White on White Mid Week Motivation

Hi everyone it's Suzi B here with white on white mid week motivation. I thought I'd share a card that's quick and easy to make because at this time of year time is precious.
So these cards have no stamping, no cutting out and no colouring...

Two variations an A5 card  and a 6"x6" square card. I used my Cuttlebug for dry embossing , small and large snowflake punches... quicker than using dies, (I think) Martha Stewart edge punch. Oops forgot there is a bit of stamping.... the sentiment is from  IndigoBlu stamped in Versafine Smokey Grey, a few gems, a snowflake charm with some silver cord... Actually the cord gave me my biggest problem I couldn't get it to stay where I wanted it to be and as for the bow!! if any of you have this mastered perhaps you could let me know how to do it...  :o)

The embossed card is raised slightly from the base card, the snowflake is fixed flatter than I would've like but I was baring in mind postage. The snowflakes arms can be raised once its reached it's destination..Mind you not sure it's a good idea to send a card with instructions! tee hee

Hope you like these two quick cards.
 take care
xx Suzi B xx

Mid-Week Motivation - Bluebell

Hi, Caz here again, I know how busy everyone is at present either making Christmas cards, or even out shopping for them. Hopefully you will get some time to enter the Favourite Flower Challenge. I decided for the mid week motivation to move to my second favourite flower which is a bluebell. I have made an easel card and the additional inspiration in this post is I hope to encourage you to give a gift along with your card, by enclosing  a bookmark.

The stamp of the Bluebell is from Elusive Images (Chocolate Baroque). The butterfly is by Lyndsay Mason from her tattered Butterflies set. Coloured with Promarkers. background Papers from a pack by Papermania.

Favorite Flower

December - a new month, a new theme with weekly topics. Hello everyone this is Caz, it is my turn to choose the monthly theme and the weekly topics. There is a little of Christmas to look forward to, but because my birthday is on Christmas Day, let us not forget there are many folk who have a birthday in December. My theme for the month is POT POURRI - a mixture of topics. For our first week the Design Team would like to see a project which has on YOUR Favourite Flower. Remember, you can make any project you wish, as long as it fits in our general rules. Please check them out.  The Design Team have provided some fabulous examples of their individual Favourite Flowers, I hope you like this challenge and enjoy producing your project.

Midweek Motivation - Autumn supplies: Ribbon & Buttons

Hello all - it's Midweek Motivation time and it's my (Jacqueline's) turn. The card I have for you today is made using one of my favourite Stampin' Up sets - Summer Silhouettes.
I have given them an Autumnal twist by stamping them in earthy colours with a touch of Pumpkin Pie. They have been stamped on to white card stock and then fussy cut and mounted on to Pumpkin Pie card stock. A small scrap of Very Vanilla ribbon has been wrapped around my stamped images and a button added - this has been attached to the ribbon with some twine.
A simple stamped sentiment was added for a finishing touch - hope you like it.

Meet the Guest Designers

Our Guest Designers this month are Suzanne

Here are a few words from Suzanne
Hi, my name is Suzanne and I use to be a member of the design team for Make My Monday!  I still miss the ladies very much - it's a friendly, low stress design team to be on.  I have been papercrafting for over 7 years now and I cannot imagine my life without it now.  Crafting has opened many doors for me.  I have made lots of new friends both in "real life" and "cyber life" - I make no secret of the fact that I find Crafers the most generous and friendly of people, always willing to share and inspire.  I was introduced to card making by my ever patient husband who knew I needed a "hobby" as I was obssessed with housework and nothing else.  7-years later I bet he rues that day - (1) the housework is now last on my list of things to do and (2) we probably could have paid our mortgage off if I had not been buying craft stash.  My style I believe is quite varied - I do tend to flit from one thing to another - loving all colours and styles.  The only thing I know is that I love layers and detail (aka cluttered) and that I cannot do "clean and simple" to save my life but that does not mean I cannot appreciate the CAS genre as I love to drool over other people's creations and dream if only.  I am very proud to call myself a "papercrafter" and am a member of the Craft Room Challenge, Marianne Design World and Divas and It's all About the Vintage & Beauty design teams.  At the start of the year I had a very full nest (4 of them) at home but come the end of the year I will just have one son left at home - and I now have my own craft room which is lovely. Life is busy with working full-time, granddaughter, local council work and crafting but I consider myself to be blessed and my glass is always half full!  Wishing you all very happy crafting days.  Suzanne xx

A couple of my favourite pieces from Suzanne''s blog

 and Avril

Here's a few words from Avril

I was thrilled to be invited to be the Guest Designer at MMM and its an honour to see my work displayed alongside such a talented team.
I have always had an interest in crafting and was taught to sew and knit as a child.  My love of sewing continued until recently when my friend persuaded me to go to a card class with her. From then I was 'hooked' on cardmaking, hence my blog name 'Mrs. B's  Addiction'  as chosen by my very understanding husband.
Although I enjoy most forms of papercraft, my main passion is stamping, and I do enjoy 'vintage'.

I visited Avril's blog and these are a couple of my favourite pieces of hers

Please do pop over to both girls' blogs and show your appreciation.
