cos we live in an escapist's world.
anaesthesia- loss of feeling, awareness, sensation.
cos we prefer to ignore, rather than accept.
running away, hiding from the truth is always easier than facing it.
cos we use distraction as a way of fooling ourselves.
if you could go back in time, what would you change?

just so tired.
sometimes you'll realise that your beliefs and values changes with the passing of time. that's normal i'm sure, it's part of growing.
things you experience will change the way you think and how you act in situations.
will feel this tinge of.. how do you say, regret, when you realise that some things you firmly believed in in the past are proved wrong by events in the present. but then, that doesn't mean that your initial beliefs were useless; i'm sure they were justified at that point of time.
no one's saying that things forever remain static.
so when clashing values can be felt, how does one get out of it?

I'm super amused right now by this boy I met. I think I somehow have this natural connection with special needs children? This sec 2 boy was asking a question out loud at raffles place mrt station and we started chatting. Hahaha super funny cos it sounded like one of the typical conversations i'll be having with the students at pl. I'm quite convinced that he has autism/asperger's cos
1) our conversation was sparked off by his qns about mrt
2) he made particular mentions to buses, mrts and time in our conversation
3) I attempted eye contact and yep, he didnt make direct eye contact
And that's other than the most obvious signal of his school uniform.
Oh and the first few things he said was "you're very pretty", with the behaviourism of pl students. It's like how we used to laugh with aitc ppl when they have social skills lesson on the topic of praising ppl. Hahaha makes me laugh thinking about it! Afterwards he solemnly explained to me that it's nice to praise people cos they'll feel happy. Sounds familiar, no? Anyway, had a nice chat about school and all that, makes me miss pl students! After he dropped off at redhill, I realised that I should have warned him against speaking to strangers, because not every stranger is as nice as me! Do hope his teachers teach that during social skills..
Hahahaha so that's a very weird but fun conversation to start my day! :)

If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world
can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made
for another world.
