Ethan's first time at the dentist was yesterday. It went really well.
Not surprising really. I mean what do you expect from a four-year-old that is obsessed with flossing and brushing his teeth.
It's kind of annoying actually. It just means more work for me.
Its like with washing his hands. He washes them ALL the time. And he insists on singing the entire ABC song while washing. Every single time. Thanks a lot Disney for teaching my kid proper hygiene.
Anyway, back to the dentist visit. E loved it.
No cavities. Even better.
His only complaint: "The toothpaste smells like tiger poop."
The dentist was really impressed with how well he did. For a spilt second I felt like a semi-good mom. But I guess I really have his preschool to thank.
Recently he went on a field trip to the dentist with his class (which he talked about hourly for 3 weeks before the actual day. Why do they do this, tell a kid something exciting is coming up...in 21 days. Don't they think about us poor parents?) E obviously loved the whole tour they received from the Dentist. As it came to an end, the Dental Assistant said, "Ok, now does anyone have any questions?"
Ethan promplty shot up his hand and asked, "Why does the chicken cross the road?"
A completely insightful question, don't you think?
