Wilson Diamonds

Well last night was my last shift at Wilson's! It was pretty sad to leave knowing I wouldn't be back for a long time. That job has been such a blessing for Marin and I. It allowed us to earn good money, save a lot, and go to school year round. I graduated in 3 short years from BYU, largely due to the fact that we loved my job at Wilson's and could go to school while working part time.

Mostly I'll miss the people there. I've been there for over two and half years, so some of the people there I've known most of my BYU life, and we've grown to be really, really good friends.

Richard has office parties at his house often and he gave us a little farewell party the other night, with a few other couples that are leaving. We took this picture to show how "baby crazy" people are at Wilson's. Just in the last year there has been 7 babies born to employees or their wives! This is a picture of Katie Taylor and Joseph, Marin Sweeney and Carden, Hailey and Jake, and Katie Corrigan and Boston. Jerry and Ashley also have a little girl named Sara who is so cute, but they had already left, so they weren't in the picture.

Anyways...we'll miss Wilson's a lot and have loved our time there.

SHOTS!!!

Carden was so good about his shots. He cried but as soon as I picked him up he didn't make a peep. The rest of the day he was kicking, standing, cooing, and smiling. He completely wore himself out! So he took a little nap on Daddy's lap :)

For the Record

Just some things to record
Carden was born April 5, 2008
weight: 8lbs.
height: 21 inches
head: 35.5cm

On his three day appointment
weight: 7.14
height: 21"
head: 35.5cm

On his 16 day appointment
weight: 8.4
height: 21.5"

On his 2 month
weight: 11.15
height: 23.5
head: 40.5

Carden was slow gaining weight and it was rough having to go to the doctor's each week to see if he was gaining. It is so nice now to not have to worry if he is eating enough. He is such a good baby. He is always smiling. When we go out Carden will smile at everyone especially the girls! He is so shy though. He will smile and then turn his head acting all embarrassed. It is so cute!

Carden Update

We went to the doctor's office this morning for Carden's 4-month check up. Here's the latest...

Weight - 15lbs 5oz (60th percentile...up from 40th!)
Length - 25 inches (55th percentile...same)
Noggin - 17 inches (75 percentile!!! scary he's going to have my head!)

This week he also rolled over tummy to back, and is getting really good at going both ways now! The doctor said if he's doing that at less than 4 months he must be strong and coordinated...must get that from Marin! He's already got Marin's tight, firm body! :)

Dream Car -- Jaguar XF

That's Marin staring at me and my beautiful car! :)

So Marin is always saying she wants a Toyota Sienna, so if she can have that...Do you think she'd let me get this? :)

I've never liked Jaguars before, but how can you not like this one?

Basketball is LIFE!!

So in the process of moving Marin has forced me to toss some of my old basketball t-shirts. Most of them are XL or XXL so I can't wear them anyway. They're made for 6' 8" huge bball players, which I am not! I've kept some of them for over 10 years now because I had to "earn" each one and each has a story behind it. So permit me to relive the past a little here...

- The AAU State Championship shirts are from winning the AAU tournament 3 summers in a row!
- The Suns Steve Nash jersey...Need I say more! (Provo City League Champs!)
- The "Toro 24" shirts are from playing at Mountain View (which was ranked by Sports Illustrated as one of the "Top 25 High School Athletic Programs in the Nation")
- The white Nike jersey by my feet is from my Arizona Stars team that was coached by Danny Ainge (we scrimmaged the AZ stars team the year ahead that featured Channing Frye who now plays for the Portland Trail Blazers...yeah, we got killed)
- The AZ Stars team morphed into "East Side" and Danny got us sweet uni's from Adidas cuz he had some contract with them at the time. (He's the one that got me hooked on my Pro G Model basketball shoes)
- My Toro practice jersey is in the corner. (blood, sweat and tears!)
- My "Spring Classic" shirt right above that...I was invited to play in a "AZ Top-15" game the summer before my senior year.
- Las Vegas "Holiday" tourney...I won MVP our last game there.
- My "East Valley Champs" t-shirt from when we won region (and beat Lee Cummard's team 3 times in a month to reclaim #1 ranking in AZ...too bad we lost in the playoffs to the team that ended up winning it all!)

Anyway, it's just a game...but I LOVE it!
