bff...

I was looking through pictures today and laughed at how many I have of the boys. But I love it. I especially love the ones I have of Ethan and Will together. I am so grateful for how close they are in age. I can already see a bond forming between them. Ethan makes Will laugh, then Will makes Ethan laugh. They love to mimic one another. Each morning, before he does anything else, Ethan runs to see Will-pop. I hope so much that this is a bond that lasts throughout their lives.

When I was at the beach a couple months ago, I saw these two women walking. If you look closely you can see that the woman on the right is resting her hand on the other woman's arm. It is such a touching image to me. It is a great reminder to me of how important relationships are. I have been blessed with great people in my life.

ok, I know, a bit sappy.

lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

We took the boys to the zoo on Tuesday. The weather was perfect, the crowds were small and the kids were awesome. Ethan was very excited to go see the tiger. It was asleep for most the time and Ethan was acting really tough. But then it poked it's head up for a second and that was all he could take (he got a little scared). He had no desire to go see the tigers again. However, he loved, loved the elephants. We had to keep going back to see them. And no big surprise, he loved the train. We had to ride it a couple times. After the zoo, we went to Gateway for lunch. At that point Ethan and Will had hit their max for the day, which made for an exhausting meal. However, Gateway is beautiful right now. The flowers are all in bloom and are gorgeous. It was a great day. Thanks everyone!

follow the prophet..(or thomas train)

Ethan is obsessed with Thomas the Train. I mean obsessed. He eats, sleeps, and breaths Thomas. Tonight for Family Home Evening we talked about the Prophet. When Jon told Ethan our new Prophet's name, Thomas S. Monson, Ethan was stoked (obviously thinking we were talking about his train). To help him commit to memory President Monson's name, we had him repeat a couple times, "Thomas S. Monson". A couple seconds later, Ethan ran over to his trains, picked up Thomas, and said, "Dad, Prophet".

finals, FINALLY!

Well, we made it! Jon is taking his first of three finals right now. Come Monday afternoon, we will have officially made it through the first year of the MBA program. One down, one to go. It really has been a great year. I kept looking forward to the 2nd year because in theory it's supposed to be easier. However, Jon has taken on so many extra things, I think it has the potential to be even more crazy. He will be directing the Business Plan Competition, which is going to take up a lot of time. It will be busy, but it will all be worth it in the end. As I keep saying, we can do anything for a year! (when we started school, I said we can do anything for two years!)

Nice work Jon!

it came, it came!

With the summer move to Virgina quickly approaching (one month away!), the need for a double stroller has been heavy on my mind. I finally found the exact one I have been wanting on ebay, for a fraction of the regular price (thanks for the lead Tiff). Once I ordered it, I could not stop talking about it. I tracked the package almost daily to make sure it was on schedule. I came home from Logan early, just to make sure I was here for the delivery man. I watched out the window all morning waiting for the FedEx truck to make his way to my house! I was super excited. Unfortunately, Ethan didn't seem to share my same excitement. He was not too happy about posing with the big stroller box.

We are super excited about the move to VA. We can't wait for the experiences we will have and the memories we will make. I can't believe how soon we leave. In honor of DC, we frequent the park by our house with a Washington Monument look-a-like. It will have to do until we leave.

kids say the darndest...

We had an "Idol Gives Back" (which actually turned out to be pretty dumb) party this week. It was fun to hang out with Ashlie's girls.

The girls gave us quite the laugh. They just got a new dog and when I went to their house earlier in the day, he wasn't home.

We asked, "hey guys, where's your dog?"

They said, "at a sleepover...*gasp* with a girl!" Then very matter of fact Molly said, "They want her to have babies."

sadie, molly, ellie, hills, me

BTW: I'm bummed Michael Johns went home.
