Shelby is 14!

I can hardly believe it, but on November 19th, Shelby turned 14!  I honestly do not know where the time has gone...I sure wish I could slow it down a little bit!

We are so blessed to have Shelby as our daughter.  She brings such a light and joy into our family.  She has always been such a happy girl, and to see her growing into such a wonderful young lady brings us such happiness!

Our beautiful birthday girl

Shelby decided on having only her closest friends this year.  Here are some of the girls decorating picture frames.

Of course, a party isn't a party without FOOD!!!

Shelby has been very into zebra print lately, and when I saw these adorable slipper socks, I couldn't resist.  Do you think she likes them?!?

A new ihome...quite the upgrade from the 'boom boxes' of my generation!

You're never too old for candles and singing!

Warm hot fudge brownie sundaes in waffle bowls...YUMMY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHELBY!!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!

Oh, Happy Day!

November 5, 2010....a very happy day for the Rosier family!  My baby brother, Ryan, was married to his sweetheart, Jennifer, in the Orlando Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We are so happy for both of them, and wish them an eternity of happiness together!

It was a VERY windy and cold day...apparently Ryan brought the Idaho cold with him to Florida!  :)

Here are the cousins trying to stay warm waiting outside the temple
Abby, Brandon, Tyler, Shelby, Emily, and Justin
(Alyssa was keeping close to mom and dad)

Here come the happy couple!

Ryan and Jennifer with Kathryn, her 2-year-old daughter

LOVE this!

Halloween 2010

Coming up with good Halloween costumes is getting a bit trickier every year now that the girls are growing up.  No more running to the Disney store for a princess gown!

This year we had a couple of different decades represented...

Emily went as a "hippie"

Shelby went as an 80's teenager
(We had fun looking through Travis' old yearbooks to show her "real" 80's teenagers!)

 (love the blue eye shadow...NOT!!!)

And our beautiful Abby went as a School Witch.

(Here's her "mean" witch face)

All of our beauties ready to Trunk-or-Treat at church!

The Cougars Came to Town!

Back in September, the BYU Cougars came to Tallahassee to play the FSU Seminoles.  It had been a LONG time since I was able to see them play in person, and we were so excited to take the girls to a game.  The night before, there was a fireside where a few members of the team spoke, coach Bronco Mendenhall spoke, and the entire team sang (talk about amazing!).  It was a great night.  Here are a few pictures from Friday night...

One of the Cougar buses...

The girls with a couple of cute cougars!  :)

Saturday morning was a warm (of course!), but beautiful day!  We got our Cougar shirts on, our faces "tattooed" and headed off to an alumni tailgate party before heading over to the game...

I think these guys might have been trying to make it onto the big screen...ya think?!?

Our good friends from Naples (and fellow alumni), Steve and Donna Thompson.

Our family with "Cosmo Cougar."

A shot with the cheerleaders and dancers!

We used Travis' season tickets from work, so we were surrounded by a sea of garnet and gold!   But at least we made it into the shaded part of the stadium...the "visitors section" was in the blistering sun for the entire game!

Team huddle before the game started...

Although the Cougars lost, we had such a fun time!  Hopefully if they ever make it back to the east coast we can go again!

School Stuff

The girls have all been very busy so far this school year with lots of activities and projects.  Here are a few things they have been up to...

Emily studied Native Americans, and was assigned to do a project on the Inuit tribe (also known as Eskimos, although this is a negative term to them which I did not know before helping with this project).
She did a great job!

A close-up of her hard work!

As a 5th grader, Abby participated in the DARE program at school.  Here she is with her graduation certificate and t-shirt.

In Social Studies, Abby has been learning about the Civil War.  As a culminating project, she had to make a "Road Map to the Civil War" which showed the events which led up to the war.  She did a great job on her project!  Her teacher asked to keep hers to show to future classes--way to go, Abby!

 Close-up...

Shelby is still active in band.  Here she is with the 8th grade marching band in the Boston (Georgia) parade.  (She's the one in the middle of the picture who is trying not to smile!)

I am so proud of each one of my girls!  Travis and I are so blessed!

Emily's 9th Birthday

This year Emily's birthday was on a Saturday, so we were able to enjoy the whole day celebrating!

We started the day by letting Emily pick a present to open.  Since she already knew what one of them was, she chose that one...

...new Converse tennis shoes to wear to her party!

Our happy bowler!   :)

Lots of friends to help Emily celebrate!

Emily chose to have a "brownie cake" for her party this year...yum!

After the party, we headed over to Valdosta to the "Smok'n Pig BBQ"--one of our favorites!!!

Emily LOVED her BBQ ribs!

Then it was back home for more presents and more cake!

A new purple, sparkly scarf!

A ladybug pillow pet...her #1 request!

More sweets!

 Making a wish!

I cannot believe our baby girl is nine!  Last year in the single digits!
We love you, Emily!
