From hay to chocolate!
Another few-liner post. Been busy, yet I want to jot down things in my life these days, in case I forget hehe.
People ask me, why I so busy when I seem like i'm slacking? hahaa. Yes, but it seems impossible to complete all the tasks, without compromising sleep at all.
Yr3 life is not very fun, esp. when I find DFD2 lectures so terribly dry and sleep-inducing. I REALLY wanted to listen to every word he said. Nothing compared to Pharm Prac n MicroB last sem, for which I fared badly in though. Haha results certainly did not reflect my interests.
I woke up to the alarm at 7.30am today, vaguely thought that I must be still dreaming (cos it's too early a time to wake up) and "willed" myself to lie down on the bed again. Woke up in a frenzy at 8.05am, after finding out in my dream that I wasnt dreaming at all. Rushed to shampoo and bathe and dashed down the slopes of NUS to finally reach LT31 at 8.40am -_-
That's hostel life for you. Hahaha. I need more sleep and naps.
Splurged on hair again. From a hay colour bumblebee to chocolatey ant. As the hairstylist blow-dried my hair, I realised for a fleeting moment, that I missed brown =)

OMG! HCA BLOG!
Ya the title says it all!
CSC HCA has our very own blog now, proudly set up by Melvin!! Though it's in its early stages now (in need of posts), it's alr looking splendid! Just cant contain my excitement! Thank you Melvin!!

Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant and 香記燒臘??
Went to try out Wah Lok with my family last last sunday. Dad's recommendation.
Ooh, dimsum was kind of heavenly, though the sweet pastries tasted better than the steamed/savoury dimsum(s).
Such cute buns that looked like mini bloating sausages
The whole family thot that Mum is a strange person cos for some reason, she doesnt like to eat siew mai at all. -_-. The reason she gave was, "it has too much meat in it". -.- Got prawn inside also mah!
Steamed dumplings are always nice!
Pretty Maggie, whom I've decided not to call her 大嫂 until she turns 30. Cos she said so herself!
As u can see in the bg of the picture, the chairs there were really big and comfy. And if u get the by-the-window tables, u'd be busy looking out to the view out there too.
Love toothpicks which have refreshing minty tips.

Another Sunday, we went to a nearby AMK (which avenue??) hawker centre to patronise my mum's friend's hongkong 燒臘 (which disgustingly means "roasted candles" if u do direct translation...)
The very very meaty spread of food. Makes me excited. lol. I'm such a meat lover i realise. Think not many Singaporeans are that fond of 燒臘 anyway. Oh the duck and char siew is worth a try ha.

Gotta learn things fast
Been out-reaching the past 2 days.
It's time for orientation visits again. And somehow I'm quite a loss at what to do next.
It's the time when I wish I have a vice-chair or somebody to discuss things with, so that I can make better decisions. Not as if I don't trust myself enough, but I really tend to overlook alot of things and forget to step back to look at the big picture. Really, really too careless.
Am I just too used to having a leader around?
To find a new vice-chair, to form my own new capable committee, to bond freshies and volunteers, to really make a little difference to our patients' lives. People graduating, people leaving for greener pastures, people losing interest.
Dare not ask myself whether I have this passion, I guess I do, but there are days I wish I'm just a normal volunteer, and not trying to challenge myself to things that perhaps, are not... me at all.
Just plain stupid worrying about these littlest things, that nobody else'll fret over so much over because they usually find their own solutions....
Or maybe I shld just start worrying more about my studies... and stop going to lessons late.

Oei, everyone blog leh and RAG
Back from rag, and was blog-surfing just now... NOBODY except lou boon has updated their blog at all.
All hiding away during hols?
Yups Rag is finally over!!!
For this rag, I felt that I was playing qt a subsidiary role haha. I mean, being a treasurer is really nothing compared to what the rest of the Acacians were doing, i.e. Edwin as Float IC, Wanqi as Rag Head, Xinyi as Marketing Head, Wingz as Pub Head and Mdm Lee as Log IC and so on..... Many a times, if i'm not doing my accounts, I'll be hovering around hoping to help out with the float in some way or another...

Not to mention those nights we spent at the tentage.
One stormy Wed night when we woke up to RAIN at 6am, rushing to close all the "curtains" of the tentage to protect the float from getting drenched. 3 girls trying to shield the wind and block the rain while Wanqi tied nylon strings and put up the cardboards for protection.
The next night, when Edwin, Xinyi, Wanqi, Wingz and me spent the night watching NDP under the tentage together (tapping onto NUScast wireless), while munching and slurping on the homecooked food we brought again. =)
Cheese Macaroni, Octopus Balls - Xinyi
Unagi Bento - Wanqi, French Toast + Scrambled Eggs - Xinyi
Strawberry Chocolate Dessert, Homemade Ham & Cheese Bread - Xinyi
Salmon, Dumpling, Prego Sauce Spaghetti (weird combi) - Me
Spider Lilies remember? We watched the first half of the movie and then fell asleep. And Wingz watched the rest on her own laptop herself. TSKtsk. The thumbtacks. The sewing. The www.simpsonizeme.com and the Firefox add-ons.
On the 10th, we had the final full dress rehearsal, and then it was lights out at 9pm. -_-. Yes, cos it was too early, none of us managed to slept. I had interrupted sleep from 12.30am-1.30am, b4 trudging to LT33 to prepare breakfast for the dancers and helpers.
5.30am. We reached Padang. Wingz had a liking for curling tongs and proceeded to help the dancers curl their hair. Us either stoned or napped on the cardboard lying around everywhere. Dry run and prejudging took the whole morning till 1pm.... Ooh waiting was both boring and stress-building haha.
Wait wait wait in the hot sun till 5pm. The float and side props moved towards the performance area...
and yes 5.53pm was the finale item - Us!
....
Yes it all turned out well =)
The dance went fine. The feedback from others was good: the music arrangement was good, our theme was unique. Most imptly, it was our dept's first time sending a float for Rag Performance - creating history!

A job well done, pharmers! 3 cheers for u all! Happy that we managed to pull everything off. (though Science Club probably hates us to the core for trying to be "exclusive" ahhaha.)

And that sums up the rest of my hols too. =( Went for school today, and the mods are really hard, as warned by the seniors that this sem's the hardest in pharm. Lots of self-study ahead. Puiiiiii.
But luckily there's always Acacia to share things with, happy or not =).

今次香港之遊， 真係好好玩，又relaxing。 好似乜嘢煩嘢都拋開一邊咁，乜都唔理。只係 concentrate on shopping and eating! 勁爆！連starhub 都幫我，no auto-roaming =冇人煩! =)
只衰係凈係7日！ 不過有WingHang陪就已經補翻數啦！

1）旺角中心 （好平！重可講價！好耶！）
2）郎豪坊（係真係幾＂豪＂嘅～，啲衫全部都好鬼貴－HK$250 一條爛臭裙）
3）聯合廣場 （買到鞋wor)
4）花園街/通菜街 （幾辛苦先買到個靚靚denim bag俾媽咪， 真係good taste)

旺角Neway 唱ktv 一唱就唱5粒鐘，唔唱嗰陣重可以check 下email, surf net, play xbox. 好掂！3-in-1!
Next,過到對面海嘅－香港島 HongKong Island！嗰邊乜都貴啲，因為鋪租，房價都值錢好多！
Which means,啲衫都唔係幾買得落手。 點都好啦，都要去， 多得意嘢咧嗰道 ＝）
第一站：金鐘 admiralty
第二站：銅鑼灣 causeway bay
1） 搭叮叮 （電車tram)
由金鐘坐到銅鑼灣，只要HK$1，便可以坐係叮叮上吹吹（熱）風， 一面癱，一面欣賞風景同影相。
學人拍mtv，影postcard相。。。 muahahhaha.似足country pumpkin tourist.
2) SoGo － 無乜嘢買，名牌實在太貴！
3) 金百利商場 － 好多good店呀！比旺角貴，不過 of better quality! 多數window shopping， 同埋又買鞋！
睇住我食大雞臂...and 食蛋tart... 不過全都係假嘅食物 （stuffed toys)，勁搞鬼！
4）時代廣場 Times Square
有 Citysuper同埋好多名牌。。。 又有第一次食Krispy Kreme嘅experience. So many different flavours to choose from! 最鐘意嘅Cappucino cream!
帶翻去Yishun竟然冇人食cappucino cream，真係wasted! 可能係 melted that’s why. Aiya, cannot judge by appearances mah. Lol in the end 我同媽咪食咗落肚, 好味好味！
新界 –
1) 沙田 – 新城市廣場, 沙田廣場 etc.
It’s shopping 掃貨 time! =) And eating time! 香港嘅桌抬特別細， 成一叫一兩樣嘢就 a Tableful of Food! 仲有 Winghang’s favourite - 西多士～
2) 屯門
兒家每一次翻香港, 都一定住係姨媽屋企。雖然屋仔細細，但都ok, now有咗西鐵, 都幾方便。
有時就同姨媽去飲茶， 明星酒家啲點心都唔錯！飲早茶，只要11.30 前埋單， 就平好多。小點係 HK$4.80 onwards, 兩人埋單唔使HK$70, 好抵！ 好飽！
其實係香港食乜都好食，無倫係茶餐廳或酒樓或快餐店，都搵到好嘢食。
大家樂快餐店嘅一哥焗豬扒飯 is one good example, 加上羅宋湯， 一流！A pity that I forgot to bring my camera when I ate them that day.
凍檸茶 ＝）Another favourite. 一杯合格嘅凍檸茶係要至少五片檸檬，跟住要大力 "dook"with the spoon given. Must "dook" until all the lemon goodness (juice) comes into the tea... = LEMON TEA
許留山嘅芒果爽係大熱天下飲亦係人生一大享受 =D
就算係街邊嘅燒賣及咖哩魚蛋，都足以滿足我哋嘅胃口！
非常想念姨媽嘅囉囉唆唆， 也非常想念香港。。。有陣時真係好想回去長住， 哈哈。
係哩嗰假期中，發現自己不但唔太體貼，還非常不emo. 好多事可能會唔開心一陣， 不過好快就拋到一邊唔去想就冇事啦！只要自己好過，又唔影響到別人，大家開開心心，不就好囉？ =)
壞處係我經常疏忽好多，人對我好，我可能唔太領情， 還會覺得煩，想還是不要欠人太多，免得別人永完都得不到應有嘅回報。
