4th of July

Last minute we decided to head to New Port to meet up with Nana, Papi, and Aunt Michelle for the 4th of July.  It was a cold day on the beach but of course we still had so much FUN!

The kids loved playing in the SAND and there was absolutely NO FIGHTING the WHOLE day!
McKay was learning how to crawl but couldn't make it very far.  It was kind of nice because he just stayed on the blanket and played with toys!  He also took a nice three hour nap on the beach in his pack and play!

We drove down in 3 and a half hours and had absolutely NO TRAFFIC through LA,
which was AMAZING!  Glad we got to see more family.  So glad the trip went so smoothly!

Living with Two Two year olds!

I thought maybe I should write a little about living with two two year olds.  Really having twins gets a little more challenging (harder) as they get older!  But a lady at the park said, "well until they go to school, then it is easy!"   It is kind of crazy when I go to the park because it seems like I always meet someone at the park with twins.       It has been really fun though getting to know other Moms that have twins.

Brooke and Rhead are now two-and-a-half so things are kind of getting better.  First off they are pool safe which has been such a wonderful thing.  They can swim and take breaths and now I don't have to get in the pool every time they want to swim.  Secondly Brooke is making progress with being potty trained.  Rhead is a little more challenging.  I am  HOPING that we can be potty trained by the end of August.  I have just been focusing more effort with Brooke.  She is doing a good job but really has to be naked to remember to go.  When she is fully dressed she forgets that she has underwear on.

They are starting to communicate better.  The only problem though is now they fight and know how to push each other's buttons.  And when one has a crazy idea they both do it.  For instance, when one throws a rock into the pool the other will follow.  So instead of just a few rocks in the pool it is several. Or when one gets out of their room before bed time the other will follow.  Or if one doesn't get out of bed at night then the other will take the next night.  So each night we have to deal with one or the other twin being bad and having to be put back into bed.  It just gets soooooooooooo tiring.  Justin and I have given up on doing any kind of EXTRA working out because we are already so tired with taking care of brooke and rhead.  We never get any sleep because it seems by the time they finally fall asleep they are already waking up asking for "CEROL".  This has been our biggest challenge in balancing naps and bedtime.

You'd think that having two two year old that they would have so much fun together ALL the time, but really it is only some of the time.  It is fun to watch them swim together.  They do have fun MOST of the time when they are swimming.  I really want to post a swimming video soon if I can ever get it done.

The kids

Brooke loves to hold the kitty!  One got eaten so now there is only COCO left.
Brooke loves to have her purse wherever she goes!

Thanks to Pinterest we have been making a lot of fun things!  The boys in their rocket packs!

Rhead usually wakes up and goes to hold the kitty.  He also loves to sleep in the "swing".

When I change McKay I have to fight him to let go of his toes.  He just loves SUCKING on his toes whenever I change his diaper.  He laughs soooo hard when I try to get him to let go of his toes!  It is his favorite game!
 The boys and the MOHAWK!

We have been enjoying our summer with LOTS of swimming and lots of BBQing!
We have been enjoying FINALLY having our DADDY on the weekends!  It has been so wonderful to have Saturdays FINALLY ALL TOGETHER!!!

Carden's first stitches

The ups and downs.
Justin gets sworn in to be an attorney and this time Carden goes to the ER for STITCHES!

Carden sadly fell on the steps by our pool and split his chin open.  He had to go to ER and get FOUR stitches.  It was so sad.  The doctors kept saying "OHHH were you running around the pool?"  Carden wasn't running.  He was being a good boy!  He just fell on the steps while still holding his towel around himself.  His hands weren't free.  It was so sad, but Carden was brave.  Rhead and Brooke were so concerned.  We kept it nice and clean!

June-Justin Sworn In!

Since blogger has changed I have been less motivated to blog.  I wonder if a lot of people feel that way because a lot of people are slowing down with keeping up on their blogs.  I am going to start blogging once a month seeing things are crazy.  I just hope each month to recap what has been going on in our life.

June flew by.  Justin passed the Bar then was sworn in on June 1st.  It feels so good to be finally done with the whole studying thing.  Actually I shouldn't say that because Justin now says studying for the BAR was easier than his job now which requires CONSTANT studying and doing EVERYTHING in every part of LAW!!!!  But he is enjoying it, especially with the attorneys he works with.  The Firm is so nice and we like where we are at.
