Owen's birthday :)

I can't believe my baby isn't a baby anymore.  He's officially a toddler and there's no stopping him!  He is definitely a busy boy.  We had to celebrate his birthday a day early because David and I left for Hawaii the day of his birthday!  The good part was Mom was here to help us celebrate since she'd come into town to stay with the kids, and Bree and Javi and Annalece came over for presents and brownies.  It was low-key, but Owie loved the attention, and especially the presents!
He's all about balls these days, so he was thrilled with Bree's presents. :)
"Soccer!"
He was excited to get sporty clothes like his brothers from Grandma...
Fun crayons...
A tractor...
An awesome machine book...
A super cute cape that Annalece made...
And his own basketball hoop!
His best buddy, Celine, was of course very willing to help him open all the presents.  She'll be two before long as well!  How has the time passed so quickly?!
We opted to have brownies instead of cupcakes for the sake of time, and because I knew Owen wouldn't care one way or the other, as long as it was sweet and messy!

Digging in!
Happy birthday, sweet Owie!!

Ari's Frozen 5th Birthday!

Our Ari girl has turned five!!  She's officially a little lady now.  It's hard to believe.  Thankfully, she's as cute now as she was when she was two.  Just a little sassier and talks a lot more!   We still love her sweet girly-ness, though.  It was no surprise that she wanted a Frozen Elsa party this year for her birthday party - every little girly-girl's favorite thing right now!  Ari LOVES Elsa!  She's declared blue her favorite color (with gray and white close seconds), asks for Elsa braids every other day, and sings the songs and dances along like no other!

So we had all her favorite girlfriends over in their princess dresses and the party began with princesses dancing all over the place!
We were all anxiously awaiting the surprise of a VERY special visitor, but she didn't come, and didn't come... So we had to improvise a little!  Thank goodness for Aunt Annalece and Aunt Heather who both came up with activities in the meantime!
Turned out our special visitor was mixed up and had ended up in another "kingdom," so while we waited for her to make it down to ours we switched things up a little and decorated cupcakes and opened presents.  We let the girls decorate their own cupcakes with special "Frozen" sprinkles, so we had sparkly blue stuff everywhere!
Ari's friend, Jada...
 Annie
 Addi
 Cute Cami
 Anna
 Alaina
 Sweet Celine
 And little Lexi!
We also had other "Frozen" snacks - Olaf nose carrot sticks, frozen grapes, Sven antler pretzels, and blue ice Jello Jigglers!
Ari got lots of cute presents, but one of the best was an apron Annalece had made. :)
Finally, our special guest arrived!  Elsa herself!!  Ari had a hard time believing she was actually at our house.  She started off by reading the story of her and her sister, Anna...

Then she did a special coronation ceremony for our own Princess Ariana!
Then she did face painting for everyone.  Ari opted for a picture of Elsa's castle.
While the girls were waiting they got to make their own princess crowns.
Uncle Javi took lots of fun candid pictures of everyone. :)

Daisy and the cute Olaf on her cheek.
Those eyes!
Before Elsa left she took pictures with all the girls.
I love Ari's little crooked smile. :)
Finally, after Elsa had left in a rush to visit a different kingdom, we ate pizza!  The little princesses didn't look so princess-y anymore... :)  But they sure enjoyed themselves!

Later that day, we had our own little family party.  Ari opted for a hot dog dinner (her favorite!) and then we opened family presents.  Here she is showing off her new Elsa shirt!
 Eating her birthday dinner.
Opening presents!  Her very own Rainbow Loom bands...
LOTS of Barbies (found on a really great sale)...
 Elsa and Anna dolls...
 And a new bike!
Hopefully the training wheels will come off soon.  She looks so big, though, on her big-girl bike!  Happy birthday, our five-year-old princess!!
