my beloved pc is back in business! sister finally got down to re-connecting it cuz i was complaining like crazy about her sucky laptop...it heats up like the clinic's damned autoclave machine! as if the freak weather these days isn't bad enough..but yes...point is i'm so glad i'm back to using my wonderful, loud-keyboard-clicking pc...actually i blogged last night on her laptop but the stupid cable connection wire got loose just as i clicked the 'publish post' button...was too pissed to retype the whole thing so i'm doing it today instead first things first, happy valentines' day to everyone =) kinda depressing to have your dear valentine stuck in some damned jungle fighting off mosquitoes but well...ce la vie...anw he said we'd celebrate it some other time so i guess i'm not too sore about it...like i was telling my colleague--rather defensively, i might add--v-day's just like any other ordinary day...just that flowers and chocolates happen to more expensive on that day...hur...beginning to sound like some desperate spinster eh...but you gotta admit i make some sense rite? oh well..yesterday had to be the first v-day (in a long time) i wasn't showered with candy and flowers (from good friends, of course *grins*)...except for a single white rose from that rather (cmi) buaya what's-his-name dentist who ordered a whole bunch for all the assistants and female dentists...haha...still, i guess it was quite nice of him to do it... that's not the only thing i received tho...i received what has to be the biggest insult of my life yesterday...my idiotic supervisor actually had the nerve to tell me to sign up for some etiquette course just cuz she caught me writing with my body/head slightly bent and tilted...like honestly...who in the world writes with their back ramrod-straight and the paper aligned perfectly with their torso?! sheesh...and like really! i'm sure i would be taking such advice from someone who refers to it as a "brooming course"! hello? did you mean grooming maybe? and just cuz i happen to write like that doesn't mean i can't handle cutlery (as she so naturally assumed)!! all right...given, my posture (or as she calls it, "poisture") isn't exactly great...but that doesnt' give you the right to condescendingly insinuate my parents didn't bring me up well with respect to manners rite?? i was just seething there...ren-ing silently...all the while maintaining a polite smile...not bad for someone who apparently is in desperate need of a brooming course eh? like who does she think she is? jill lowe?? anw i'm currently out of job...haha! don't get me wrong...i didn't get fired cuz i didn't exactly respond enthusiastically to her suggestion (at least, i'd better not)...was told that since i was gonna be going away next week, and since being a dsa isn't exactly giving me much chance to learn more about being a dentist...they were gonna let me stop and instead, if i'm interested, go down to the clinic and observe...which is--when you think abt it--probably more ideal...still! it's like getting fired man...maybe i really was disastrous as a dsa huh...i'm scarred for life! what if it permanently damages me emotionally and psychologically?! hahaha as you can see, it probably already has...sigh...yeah so i was thinking of going back on wednesday (gotta return some stuff anw...and say bye to the nicer colleagues) to look for dr thong and ask if i could "attach" myself to him (in the job sense! darling don't get jealous)...if not i'll just ask my nbr or something...oh dammit...just realised that that marks the end of $pay$! *weeps* ok i'm sweating like crazy here (dear sun, it wouldn't hurt to take a break once in a while)...think i shall go cool off in my room...cya dudes... week's absence..hurhur...can't really remember wad happened the past week...ok maybe only the weekend...saturday went out with some of the 2/8ers cuz lindy's back! ade abby shui grace me and dee, of course =) been so long since we last met up...(and to peehen: eh think it'll be quite difficult cuz it's cny...and after that ppl would prob be working and stuff rite? haha...but i'm up for it...just that will be away last week of feb) took lots and lots of pics but my memory card's not yet full so er...hahaha...sorry
rite so ade and i left at abt 4.15 cuz she had to work and i had to rush home...waited so damn long for 77! sheesh...in the end i dropped at red house and took a cab back...got home at 5.30 and had 15 min to bathe and pack all my stuff before rushing off to church for sunset Mass...thank goodness my sister drives fast...so i was only slightly late...STILL! i HATE being late for church...usually we'll get there 15 min before it starts...haha...so after Mass had to rush to his place...felt so bad cuz his parents had to wait for me to get there so we could go for dinner...we got up real late the next day then rushed off to the airport to see weiqi off...(wq if you're reading this, i hope everything's all right there...take care!) went back to his house and slacked a while before sending him off...not too sad this time round cuz he'll be booking out again tmr! hehe yay! and then there's today...was made to assist dr tay and it was so damn scary cuz the guy is real fast...and not as patient as dr thong...scary stuff man...and kena scolded by my i/c thanks to dr ***...disliking him more with the days man...like how petty can you get! sheesh...was really pissed but felt better after a while cuz had my other colleagues to talk to...and the new young dentist dr ong came over to talk to me while i was developing his xray...and dr bell too! they were both really friendly...so i figured why should i be bothered with that one grumpy dentist when there are other nicer ones around rite =) so that's that..didn't get much rest during the weekend so i shall go catch up now...nite |
