31st Anniversary

I couldn't find any recent pictures of us together, so here is an picture from 18 months ago when we went to visit Kimberlee in Sydney.  This is taken outside her ward building, which is a high rise office building in downtown Sydney.  It was kind of weird going inside, like you are going shopping or something.  When the elevator door opens, it looks just like a church in Gilbert!

I don't want to bore anyone with how lucky I am etc etc but I really am.  David was commenting on how strange it is to be back like it was when we first got married, just the two of us.  To celebrate our anniversary we are taking Lindsay and Lucy and families to Sedona for the Memorial weekend.  After all, we get to be alone all the time now!

Barbie Doll Call Team

I was called into work on Saturday.  Not having any clean hospital issued scrubs, I rummaged through my old scrubs and put on set.  When I got to work, apparently nobody had clean hospital scrubs and we ALL had put on the exact same colors!

We thought this was pretty funny and dubbed ourselves the Barbie Doll Call Team.  Our case then got cancelled so we sent this picture to Dr. Kerr, our on call Doc.  His reply was: This is what you give me to work with?  A man can only be pushed so far! "

As you can see, I work with a great group of nurses, techs and Docs.

Happy Mothers Day!

My Mother is the most amazing woman I know!  I wish I had appreciated her more when I was a teenager.  My father died when I was 14.  She still had 5 of her 8 children at home to support.  A widow at 54, she went to work after being a stay at home mom all those years.  She worked til she was 72 and then learned the spanish language so she could go on TWO proselyting missions.  Her companions were half her age!  This is how good she is.  She apologizes to ME for not being a better mother!  Now that is funny!
This is Mom on her 90th (yes 90th) birthday.  She is a twin and we celebrated their birthdays at Hawley Lake last summer.  Isn't she beautiful!
One of her accomplishments was to pilot a plane.  This is Eathel and Ethel with THEIR plane "Andante".  Didn't they have awesome husbands to buy them this??
Mom is forever the example of service.  This is a picture I took last week of her crocheting baby booties for the church humanitarian project.  I managed to get a pair from her as  a memory of what a kind, giving and compassionate woman she is to the end.

Thanks Mom for a wonderful life of unconditional love and lasting memories.  I'm so glad you lived by me for most of my life and were a part of my families life.  You helped me through some of my greatest trials and your example has made me a better person.  Love you Forever, Like you for always.................

Preston's 10th Anniversary Heart Transplant Party

We started our day by visiting Grandma.  Four generations ! Me, Mom, Elsie, Lucy.
The party was at the Smith's backyard.  Preston looks great as a newly married man!
We reunited with old friends, Reed Smith,
Beals and Welker families.
Preston sang some of his music, sounded great!  Even a love song to his new wife!
Dr./Pres. Brian Kartchner sat down to catch up with me.  Lillian wouldn't leave my side.
Elsie, affectionately known as "Poodles" loved the grass.
The evening ended with a reunion concert of the "Slobbering Cantaloupes" .  Enjoy the video!
