tiger poop and chickens...

Ethan's first time at the dentist was yesterday. It went really well.

Not surprising really. I mean what do you expect from a four-year-old that is obsessed with flossing and brushing his teeth.

It's kind of annoying actually. It just means more work for me.

Its like with washing his hands. He washes them ALL the time. And he insists on singing the entire ABC song while washing. Every single time. Thanks a lot Disney for teaching my kid proper hygiene.

Anyway, back to the dentist visit. E loved it.

No cavities. Even better.

His only complaint: "The toothpaste smells like tiger poop."

The dentist was really impressed with how well he did. For a spilt second I felt like a semi-good mom. But I guess I really have his preschool to thank.

Recently he went on a field trip to the dentist with his class (which he talked about hourly for 3 weeks before the actual day. Why do they do this, tell a kid something exciting is coming up...in 21 days. Don't they think about us poor parents?) E obviously loved the whole tour they received from the Dentist. As it came to an end, the Dental Assistant said, "Ok, now does anyone have any questions?"

Ethan promplty shot up his hand and asked, "Why does the chicken cross the road?"

A completely insightful question, don't you think?

hello world...

I. Want. This.

Actually, I think it's safe to say...

I. NEED. This.

Imagine, easily adding precious square footage to our squashed space.

It's gorgeous. And brilliant. And everything else.

(found here)

I'm working on Jon, to work on his Dad, to come and build it.

I've even considered putting in a mini fridge and a/c in it.

Then the boys could live out there.

Jon just suggested boarding school may be cheaper.

Harsh, I know.

But come on people, we live in 900 square feet and we are quickly adding to our shoe pile...

The girls in this family like orange, I guess. Or I just have NOTHING pink. Yet.

(if you don't follow, yes we are adding to the chaos and yes it's a girl, due in July.)

dear blog...

...I know I've neglected you. I admit it.

My deepest apologies.

But there's just no way you can compete with the mess we've been in.

I'm sorry.

Maybe one day soon we can rekindle our friendship.

Until then...

seriously...

Want to know the best part about an oil change?

Windshield. Wiper. Fluid.

6,000 miles later (yep, that's 3,000 miles over),

and...

I CAN SEE.

a plea from ethan and will...

"Hey, Tour, give us our parents back. Please."

Glued to the tv watching the Tour is where we start our
 day. Every. Single. Morning.

Ok, well, Jon is glued to the Tour.

I'm mostly just glued to Lance.

laziness at it's finest...

To our dear, wonderful swimming pool (aka seven peaks):

We have missed you. Desperately.

The boys have been sick.

Ethan had to get stitches. Again.

AND,
all it does is rain.

Needless to say, we've been pretty lazy.

I am so incredibly sick of it.

But we will be there shortly. The weather forecast is looking pretty fabulous.

Love,

Three devoted swimmers longing for a reunion

Oh, and this is what I'll be doing this weekend...

Sure hope I don't die. I'd hate to miss out on the pool.
