HOLY COW!

I've tried three times to switch my account per the instructions and it never worked until now! Am I just lame on the computer or is there someone out in cyberspace who has it in for me?

I was feeling guilty yesterday that I hadn't posted anything since my birthday, butthen I checked Marilee's and my mom's and they haven't written anything in an even longer amount of time....

THE BAND

Many of my "fans" wanted to know what the heck is with "the band?" Bill Bollard was in a few bands when he was younger and wanted to do it again. The "Northwood Garage Band" actually started up last spring sometime. Currently, it includes, Bill- the lead vocal and accoustic guitar, Dale Austin (a member of his ward and Justin's new guitar teacher) on bass and vocals, Jim Eaton (my ward- Meredith's dad) on lead guitar, Kevin Knight (a year or two older than me) on drums, and Jennifer Izu on vocals. They have been asking me for a few months to join them. For various reasons it never worked out until the end of January. We practice in the Bollard's garage- much to the chagrin of Christy Bollard- once a week. It is hysterical and tons of fun! I sing with Jen and often dance around the garage like a wild woman :). I probably look like Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday. We're playing at some block party in a month or so and Bill is trying to organize a battle of the bands within our stake. They have performed at three or four other things (before I joined). We do some original stuff the Bill has written, oldies like the Beatles, the Police, the Eagels, etc and we're working on some current things as well. Ryan just rolls his eyes, but it is tons of fun and something I have never done before. All the men have been in multiple bands over the years- Jen and I are the Greenies. Bill referred to the two of us one time as "these fair maidens of Zion" and now the guys are calling the band "The Fair Maidens". Who knows if that will stick...
