathroom just like she does before he would go to the bathroom.
I have so may projects that need to be finished I bought some block letters a while back that spell fall I just needed to sit down and paint, I figured that if I didn't just sit down and paint them fall would be over and I would not have them done. As I sat down to paint them Justin wanted to help me so I went to find another paint brush for him and then Garrett was right there saying paint mom, paint mom so I had two great little helpers! Or maybe not???
Paint and a two year old don't really mix all that well. After we had finished I left them on the table to dry. Justin and I went to do his homework I look up and the next thing I know Garret has a bottle of paint and is opening it. I yell at him to put it down and he takes off running. I run to the kitchen to get it from him...to late there is already yellow paint all over the floor. I still love him most of the time!
Disneyland
Sorry about the very long post and the even longer wait! We had a blast! Justin left Heber with one favorite ride in Disneyland and came home with eighteen! He was so cute after getting off every ride he would say now I have two favorite rides and then now I have three favorite ride and so on clear up to eighteen! Garrett was just so fascinated by the characters he would get so excited! We flew into the Long Beach Airport and headed to the beach we met the Dagleys there and the kids had a great time!
After spending hours at the beach and Mike and I getting really sunburned we decided to leave and go check into our hotel! The first thing Justin wanted to do was go swimming so Mike took both kids swimming again!
The next day we were off to Disneyland the first thing we saw when we got into Disneyland was Goofy. Garrett couldn't believe it he just kept saying mom Foofy, Foofy, Foofy it was so cute to see his excitement
After getting Goofys autograph we headed to tomorrow land last time we went to Disneyland the Buzz Light year ride was Justin's favorite ride so that is what he wanted to ride first. When we got there we saw Buzz Light year!
I think the Buzz Light year ride is still Justin's most favorite ride! He also enjoyed splash mountain he thought it was quite funny when Grandpa and Grandma got soaked and him and Mike hardly got wet at all. After riding on Splash Mountain we seen Brer Fox and Brer Bear these two put on quite a show, they were being so silly, Justin was getting quite a kick out of them! The whole time they were signing Garrett's book and he was getting his picture taken he had to be touching one of them. We were all laughing at him!
In California Adventure they have a Disney Pixar parade that was started off with Lightning McQueen and ended with Mater what was not to love! They also have a part of the park that is A bugs life complete with a 3-D movie with flick and hopper from the movie. At the first of the movie a butterfly flies out in front of your face and Justin was trying to reach out to grab it! When the movie is over flick tells you to stay seated so all the bugs can leave the theater then the seat starts to move like the bugs are walking on your butt. As we got up to leave Garrett was saying "tickle" it was pretty funny!
Both kids loved Mickey and Minnie Mouse's house and Garrett was so excited when we finally made it through the line to see Mickey Mouse! I think that was the highlight of his trip!
We had so much fun in the Happiest Place on earth it was a little sad to have to come home. But we have some great memories
