Remember the Journey

Shay and Stattyn had the opportunity to go on our Ward Trek. Shay was not so excited about this she hates to camp and she was not at all excited for this day. Stattyn on the other hand was so thrilled that they allowed him to go. Usually you can only go if you are in mutual. This means you have to be 12 yrs old. But this year they decided to take anybody who would turn 12 this yr. so he just barely made it and he was excited..They walked 30 miles in 4 days dressed in pioneer clothes. They divided all the youth into 7 families with a Ma and Pa that were the older youth. They had brother s and Sisters. Then they had Uncles and Aunts that were the leaders in the mutual and other people from our ward. The theme for this trek was "Remember the Journey" There is a song named this and they learned it while there. When the returned home they both sang this song to me and I could feel the spirit so strong as they sang this song..I was on the hunt for this cd.. I heard stories for hours from each of them and the great experiences they had. I am so glad they were able to go and have a good attitude and experience..We have some pretty amazing leaders in our ward who did an excellent job with planning it. The kids were a little worried about what they would eat. They found out before they left they were having oatmeal one morning so Stattyn said Mom on my medical slip will you please put I'm allergic to oatmeal..it was funny but I finally asked what else they were having and found out they would have Muffins and Fruit to go along with it so he would be ok.. They ate better then we ate at home I think. Shay got a bloody nose every night she was there but she still absolutely loved it. To hear them come back and say it really wasn't that bad and we want to go again was great!! They were sunburned and tired but they both had so much Fun!!

Family Time

Miles came home over my birthday so we decided to spend as much time as possible together. We took the kids to Cauldron Lyn that place is amazing but it scares the crap out of me. I made sure the kids knew how close they could get to the edge. We really didn't have to worry to much they were scared to get to close. After we went to Gerties for lunch and then went to Shoshone Falls on the way home it has a ton of water going over the falls right now..The wind was blowing so we were getting pretty wet so we didn't stay there to long we were freezing.

Taesyn takes after his Dad!!

Taesyn doesn't like school very much in fact he really struggles. He has to work twice as hard as all the other kids when it comes to classroom stuff. But this kid can take things apart in no time flat and put it back together just as fast.. He's a little mechanic he wants to know how things work and will sit and watch until he has it figured out. I was out working in the yard and he came around the house with Braxlyn's bike and said mom I want to see if I can put these tires back on. So within minutes he had the tires off,the seat off and the training wheels off. He then showed me that he had got them all off and was going to put them back on. He then had them back on in just a short amount of time. We happened to be at my sister this last week and the weather was pretty crummy so he wasn't aloud outside. He's not a kid to sit in the house and find something to do he has to be active with something constructive.Well my nephew just happens to have a go cart or a (goat cart) as he called it all week,no matter how many times I corrected him it was still a goat cart. So we brought it in the garage put it up on ramps Taesyn found some wood blocks to put on the back tires to make sure it wouldn't fall on him and with jack and few tools he was as happy as could be all week long. He ended up pinching his finger and getting a blood blister but don't all mechanics get those from time to time. That did not stop him at all he was right back out there getting it all ready to go. The motor wasn't working but by the time we left he had got my nephew to get it fixed so he could have a ride. He may struggle with things in school but I hope that he realizes how smart he really is. I've tried to tell my kids your not always going to be good at everything but there is something out there that you will do better in then a lot of other people I think we know what he will excell in!!

Girls Dance Recital!!

The girls had there end of year recital this last week end. It amazes me how much growth they do in just a year. Shaykaela is more graceful when she does her ballet and is just a alla round better dancer then she was last year. Braxlyn well her little group they are just cute it does matter if they are all doing the next step at the same time they have improved this year also for one she cried alot last year and this year she didn't. I love to watch my Girls I think they are beautiful and the best dancers of course.

These are all the cousins that dance this year Shay was taking the picture so she not in it but the are all so cute and did a Fantastic Job!!

Birthday Boy!!

Taesyn is our April Fools Baby and he loves to try and play tricks on us..He has waited and waited for his Birthday to come and finally the BIG day has arrived he has been a stinker this year he was snooping for his birthday presents and ended up finding them. Luckily I had already wrapped them and threatned to take them back if he didn't stay out..He was fine after he found them I guess he just wanted to make sure I hadn't forgot to get him something. So first thing this morning he had to get ready for school so he could open his presents. He got right up and was ready before I knew it. Miles called to wish him a Happy Birthday and Taesyn told him what he had got he really wanted Dad to come home for his Birthday but it will be a bit before he can come so we will celebrate again when Dad gets home..Taesyn got a new combine and corn chopper and was really excited and then a new John Deere hat which today just happened to be hat day at school so he was thrilled to wear it to school he also chose KFC for dinner this is a new find for him and he loves chicken so what more could this kid want I think he got everything he was wanting..Happy 7th Birthday Taesyn we love you!!

Saydie

This sweet little girl is one of the kids I have babysat for the last year and half. She has so much personality shes fun, loving, full of spunk, and shy around people she doesn't know. She's one of Braxlyn's Best Friends they always tell each other they love each other. She has been diagnosed with leukemia and is at Primary Childrens Hospital. She is at one of the best hospitals and they will take good care of her.. I love these kids as if they are my own.I have cried because I am scared for her and her family. I wish there was some way to take the pain away and not have to have her go through all the treatments. She has along road ahead of her,So if everyone could just keep her in your prayers it would mean so much..Thanks!!

These are her cute sisters!!
