Guess who turned 32!!

So yesterday was Mitchell's Birthday. We had so much fun! We went to lunch at Trio and then drove down to the guy candy store. (Harley Davidson factory in Lindon)
On our way home we decided to stop at the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. I think that it is more for Children but we had a good time still.

One year Anniversary dinner

So we had our 1 year Anniversary. We both took the entire week off of work so that we could just spend some time together and it has been heaven! Mitch took me to the Roof for our Anniversary. Neither of us had been and it was incredible! He asked if we could sit across from the temple, the night just couldnt have gotten any better.

I finally got to see one of my best friends Nicole and her little baby Ry. He was so good!! It was so much fun to see her!

Rumbi Island VooDoo Chicken Salad

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SALAD!! I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM GOOD THINGS UTAH.

VOODOO CHICKEN SALAD:
4 OZ SPRING MIX LETTUCE ( I LIKE TO ADD ROMAINE AS WELL)
1 OZ FETA CHEESE
1 OZ DICED TOMATO
2 OZ VOODOO DRESSING
PINCH OF FRIED TORTILLA STRIPS
1 BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST GRILLED AND CUBED

MIX TOGETHER AND SERVE

VOODOO DRESSING
1/4 C DIJON MUSTARD
1 T FRESH LIME JUICE
2 TSP CHILI PASTE
1 TSP CRUSHED RED PEPPER
3/4 C LITE MAYO
3 C SESAME OIL
1/2 C RICE WINE VINEGAR
1/2 SOY SAUCE
1/2 C WHITE SUGAR. (I HAVE USED SPLENDA AND CAN'T TASTE A DIFFERENCE)
2 T MINCED GARLIC
1 T MINCED GINGER

THIS MAKES A TON OF DRESSING, I WOULD RECOMMEND CUTTING THIS IN HALF ATLEAST. :)

GO to the mall!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so I probably shouldnt be posting this but I need you to go to the mall as soon as possible. Go to a Dillards, Macy's or Nordstrom as fast as you can. There was a class action lawsuit that requires those 3 stores to give free merchandise to people who bought cosmetics with in the last 7 years or something like that. Basically you go in and sign your name and they either give you a freebe or you can pick one from a certain vendor. It doesnt last long but I know supplies at Nordstrom atleast are going very quickly. Just thought I would mention it! We have been very busy with people coming in and getting the free product.

Resolutions! 2009

Last year was amazing! I got married to my best friend, moved out and started a totally new life. This year I am so excited to see what will happen! I was encouraged by my St. manager to set some realistic goals this year. I have really thought about it and these are what I have come up with. I hope that this year will be different and just maybe I can KEEP one of these. One of my friends, I think it was Nicole said that her New Years Resolution a couple of years ago was to gain weight!
This year I really want to cut back on my random spending! It is so hard working at Nordstrom! Whenever you see something cute, the natural reaction is..... with my discount, that is practically free!

This year I really want to learn to sew. I got a sewing machine from my parents and I couldnt be more excited! Mitch said, yea... now our socks wont have our toes sticking out anymore.

Wow, isnt this always on the list! I really want to not look like this dude. Go carrots!!!

This might be my favorite place on earth. I would love to take Mitch here for our Anniversary hopefully!

I love love love to cook. I would love to find a way to expand my cooking options this year. Maybe take some challenging classes to help me learn more!

This is a biggie! I want to learn to love cleaning and being more organized.
