Mid-week Motivation One for the Boys

Our challenge this week is to make a Masculine project - not just for the men in our lives but maybe for the little ones or even a new baby - take a look

The image was stamped on to card stock and then 'coloured in' using an aqua brush giving a softer look to the image.
Remember the little elephants I used on last week's Mid-week Motivation card? I've used it again but this time on the inside

Hope this has inspired you to have a go - a link to this week's challenge is at the top of the page.

CAS - Mid-week Motivation

This week we have this sketch to work from

And this week we are also asking you to make your projects CAS - Clean and Simple. For the purposes of this challenge CAS means clean cut paper and card stock, clear and crisp stamping and NO distressing!

Here is another card to hopefully inspire you

This little stamp is perfect for using with markers as each individual element can be coloured differently - there is also a sentiment that sits just under the image - it too can be coloured in a different colour

Perfect for decorating the insides of your cards

Die Cuts/Punches Mid Week Motivation

Hello everyone, it's Fliss here again with a somewhat frilly and fancy offering for the current challenge's mid week motivation and I hope you like it.
Here's a pic of the materials I used to make the card which consists of a couple of pieces of stamped, decorated paper from my scraps box (it's my New Year resolution to use up more of these) together with a couple of die cuts using white card.

As you can see, I've stamped a lovely Gibson lady on the round die cut (Marianne Design) with Archival coffee ink (she's by Flonzcraft)
I cut the pink floral paper to fit behind the lovely trellis (Cheery Lynn) then embossed the trellis with the Cuttlebug textile folder and inked it up with blue before attaching it to the pink paper.
I then die cut some flowers with a Nestabilities carnation set and cut out a flourish by Cheery Lynn from the blue paper.
I inked around the edges of the round image panel with blue and pink inks, embossed the right hand edge of my card blank with the textile folder, added some glitter and a metal brad to the flower and finished off with a computer generated die cut sentiment.
Here's the finished card:

Can you see what I mean about frilly now?!

Hope you like my creation.
Fliss xx

Die Cuts/Punches

Good morning folks, it's Monday again and time for a new challenge and it's Fliss here this week with my choice for a theme and it's one I think you'll love as much as me:

DIE CUTS/PUNCHES

You can make anything you like - doesn't have to be a card and it can include either die cuts or punching or both if you like!
We've been totally overwhelmed with the response to our first challenge of the year and will be back with the Top 3 for that as soon as we can make the very difficult decision - thanks to all who entered!

Now here's some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team:

Dry Embossing Mid Week Motivation

Hi everyone it's Suzi b again with some dry embossing inspiration... hope you like it.
The idea came to me when I was searching through my12x12 papers trying to find inspiration for my Granddaughter's birthday card when I came across  the paper pictured below whichis  from DCWV: Latte Stack which I must say I've had for quite a while and never used..

I cut out the shapes and embossed them with various embossing folders. Then played around on a 15cm square card base until I was happy with the arrangement, I then added bits and pieces from my stash to give interest. I think if I had used a with love sentiment this could be an understated Valentines card... especially for a man.

As the DP went through my Cuttlebug it took some of the colour off here and there giving it a slight aged look ... I liked that. You can just see it on this photo.

See you soon
