Michael's 5th Birthday

We decided to celebrate Michael's birthday a week early since we may be out of town next week on his actual birthday. For some reason, he is totally into Iron Man and wanted an Iron Man birthday cake. I'm not sure where he even heard about Iron Man. We do have the movie, but he has never seen it. Crazy. Anyway, here is my attempt at an Iron Man birthday cake. Happy Birthday, buddy! (Even if it is a week early!)

Happy 7th Birthday!

So today is Makenzie's 7th birthday. I don't have a picture of a really cool cake, because all she wanted was a "rumble" cake. For those of you that don't know, that is Makenzie speak for a rum cake. We went to Lagoon on Thursday, and she was tall enough to ride most of the big rides, and she did. She rode Wicked, Colossus and the big white roller coaster. She loved them all and couldn't decide which one was her favorite. She also really liked the Spider and the Bat. She was mad at the end of the night when we were leaving because she only got to ride the Bat one time. It's amazing how fast kids grow up. Just yesterday she was a baby, wasn't she? Anyway, Happy Birthday, Makenzie. We love you!

Really??

So we just added a foster baby to our family about a month ago. Yep, the girl who was done at 3 added another, albeit possibly temporary, child. She is adorable. She is 7 weeks old today, and we knew about her the day after she was born, she just had to hang out in the hospital for a while because she was a 5 week preemie. We sure are getting to love her, and hope that everything works out for the best. Here's to Baby Z!

18 Years.....

So today is our 18th anniversary. It's hard to believe that it has been that long. Time just flies so fast! We have a stronger bond now than we did when we were first married, even though I didn't think that was possible at the time. Love definitely changes and evolves over time, and it's like that Brad Paisley song says,

"And now you're my whole life
now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
Like a river meets the sea,
stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then"

This says it perfectly. Happy Anniversary!

A LONG time!!!

Well, it's been forever since I have blogged about anything. Life is pretty much the same as usual. I have applied for a job with JetBlue, but haven't heard anything as of yet. The kids are getting bigger every day. Michael had his 4th birthday in September and Emma had her 3rd birthday in October. So, the slacker that I am, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY EMMA and MICHAEL!!!
I can't believe how time just seems to speed up. The older I get, the faster it goes! Anyhow, I hope to be on top of the blogging a little better this year, but I'm not going to promise anything! :)

More Firsts....

Here is another first, Makenzie lost her first baby tooth today! I can't believe we are already at that stage! Man, time flies! It seems like it was just yesterday that she was getting her first tooth and we waited forever for it to come in, and now she is starting to lose them. Our baby is growing up!!

A week of firsts

So this has been a week of firsts at our house. Makenzie started all day school, and loved it. Mom had a hard time with it, I missed her a lot. The biggest first of all is that Kenny started college. Yep, you read that right. Kenny is going to the USU extension out here, and has attended 2 of his 3 classes so far. He is really liking it, and I am so glad that he is finally doing it. He has been wanting to go back to school for a long time. I think that he is going to do really well. I am proud of him.
Makenzie had her 6th birthday on the 22nd, and I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I will get pictures of my school kids and the cake posted soon.
