More Firsts....
Here is another first, Makenzie lost her first baby tooth today! I can't believe we are already at that stage! Man, time flies! It seems like it was just yesterday that she was getting her first tooth and we waited forever for it to come in, and now she is starting to lose them. Our baby is growing up!!

A week of firsts
So this has been a week of firsts at our house. Makenzie started all day school, and loved it. Mom had a hard time with it, I missed her a lot. The biggest first of all is that Kenny started college. Yep, you read that right. Kenny is going to the USU extension out here, and has attended 2 of his 3 classes so far. He is really liking it, and I am so glad that he is finally doing it. He has been wanting to go back to school for a long time. I think that he is going to do really well. I am proud of him.
Makenzie had her 6th birthday on the 22nd, and I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I will get pictures of my school kids and the cake posted soon.

Camping
So we needed to get away from the whole job hunt and subsequent rejection life for a while and decided to go camping for a few days. It was so nice to get away from all of that. Makenzie was really upset that we had to come home so that mom could go to work, she wanted to stay longer.
We went to the Nebo Loop, it was beautiful and the weather was perfect for the first 2 days. It rained most of Sunday, but it cleared up just in time for dinner, thank goodness. Hopefully Kenny will find a job soon so that we can go again. We really had a lot of fun! It is fun to go with just our little family, but we sure missed going with all of Kenny's family. Maybe we can still do that later on this year.

WOO HOO!!!
We are DONE with diapers at our house!!! WOO HOO!!! No more money being literally thrown in the the trash! This is a great day!!
I think Emma was almost as easy as Michael to potty train. I wish that I would have listened to everyone when Makenzie was little. The key really is to wait until they are ready, and then it is a breeze. So for those of you that are going to go down this road in the future, I hope that you listen better than I did and wait until they are ready! It will save you a lot of unnecessary headaches!

Anniversary
Yesterday was our 17th anniversary. I can't believe that we have been married so long! It feels like it was just yesterday somedays and somedays it feels like forever.
I have known Kenny for over half of my life now, and I still love him as much (if not more), than I did 17 years ago!
We definitely beat the odds getting married so young, and I can't imagine life any other way. I love you, Kenny! Here's to forever!

Progress!
I think Emma is finally daytime potty trained! WOO HOO!!! I HATE diapers. She still has to do diapers at night, but she hasn't had an accident in the past 5 days and she has been wearing "big girls"!!! So as a reward, we let her get her ears pierced. She has been wanting earrings for a couple of months now. She didn't even cry when she got them done. She is such a big girl now!

Excelsior Academy
Well, it's official. Makenzie is going to be attending the charter school thanks to my founding member status. I am SOOOOO excited!!! It has been a lot of work so far and will continue to be a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end. Now all I have to do is shop for her school uniforms. I have no clue where to go to get the cutest stuff, and CHEAP stuff, since I have to buy play clothes too. Any ideas would be great!! :)

Winter
I am SOOOOOO ready for winter to be over! I hate the cold, the snow and being sick! Well, I like LOOKING at the snow, I just don't like to drive in it. Emma has croup and everyone else has colds. Makenzie keeps asking if she can go play outside, but with the air quality she has been confined to the house most of the winter. We are all ready to go outside to work and play again!

Preschool
Today was Michael's first day of preschool. He gets to ride on the bus, and I think he really liked it and had a lot of fun. It's nice for me because I don't have to take him or pick him up and it's nice for him to get away from me for a couple days a week. I will have to post pictures later.

Again....
So I sprained my ankle AGAIN last night. As I was getting into our truck to go to work, I slipped in the driveway, my ankle twisted and popped, and now I'm on crutches. This really stinks for the kids and Kenny. I'm pretty slow doing things. This morning was an adventure....taking care of 3 kids when you're on crutches, interesting to say the least! I can't wait until Kenny is home to help!
