UKS challenge May week 4

and liddle lamzey diveyHere’s my layout for this week’s challenge at UK Scrappers. It was set by The Allsorts who asked us to

use the sketch check
use pink and/or blue
check
use punches and/or stamps check

So I’m claiming 30 points for my team The Bijoux Belles.

… and liddle lamzy divey

I haven’t felt much like scrapping lately but I really enjoyed doing this – the sketch is great. Ohand liddle lamzey divey detail and I added more flowers than I meant to as I needed to cover some spots where I managed to cut my finger chopping off the button shanks. Ouch! Talking of buttons … how sweet are these? I got them from John Lewis a trifle pricey but irresistible!

Thanks for visiting.

Happy birthday, Sophia!

Just for you ...

WOYWW 208

I’m scheduling this post as I missed last week’s WOYWW not realising it was Wednesday! Having had another bank holiday I will go all week not knowing what day it is senior incidents seem to be lasting more than a moment these days!

Anyway 29th May is Sophia’s 6th birthday and inspired by the lovely Jen’s never-ending card here I set about making one. It was surprisingly easy to do and Sophia was mesmerised by its clever workings. Thanks Jen. :o)

The other thing fighting for space on my desk is the quilt I am making also for Sophia. I am so enjoying this new hobby and am already addicted to hoarding lovely fabrics!

I’m off to snoop round some workdesks at Julia’s … hope to see you there.

My card tally to date = 25!
Sue So here we are at the end of May and it’s still as cold as Christmas. Well, I know that’s a bit of an exaggeration but, with the weather we’ve been having, it doesn’t seem out of place to be making festive cards. So, if you started in January you will now have up to 25 cards stashed away for December … woo hoo! If you haven’t joined us before now it’s not too late to start Beating the Christmas Rush :o) Our aim is to make up to five cards each month so that we can be very smug come December. Just link me to your blog post and I’ll pop over and leave you a nice comment. Heather

Each month I like to feature my favourite card from last month's linkies and I just had to choose this one by Heather; I love silhouettes and Heather has inspired my card for next month!

Here are some fab cards made by lovely crafty friends, Sarah, Susi and Jen. Please do visit their blogs for some Christmas inspiration!

Suzy’s blog makeover hop

Mind the Gap sketch Mind the Gap
If you’ve hopped here from Donna’s blog, Yorkshire Tea Jenny, you are in the right place :o). If you came straight here that’s fine, too, just pop to the start on Suzy’s blog, Sea, Glass and Sand where she is celebrating her blog makeover. There are prizes to be won on your way around the blog hop and on here, too. My page is made from the May Littlegreen kit. I’d like you use my sketch as your starter and when you’ve done your layout (or card)  leave me a comment with a link to your blog post. One lucky commenter will win the May kit.

Your next hop is on to Jen’s blog, Scrappy Jen.

Happy hopping,

Sue x
PS Please link your sketch entries by June 20th. :o)
