My Current Obsession - Primark Nudes Matte Eye Cream's | Review
It had been quite some time since I popped into my local Primark, but last week I decided to quickly dash in on the last ten minutes of my lunch break and as usual didn't come away empty handed. Does anyone actually ever set foot into Primark and walk away with nothing? I'd love to know because its something that never happens to me. My main reason for popping in on a whim was to pick up some more of their false nails because I'm obsessed and when it comes to falsies Primark do the best ones. Right by the nails section I saw a little stand dedicated to their new Nudes makeup range. I saw quite a few people on Instagram positing on their stories about this collection a few weeks ago, but had completely forgotten about it, so I was quite excited when I saw the collection and just knew that I had to pick something up. As I was in a rush, I didn't have the time I would have liked to have a proper browse and do some much needed swatches, but I did decide that I needed to try the Nude Matte Eye Creams and as they only cost £2.00 each, it would have been rude not too. I have to say I was really impressed, so much so that I thought I would share my first impressions of them with you all.

My Top Three High End Eyeshadow Palette's That Are Perfect For Spring
Spring is finally in the air and I couldn't be more happier! I love this time of year and it feels lovely to get outside again and not have to wear a million layers just to keep myself warm. You know that spring is almost hear when you see the daffodils starting to sprout, yesterday on my way to pick Archie up from Nursery, I even took my coat off because the sun was shining down on me and it felt wonderful. One thing that I really love with the change of the seasons, is changing up my makeup bag, for the last couple of months I've been on a beauty spending ban (the pain and struggle is real) and I've been shopping my current makeup stash. Although theres no rules as to what makeup palette you wear, I think some of my makeup is more seasonal, especially with the likes of eyeshadow and lipstick. So I had a good rummage through my eyeshadow palettes (theres a few to get through) and I picked out my top three high end ones which I think will be perfect for spring. All three are very different, but I love them all equally. So if you need a bit of inspiration for your spring makeup bag, keep on reading.

My Spring Makeup Bag Essential | Girls With Attitude Aphrodite Palette
One thing that I really look forward to this time of year has to be spring, it's just around the corner and I always think it's the time of year where we start doing a little more and can get out of the house - Although saying that most of the UK is currently snowed in, what is that all about? One thing that I love to do this time of year is to change up my makeup bag; For me spring is all about less coverage and more natural looking makeup. I'm talking about soft pinks and shimmery rose gold highlights, matte lipsticks are put to one side and out comes the lip gloss and lipsticks with beautiful satin finishes. Over the last couple of weeks, I've been slowly switching things up in my makeup bag and one makeup item that has made its way in there is the Girls With Attitude Aphrodite palette*, which I think is the most perfect palette for spring. If you're looking to switch up your makeup and want something that won't break the bank then keep on reading as I have a full review for you on this beautiful palette.

Makeup Revolution Affirmation Palette || Every Day Eyes
The first thing that appeals to me about this palette has to be the colours on offer. As some of you may know by now that when it comes to eyeshadow I'm a neutrals girl at heart and its these soft beiges, champagne pinks and mattifying browns that I tend to use for my everyday makeup and every single shade in this palette could be used to create that perfect everyday makeup look.
I really love how this palette has the perfect mix of different finishes so the different looks that you could create are endless. I'm someone who tends to gravitate towards matte finishes and the Affirmation palette has so many to choose from, including some perfect light beiges for using as a highlight to some lovely rich dark browns which I love using in my crease.
I just love how many wearable shades this palette has to offer, it really does have everything I need, especially as its now summer, I love wearing a bronzed smokey eye and the palette has so many copper and bronze shades to choose from. I also love how the Affirmation offers so much versatility as theres plenty of cool toned silvers and greys in there too. Think of a combination of all three naked palettes combined into one... Talk about my dream palette!
Like with all the other Makeup Revolution palettes that I've tried the pigmentation of these shadows are fab, although some of the lighter shades do take a little longer to build up to get the exact shade that you see in the palette. The matte shades are really soft, pigmented and blend beautifully, whilst the metallic shadows really add some dimension to your overall makeup look.
I just love this palette and everything about it. I was feeling a little stuck about what eyeshadows to take away with me on holiday next week, but taking this is definitely a no brainer as it has everything that I need. Not only does that palette have 32 shades, but the packaging is sleek, not bulky and contains a huge mirror which is just what I need for travelling.
Overall I love this palette, in the short space of time its become a new favourite. If you would like to add the Affirmation palette to your collection you can pick it up from the Makeup Revolution website for only £8.00, such a bargain!
What do you think about the Affirmation Palette? Does it catch your eye? Let me know in the comments below.

Unicorns are Real! || Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Palette
I'm pretty sure that it comes to no surprise now when I declare my love for Makeup Revolution. I honestly must sound like a broken record because I'm forever raving about the brand here on my blog, Twitter and Instagram... Obsessed I know. My obsession for the brand has grown a little more since last week as I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new Unicorns Unite Salvation Palette* (insert girly squeal here). A little while back you may remember when MR released the Mermaid vs Unicorns palette which was so popular as I think everyone including myself has a thing for mythical creatures. I'm guessing because that palette was such a success due to the amazingly themed colours included in the palette, Makeup Revolution have now brought us a palette that is dedicated to us Unicorn Fans.
Now you don't need me to tell you just how stunning and vibrant the Unicorns Unite Palette is as I'm pretty sure the pictures speak for themselves. But if you want to find out what I think makes this palette really special and why you need it in your makeup collection then be sure to keep reading.
First of all the packaging of this palette spot on and fits the unicorn theme perfectly. Usually when a palette comes in a box, I quickly dispose of it. But Makeup Revolution have really gone all out with this bright purple holographic packaging - Beautiful! The actual palette itself is the same as all the other MR Salvation palettes; A sleek shiny black casing which feels sturdy and has a great clasp and a large mirror inside which is perfect when applying the shadows. The palette contains 18 different shades of eyeshadows, 12 of them being shimmery and the other 6 having a matte finish.
The Unicorns Unite Palette definitely has a theme running through it, other than the obvious (unicorns). The colours inside are bright, bold and definitely not for the faint hearted! I think theres such an amazing choice of colours ranging from metallic blues, vibrant purples to neon pinks. The colours for me really emphasise that fantasy element to the palette and just looking at it I feel inspired to play around with colour and create some bold and daring makeup looks. What I've found and really love is that all the shades compliment each other really well, which is just what you want in any palette - So the looks that you can create are endless!
As for the actual shadows themselves I've found each shade to be highly pigmented, soft and very bendable. On the packaging it does say that 12 of the shades are shimmery and I've found them to be a good mixture of metallics and glitters. The metallic shadows are definitely the winners in the palette ; Not only are they stunning once applied, but they add so much dimension and depth to your makeup look and are like no other eyeshadow I've ever tried before.
As you can see each shades is unique and you really have so much choice when it comes colour. By no means is this an everyday eyeshadow palette for me, but I love playing around with colour and sometimes its fun wearing something a little more daring. I think this palette would be great if you like bright colours and like me are a fan of unicorns! I can just imagine the bright blues and metallic purples would look great worn during summer time, especially if you're heading off to any festivals. I've had so much fun playing around with this palette and have already some favourite shades amongst the 18. Below is a look I created using some of the purple and blue shades, but I'm thinking of showcasing my creations in a separate post using this palette - Let me know what you think?
If you're wanting to pick up the Unicorns Unite Palette, then be sure to head over to the Makeup Revolution site where they sell for £6.00 - Such a bargain! I would love to know your thoughts on this palette, let me know in the comments below.

Maggie Hunt Makeup Brushes || The Collection
Every beauty girl needs a good set of makeup brushes FACT. I think its very true what the makeup experts say and that you can have the best makeup in the world, but if you don't use the right tools you're never going to get the best out of your makeup. Over the years, especially since I started blogging I've built up quite the makeup collection, but it's only in the last year or so that I've really started to build up on my collection of makeup brushes. Let's be honest, it can be hard to find the perfect brush, and they're not exactly on the cheap side of the scale - So for me building up my brush collection has been a slow process. However in January I discovered some amazing brushes that I've fallen in love with, are well worth the money and fully recommend to anyone who's looking to build up their brush collection.
At the start of January celebrity makeup artist and aunt to the famous Pixiwoo sisters, Maggie Hunt, held a competition via Facebook to win a set of her brushes. To my amazement I was one of the lucky winners and have been using the Maggie Hunt brushes daily, I love them.
This small pointed tip brush works amazingly for getting into those really small spaces like the inner corner of your eyes. I've also been loving this brush to touch up concealer or foundation around my lip line after applying lipstick to give the appearance of a fuller lip. The brush is pretty compact so it creates those soft lines beautifully.
Out of all the brushes in the collection, this is the one that feels the softest on my face and I always enjoy using it. The bristles on this brush are dense and pick up just the right amount of powder to gently sweep across your face. I always feel like I get the perfect amount go coverage of powder when using this brush.
This rather large flat eyeshadow brush is super soft and very compact making it perfect for applying a base shadow all over the lid. The brush picks up the product beautifully making for a flawless application. I've not tried this brush with cream shadows yet, but for powder shadows it works brilliantly. This also works great at highlighting under the brow bone.
I've been loving this small slightly domed contour brush, it makes applying bronzer into the hollows of your cheeks really precise and the softness of the brush also allows your bronzer to be blended out beautifully. Out of all the brushes in the Maggie Hunt collection I would have to say that this is my favourite and would be a great edition to any makeup brush collection.
This medium sized fluffy contour brush makes blending out your eyeshadow a dream. The brush is a little on the flat side which makes a really easy and precise to get into your crease. The brush fluffs out a little towards the end which then makes it great for blending. I love the way that this brush picks up the eyeshadow and you can create a dramatic smokey eye with this brush very quickly.
This is the smallest eyeshadow brush in the collection and its perfect for layering eyeshadow on the outer or inner corners of the eyes. It's very dense and compacts a lot of product in just a few sweeps across the product. I love using this to add definition to my eye makeup look. Again like the other eyeshadow brushes its extremely soft, which makes it perfect for blending.
I've been loving using this angled eyebrow brush to create a really neutral and full looking brow. All the other eyebrow brushes in my collection tend to be a little more on the stiffer side, so I must admit it did take a little to get used to this one as it is very soft. However the softness of the brush makes you use it with a very light hand and the result is gorgeous natural looking brows.
This thin and pointed eyeliner brush is extremely dense and is perfect for applying gel liner. The tip gives you really great precision, especially to achieve that all important flick. Although this is such a thin brush, it feels very sturdy in your hands, and I feel like a have a lot of control over the brush, which is so important for doing detailed work.
This brush pretty much is what it is, it's one of those brushes that I seem to have quite a few of but never really use - Only when my brows are looking horrendous after a fidgety nights sleep. What I do like about this comb is that the actual comb is pretty long so you're able to comb your brows in one clean sweep.
This blush brush is another one of my favourites from the collection. The bristles are nicely compact and the brush feels very fluffy and is so soft on your face. I love the way this brush picks up your blusher and the domed shape makes for a flawless application. Not only is this brush great for packing on the blusher but its also works great at blending it out.
This little brush has really come in handy, especially for applying those bold red lipsticks that I've been loving. The pointed shape of this brush really allows you to get a precise line when lining your lips and again the bristles feel so soft, so its lovely to use on such a delicate area of skin. What I really love about this lip brush is that the sliver casing at the end of the brush is removable and doubles up as a cap, so this is perfect to pop in your handbag for those lip touch ups though out the day.
When it comes to applying foundation I don't tend to use a flat paddle brushes just because I find they can take a bit longer to really work the foundation into your skin and in the mornings I just don't have that extra time to waste on blending. However for review purposes I thought I'd try it out and it turns out I actually love it. Again like with all of these brushes this foundation brush is very soft, but it really holds its shape when applying foundation. It actually blends your foundation like a dream and the flat sides really allow you to work the foundation into those smaller areas like the sides of your nose very quickly and easily - I love it.
Again this is another one of my favourite brushes in the collection and I've been reaching for this little brush a lot! This brush is perfect for applying eyeshadow underneath the lash line and smudging and blending out any shadow or liner. If you love creating a smokey eye, I promise you this little brush will make doing it a dream. I also love using this on those minimal makeup days and using it to slightly smudge any kohl eyeliner on the upper lash liner for a more softer look.
This stiff and compact flat brush works amazingly at applying cream eyeshadows. I often use cream shadows or paint pots as a base for my eyeshadow and really hate using my fingers and fluffy brushes really don't work well with this formulas. This brush really picks up the product and the synthetic bristles don't allow the product to get lost in the brush, so its really easy to place any cream shadow over the lid.
This lovely fluffy power brush is the biggest brush in the collection and I love using this for creating an all over glow with my bronzer. What I really love about this brush is that is blends any product out evenly over your skin which is just what you want for an all over application. The domed tip also allows you to get more precise with you application, and again this blends any powder beautifully.
As you can probably tell I am in love with these brushes, they really are amazing and would be a perfect addition to any brush collection. Maggie really has a wonderful collection of brushes and this lady really knows her stuff when it comes to makeup - Not only is Maggie one of the worlds leading celebrity makeup artists, but her work has featured in the likes of Vogue, Harpers and Elle! WOW.
If you would like to add any of Maggie's makeup brushes to your collection you can take a look at the website here. All brushes are individually priced, but you can pick up all of the brushes in the collection for a discounted price of £100 which saves you around £50.
I would love to know what your thoughts are on these brushes and if you're planning on adding any to your collection, let me know. Like I said I can't recommend them enough.
Lots of Love
