Hubby and I took Ammar to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen's screening last Monday. He's extremely excited with the idea of wearing his new Optimus Prime shirt and going to the movie like an adult.
And thanks to Transformers that now he is no longer Ben Tennison nor Four Arms the red alien creature. He has transformed into that yellow Camero Bumblebee! Come July, I bet that's gonna be his 4th birthday cake design request!
Fz's note on the movie:
The first trilogy is always dear to me. The part when Bumblebee was caught and tied up under the bridge and the scene where Autobots had to be invisible to the Witwicky-couple around Sam's house. That's so cool! This second trilogy, a little less but it never dissapoint me. I still want to watch it the second time! But hubby has his own thoughts about it, which I can't wait to read his next blog! Wait and watch the credit for some spoiler here! And was it just me who saw MALAYSIAN AIRLINES LOGO SIGNAGE backwards on the left screne in the first 3 minutes of the show?? Can someone confirms this, please?
Put the magic compass on the ground. It takes me places and around. Where missing chapters are found.

LJ the lively rockstar princess!
Where: MRR2
I was driving home from work last night when I tuned in to ERA to hear the SEMANGAT's duo - Ray & Dina! (Hey Dina, you've finally started the night shift! Don't be late, "NANTI SEMPUT!" Whooops!)
They were waiting for Liyana Jasmay, whom I nick-named "Princess Rockstar LJ", to go on-air. How I came about with the name? We were wrapping up July issue and I invited LJ to our studio for photoshoot and interview on Laila Sari telemovie. It's a modern fairy tale and LJ was sent to earth by her good sister to learn more about life as a good person. (yes, she was the bad one!) I bet the early scene when she first arrived to earth would be fun to watch, because according to LJ, she came as a princess with all royalties 'bling-bling' but had to sell it off piece by piece to earn money (or is it, she had to give it away or something??) It reminds me of The Enchanted the Disney's movie. But hey this's local, Malaysian idea, Malaysian creativity and malaysian made - can't wait to see the Malaysian version of it!
Oh ya, how did I came about with the name? One of my questions was "If you were to be the princess character, which one would that be?" And her answer - "It's not in the list! I want to be the modern singing princess - a rockstar! So, you have to create one for me!" LJ is just friendly, chatty, lively and natural; and yes, no Disney's pricess will match our very own Liyana Jasmay! With your sincere love for the industry and your passion for expansion, which bring positive insfluence to Malaysian youngsters, you've just earned it, dear!

How can it be normal when it's not??
Where: My anger spot
My soon to-be 4 year old son, Ammar, has been complaining that it is paintful when wee-wee-ing. That's not normal for sure. So hubby quickly took him to the clinic and was informed by the doctor that our son's private part growth may not balancely developed. This, I am sure a rare case but I think it is still pretty normal in a way (Well, I guess I don't have to spare the details, do I?) More to that, Ammar may have to undergo an operation. Or circumcision at a very young age. The doctor handed hubby a referall letter to the specialist hospital, one of the well-knowns in KL even the royalties would choose to be there.
Off we went to the hospital. Ample parking space. Admission was strict in concern to the H1N1 outburst. Registration was considered fast. Great services so far. Even at the pediatrition suite, everything when through the normal procedure. 1 doctor, 2 consultation rooms, 3 medical assistants. No, make that 4! And loads of sick children. Mostly expatriats. So you can imagine the excellence international standard of commitment we're getting.
After the brief checkup, the doctor suspected it could be just a bacteria infection. Circumcision may not required. What Ammar needs may just be a gentle massage to stabilise the growth. But still, Ammar urine sample is needed for case identification and urgent treatment. "Ibu, make sure you leave us your mobile numbers and we will quickly contact you after we got the results at 3pm and see whether Ammar needs to be admitted for ward treatment as soon as tomorrow morning..." My reply was, "I have given my number and hubby's. Here's our house number in case you can't reach any of us..." There, 3 contact numbers. Impossible that the hospital will miss any of us. Would they?
3pm, no call came in. Not to any of the numbers given. Not even at 6pm nor 8pm. (How could they call when the clinic closed at 4pm!) I rang in around that time and no one was there to pick up the phone. And of course there won't be no call overnight. It was a long wait. The next morning, Ammar still showed the sign of in pain. So when the clinic opened, I gave it a ring. A familiar 'experiencely aging' voice was on the other end. Anxiously and desperately to know the result, I was still able to greet, chit-chat and be as friendly as can be.
The reply was: "Oh, how can we call you at 3 yesterday. It takes some 48 hours to process the results. Anyway, the first result just came in but the doctor has to see it first. Looking at it now, it's NORMAL. But the doctor will see to it tomorrow together with the second result..."
Me: But the doctor's impression yesterday was like super urgent? So, the doctor hasn't seen the result yet? Can please quickly call me then? But if the result you said is NORMAL, meaning there's nothing's wrong with Ammar. But he still said it's paintful this morning.
She: Oh the doctor is on leave today. He will only look into this tomorrow. Will it be possible that your son fakes it? Do you pamper him too much? Sikit-sikit pun cakap sakit?
Me: WHAT?? Yes I pamper him but never teach him to lie. To whom am I speaking now??
She: XXXXX here. Um. So you don't want to wait for the DOCTOR? Do you want to see another doctor here? We can arrange it for you. Can you pls leave me your number?
Me: I'VE WRITTEN 3 NUMBERS YESTERDAY. RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. HOW CAN YOU STILL ASK THIS AGAIN??
She: Oh okay, hang on, let me check the folder. (AND SHE KEPT ME WAITING FOR HALF A MINUTE SHOUTING HELLO? HELLO? HELLO??) Gosh, I really don't need that at that time!!
Me: Miss XXXXX, I still want to hear what your (super) DOCTOR has to say. Make sure he calls me. And you don't have to arrange for another doctor in YOUR HOSPITAL. I'm taking my son somewhere else!
Later that afternoon, Ammar, me and hubby were already at Naluri, meeting the familiar face, Dr. Khairul. Comparing to the super doctor who just checked Ammar's private part, Dr. Khairul checked up to his tummy and kidney. He too suspected urinary infection. Once again, Ammar had to pass his urine sample. Dr. Khairul did make a note that his hospital despatching cases for test by 4.30pm but Ammar was not able 'to go' until 4.45 (only after a bottle of 100PLUS!) So we expected to get the results only by the next day. At least, we knew what to expect this time.
10 minutes to 12 midnight the same day, I received a call from Naluri confirming the bacteria infection in Ammar's test results; therefore antibiotic treatment should start right away. We are no longer left in the dark now, you see.
Morale of the story:
1. Hubby always beleive in Dr. Khairul's personal touch; I always believe that children are the purest living creatures - lying is the last thing on their mind or Ammar must be a great actor to fake the pain for days!
2. A doctor explains his thoeries and consequences; more to that, a good doctor shares what makes he worries and what clueless parents like us should do/expect because he's a father/parent too
3. A doctor, or through his assistant, calls back on the same day, when he said he would
4. Never ask your customer for contact numbers when your nature of business deals with emergency OR after you've made all your first time customers writen their contact number 3 TIMES!
5. FAKE IT MY #$% + *BLEEP* the hospital and it's excellence international standard of commitment!!
My anger still high but my patience takes pride. I'm cool now. The End.

Permulaan satu bab yang baru
Lokasi: Muar, 6 Jun 2009
Bertolak pukul 10 pagi. 3 petang baru sampai rombongan Cik Kiah dari Astro dengan 10 + 1 dulang kenderaan, (Bukan dulang hantaran!) Yang '+ 1' tu kereta MyVi adik ipar sayalah! Banyak jugalah nama-nama tempat baru yang saya temui sepanjang jalan. Paling tak dapat dilupakan ialah Parit Ponorogo. Nasib baik juga tak tersalah rumah macam Pak Nil. Huh, memang dah turun kereta dah. Tangan kiri-kanan pegang anak-anak. Kalau tak kerana ringan mulut bertanya ahli pasukan Rela, 'Ini rumah Nana, ya?' Rasa-rasanya saya dah siap senteng lengan baju, senduk nasi dan lauk-pauk untuk dijamah anak-beranak. Maklumlah jauh perjalanan, lapar pula tu! Suami pun letih juga hampir 5 jam memandu.
'Bukan, ini rumah Cikgu Mat Zain..." Jawabnya. "Cikgu Mat Zain atau Che Mahazan?" Tanya saya lagi. ""Sebelah sana, sana," Tunjuk si kakak Rela. Oooooooooooooooooo dua kenduri berbeza rupanya. Tapi dah macam bersambunglah pula khemah-khemahnya... Hidup berjiran begitulah adatnya - walaupun dah dibawa berbincang, alih-alih tumpang kongsi lorong, kerusi, meja dan kegembiraan hari bahagia! Ucap selamat pengantin baru buat Nana-Brian. Selamat pengantin baru buat jiran Nana jugalah ye! Hehe...
Jangan sampai botak kepala lagi - and you deserve to be happy!)
Malah Brian pun bukan calang-calang orangnya. Bukan setahun-dua umurnya, bukan sekali-dua bercinta. Apabila melibatkan dua jiwa, pasti sudah dirungkai segala persoalan. Sudah dikupas segala buah pemikiran. Sudah diperjelas isi hati, luar dan dalam.
Saya pernah berbual dengan si cantik manis Lisa Surihani tentang 'perkahwinannya' dengan Farid Kamil dalam filem I'm Not Single (akhirnya saya dapat juga menontonnya di Astro CITRA!) Lisa pun bersetuju bahawa 'a marriege is not an ending to a beautiful love story. It is a beginning to a new chapter called FAMILY', Tambah-tambah dalam Islam, besar tanggungjawabnya apabila sudah bergelar seorang suami, seorang isteri. Ikut rasa, binasa. Ikut hati, sen-dri ada rugi! Remember - 2's a company; 2's A TEAM!
Rasanya dah tersasar jauh nih! (On a smaller scale: Tak percaya, cuba tanya my hubby, what are the last 4 digits in my IC! Heh heh... But if you're reading this honey, not one bit nor one skip of a heartbeat that I regret choosing to live my life with you!)
Oih! Lupa pula tengah bercerita tentang wedding Nana! Asyik lari fokus je nih... Oklah, kesimpulannya, wedding Nana sempoi macam orangnya. Nana tetap Nana. Tak ada control-control. Atas pelamin pun dia boleh main 'keloi' geng ERA naik pelamin ambil gambar! Huhu...

The Silly Soap Song
Where: In my head
"Silly soap, silly soap,
You're so slippery...
Silly soap, silly soap,
You are so funny...
Silly soap, silly soap,
You've cleaned my body...
Silly soap, silly soap,
You make me happy!"
That's the new shower song my son and I came up with when his special soap for allergic skin kept on falling from my hand. To him, "Hey mummy, the soap is running away from your hand!"
So much of a hassle to move him from the TV set into the washroom for a quick evening shower, the song seems to make him laugh and enjoy his bath. Coolness! "Another idea emergency, solved."

Erra, Aleesya, Astro Ria dan Johnson's Baby...
Lokasi: Bangsar, 2 Jun 2009
Paginya saya menghadiri sidang akhbar Anugerah Planet Muzik di Jalan Tun Razak. Isinnya jangan tanya sebab saya dapat salah maklumat! Memang dapat jemputan acara bermula jam 10 pagi tetapi dari maklumat orang dalam yang sangat-sangat saya kenali katanya bermula jam 11. kalau macam tu, masih sempat nih, getus hati. saya pun cepat-cepat memandu dan sampai sekitar 11.30 pagi - huh dah masuk sesi bergambar dan menjamu selera. Alahai, salah daa...
Jadi saya kira, masih diambil-kira budaya sopan-santun amalan orang kita.
Cuba anda selami kembali pengalaman kali pertama anda disahkan mengandung anak sulung... Apa hal pula nak dikongsi bersama orang ramai! Tetapi ibu yang ini, lain. Beliau bukan sebarangan orang. Beliau seorang bintang. Beliau Erra Fazira.
Challenges make a nobody, a somebody
Where: Home.
Attention: Bahasa rojak hujung minggu!
Due to my nature of work, I have to be in the know of the entertainment scenario. So Pancaindera is always the first thing I grab every Sunday morning. I've read about the hot interviews with Rusdi Ramli and Akim AF7, whom I came to know about in different ways.
Rusdi Ramli
I had an interview with him several months back. I bet he got loads of questions from everyone asking why he accepted Astro's offer to be the Anak Wayang's host. He has done a lot of acting and won several awards too. The most memorable is of course the Best Male Actor in FFM20. So why not extend his career this year? Everyone needs to try something new anyway. Keep doing the same routine we are comfortable with everyday, won't take us anywhere except a place called comfort zone. We have to challenge ourself sometimes, in some different ways. And Rusdi Ramli is doing just that when he chose to challenge himself as a host. Who got away the first time? NOBODY. I saw the first show (sorry bang) memang keras macam kayu! But he evolved in the next shows and still evolving now. As much as each of the candidates growing in developing throughout the show - we can see a lot of expansion in the show itself. and of course, the hosts. Even for the fast-talking and bubly Fazura, if it not because of Rusdi's slacking pulls so much attention on the centre spread, silap-silap Fazura pun kena sekali. :)
Akim AF7
No, I have not met Akim personally. I watched the first concert and Akim was not in my top A list (but who cares about my A or B list, right?) However, his star beginning to shine in the mid concert onwards. His journey (together with all the other AF students) is more like a revolution instead of Rusdi's evolusion. In whose right mind, you can change a person in 10 short weeks? Salah sana sikit, sini sikit, 'pitching' lari, 'punctured' di separuh akhir lagu tu dah biasa dalam kamus Akademi Fantasia. nama pun mereka budak baru belajar... and whether or not 'transformation' a big word used, I have to agree; but hey, in the end of the day - it quite works you see. If we're talking about the impact, thanks to AF, the word TRANSFORMASI has becomes a famous utterly word nowadays. And most of the AF kids do transformed in a way. Whose performance do you remember the most in A7 final concert? To me, it was Akim's 'strap-dance'. From the first concert to the last, which I saw it live, Akim is the only AF participant who has transformed so much. But that was just the beginning of his new transformation journey.
Less than half a year becomming a star, he's now facing with the downside of our entertainment industry. Awal-awal lagi Akim dah kena buat public confession and apology. Hmm, mungkin bagus jugak kena awal-awal ni kut - jangan sampai dah terhantuk baru tengadah, kan? Anyway orang tua-tua pesan, cakap siang pandang-pandang dan terlajak perahu boleh diundur, terlajak kata kena simpanlah tanjak kuning Akim tu - tak boleh undo nor 'control-alternate-delete!' Anyway, I'm sure this is a good lesson learned for Akim and all rookies the moment you become public subjects. Those who are reporting, be the better person to write - jangan sampai mengaibkan orang. Those being reported, kalau tak ada angin masa kan pokok bergoyang? Those reading the reports, jangan cepat menghukum tanpa membuat penilaian seadil-adilnya. Jangan ambil bulat-bulat tanpa usul periksa dari sumber-sumber rujukan lain. (Sumber I, Pancaindera tu boleh percaya ke? Hehe... But one thing I know, lineup reporters nya memang orang lama yang tahu dan sangat berpengalaman dalam selok-belok kerja mereport mereka - kalau tak, tak kan Pacaindera tu boleh tahan lama, kan?) Ambil ikhtibar satu rancangan TV yang dah memang masuk kategori mengaibkan orang. Ishk, tak best la gitu bang, dik... Tahu la rating tinggi tapi cakap biar pandang-pandang. Hari ini kita report tentang orang. Esok-esok, orang report tentang kita pula! Begitulah arakiannya putaran dunia kita ini, kan? Namanya pun dunia tu bulat.

Doogie Howser made me write this!
I've been thinking about blogging for quite some time. But somehow I think I am the only person on earth who doesn't have a blogsite; who has not been blogging since the dinosour age... If I were to write, I should have start writing years ago. If I were to blog, I should have started doing it the first day I read my collagemate's journal online. Until I got my first job at 71st floor, Tower 2 of the Petronas Twin Towers; until I was sent on a mission to SIC for the F1 2002 race. Until I got married to a good friend's causin whom i met at her wedding reception. Until I am blessed with 2 beautiful children who are taking me through a fun-dizzy-roller-coster ride called motherhood. But still I waited and waited and waited. Until I watched the reruns of Doogie Howser MD on Astro WARNA. Remember how he used to end the show by typing his mind out on the computer? Yes, he made me write this!
