WOYWW 178

Well Happy Halloween Wednesday! And welcome to my busy workdesk. Tomorrow sees the launch of our annual Christmas Countdown at Creative Craft World but I’ve hidden away anything I’m working on for that. Come back tomorrow to see the first project (by me smile )

31.10.12 What you can see, towards the back on the right, is the card I’ve made for the November kit for CCW and on my cutting mat is a ‘new home’ card I’m in the middle of making using the gorgeous ceramic buttons I was lucky enough to be sent from Button Mad.

If you’ve enjoyed your nosey at my workdesk pop over to What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday and snoop at a few more.

Sophia’s Album

whole I started this book in a class by Sandra at the Cardinal Colours weekend retreat. It began life as a planner but I wasn’t really sure what I would do with it so I changed course midstream and made it into a photo album for Sophia. There is a pocket in each page with a journalling tag for her to write on if she’d like to.

Scrapology Sketch Challenge … R is for Rainbow

Quite a tricky sketch at Scrapology this month but the layout by Steph Devlin is so beautiful I was inspired to have a go. I swapped the flowers for butterflies (all 120 of them!) and flipped the photo to portrait as I wanted to use this beautiful photo of Leo and Sophia. You can just feel the love between them.

Wednesday again! They do reappear quickly! What’s on my workdesk? Well first of all I want to show you how my reorganising is coming along. Here is how I usually take my ribbons to crops >>>

and here is how they are transported now …

24.10.12 3

neat eh?

So onto my workdesk where I have a few projects at various stages. At the back are some almost finished Christmas cards that I had intended to be classy and white but I failed miserably at heat embossing so now they are glittery silver having been well-Stickled. The rainbow of butterflies is the start of my page for this month’s Scrapology challenge. You can also see a photo of delicious little Leo, the subject of my next layout24.10.12Thanks for popping by my workdesk today. There are loads more workdesks to visit at What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday. I hope you’ll join in – it’s great fun nosying around where other crafters craft.

Cardinal Colours weekend crop

DSC_58641-e1312133595933[1] We are just home from a great weekend of scrapping and I am worn out! We went to the Cardinal Colours weekend crop near Eastbourne. Eight of us rented a converted cowshed (!) about 10 miles from the crop. It was a lovely place but a bit off the beaten track and very tough to find in the dark. Not a lot of sleep was got but boy did we eat well - thank you so much to the cooks. :o)

A couple of crop photos:

I did two classes and my favourite was a beautiful page by Linda, absolutely perfperfect togetherect for this photo of Anna and Sophia.

I also completed this page, a scraplift from a layout by one of by UK Scrappers  teammates (click the BBs’ Scraplifts page tab above to see Karen’s original).

The rest of my weekend scrapping was for the Littlegreen Crop Circle kit, so I will blog that after the crop on November 10th.

CCW October Minikit

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to get the new minikit at Creative Craft World to play with. The papers are lovely and the colours especially gorgeous. I made a step card for my niece’s birthday (don’t peek, Rosie!) and two 12x6 layouts and still have papers left over. The hexagon stickers are right up my street!

Oh and there’s a challenge to enter, too. Good luck!

WOYWW 176

Good morning and happy Wednesday. Here’s my workdesk today.17.10.12 I’ve been busy with the Creative Craft World minikit challenge so you have a sneak preview of the card and two 12x6 layouts that I’ve done for my DT work. The papers are gorgeous! My regular visitors (thank you) will know I’ve been slowly sorting and organising the tip I fondly call my craft room. Yesterday I bought some of the pink boxes you can see on the left of the photo – they are reduced to £3.99 in The Works. This one now contains the ink pads and other stamping paraphernalia that usually rattle around the bottom of my crop tote. Four of them fit perfectly into the Papermania wheeled tote.

OK time for some workdesk hopping at What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Wedding Minibook

cover If you were here on Wednesday you will have seen this book in the making. I am very pleased with the finished article and should say thanks to Jackie who was very patient in teaching me the techniques needed. In fact Jackie will be teaching a minibook class at the next Littlegreen Crop and also at the CCW retreat next year.

WOYWW

I’m scrapping on a hotel table again! This time we’re in wet and soggy South Devon, in Babbacombe.

Here’s my work desk 10.10.12and, as you can see, I’m working on another of the minibooks which my good friend Jackie taught me to make. You can see a completed one on my post here.

I’ll be workdesk hopping at What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday a bit later on.

WOYWW (late!)

I was away from my craft room all day yesterday taking mum up to stay with my bro so I missed posting. I’m excited to show you my work desk for two reasons – one it is organised and tidy and two, I have been working on projects for Beth’s first birthday. Yes she is one already!!

04.10.12

The bunnies are her birthday card – well the pink one is, the white was a trial run. I found the bunny via Pinterest and it originally came from  Splitcoast Stampers. The book at the front, made from scratch with the help of my friend Jackie, is a book of photographs of Beth’s first year with pull out journalling tags for her mum and dad to write on.

The other thing I wanted to tell you about are the ceramic buttons in the bottom right of the photo. I won them! They asked people to put forward an idea for using any of the buttons from the Button Mad catalogue. Come back to see what I do with them. :o) The blog where I saw the buttons is Totally Tutorials and it’s well worth a visit.

04.10.12 2

And lastly, just to show it isn’t only my desk I’ve been organising :o) here’s my lovely Expedit.

Thanks for visiting my work desk – sorry it’s late! I’m off to hop around What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday.
