Ridiculous

Yes, my lack of posting has been RIDICULOUS! My family members have stopped calling and telling me to update my blog. I think everybody has given up, but I'm going to try to revive this thing! I thought about doing a Thanksgiving post or something and pretending like nothing ever happened, but decided against it. Here goes the Clark family update over the last 4 months:

August:

- Started coaching cross country at OC (which I LOVE, but has probably contributed to my lack of posting.)

- Went to New Mexico for XC training camp

September:

- Went to XC meets

- Took a vacation to Boston with Michael

- Ran my first 5K since Macy was born

October:

- Became an Aunt again! Charles Clifton Wright III (Tripp) was born!

- More XC meets

- Saw TEXAS beat OU in football! Hook 'em!

- Celebrated 4 years of marriage

- Celebrated my 1/2 birthday

- Went trick or treating with Macy for the 1st time

November:

- Went to Lubbock for our conference XC meet

- Went to OU/A&M game

- Traveled to Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA for national XC meet (missed Jay's 2nd birthday party - sorry!)

- Celebrated Thanksgiving in Edmond with Thanksgiving Day in the City

- Went to Kasey and Ashley's wedding in Ft. Worth

Macy's 1st Haircut

Bye, bye baby mullet!! Well, it was kind of a cross between a mullet and a rat tail, but either way it's GONE!!! I really had a hard time letting go and getting her hair cut, but after several comments from friends and family members, I decided it was time. I told my good friend Meredith that I was just going to chop the mullet off myself, but she very sweetly said that probably wasn't the best idea. (Which I'm so glad she did, because we probably would have had to buzz Macy's hair when I was finished with it! Thanks for the intervention, Meredith! :) Anyway, we were so thankful for Haley cutting Macy's hair for us. She did a great job and it took no time at all. Michael held Mace, we put on a 'Little Einstein' DVD and gave Macy a plastic wrench and she was good to go. Here are a few pics that Meredith took for us while I ran the video camera.

Our conversation on the way into church this morning:

Me: Hey Honey, where is Macy's diaper cover?

Michael: That dress didn't have one.

Me: Yes it did.

Michael: Well, I didn't see one when I got her dressed.

Me: It's new, so it should have been attached to the inside of the dress...

...and it still was. Michael put Macy's dress on, diaper cover still attached and all, and never noticed. Macy, your Daddy may struggle dressing you sometimes, but he sure does love you girl. :)
