Beauty Queen
This week was the Lovell Mustang Days Celebration. There were all kinds of festivities! On Saturday they had a kiddie parade before the big Main Street parade. Mike asked Whitney if she wanted to be in the parade on Friday and that's all she could talk about. "I ride my quade in the parade!" I decided that she should wear her sash and tiara from the Little Miss Wyoming Pageant she was in--isn't that what beauty queens wear to the parade?! :) She loved riding her quad, but was a little slow, so Daddy hooked up his belt and pulled her along. After the kiddie parade, she rode the quad around the car dealership where we were sitting with our friends. All of our friends' little boys were following her around. She thought she was hot stuff!
Pink Quad
A couple of months ago Mike was looking at some motorcycles at an online auction. He pulled up a picture of a pink quad and showed Whitney. Her response was, "That's my pink quad." So we called Grandpa K. to tell him. When we went to the dunes, Grandpa came through! Whitney absolutely loves her quad! She rides it "like Daddy." She did not want to get off and she takes at least one ride a day in the back yard! She's a little motorhead already!
Dunes
A couple of weeks ago we went to St. Anthony, Idaho to the sand dunes. The weather, unfortunately, was really crummy (it rained every day!), but we had good company & a trailer!! My Uncle Kelley drove over from Washington and my Uncle Mitch came up from California and we drove over to Idaho. My parents met us the next day with the motorhome. The guys had some fun out riding. Mike took some great pictures! I'm sure we will be making more trips to the dunes!

Enjoy the Ride
We had a great quote on the back of our ward bulletin yesterday and I thought it was worth sharing!
"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed.
"Most putts don't drop. Most beef is tough. Most children grow up to be just people. Most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration. Most jobs are more often dull than otherwise.
"Life is like an old-time rail journey--delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Jenkins Loyd Jones, June 12, 1973
The quote went wonderfully with my lesson in Young Women about keeping a journal. There was also a talk by President Eyring about keeping journals in the lesson. There is a YouTube video of that talk that I think is worth sharing too: http://www.youtube.com/MormonMessages#all/59A88EF0AD2EBBF7-all/1/DF01BQAcj8E
I am grateful to the Lord for letting me have this ride. I hope that I can start to recognize more and more the blessings He has given me.

More Bags!
Wow I can't believe the response I've had with the bags! They will definitely be added to my craft show booths this fall! I've decided to sell two different sizes of bags.
The Nicole Bag is 13 inches--it's a great purse size. It's small for a diaper bag, but I use it to keep a couple of diapers, wipes and a change of clothes for each of my kids. The Nicole bag sells for $15.
The Chelsey Bag is 15 inches--it's a great small diaper bag size or a great beach bag/running around/toy bag. The Chelsey bag sells for $18.
For all of you out there who would like to order one, please send me an e-mail at whitneysbows@gmail.com with the bag(Nicole or Chelsey) and the colors you would like. I can pretty much make any color combination that you would like. The pictures are for ideas! I can't wait to make them for you!
You know you're getting old...
More zoot
My mom's favorite exhibit this trip had to be the brown bears. When we got to the exhibit one of the bears was in the water toward the back of the pond. I turned around to try to get Whitney out of the stroller. While I was turned around, my mom said, "Watch out Nicole!" I turned around to find the second brown bear swimming in the pond right toward the glass--right toward me. I jumped and screamed, sending my mom into hysterics! We had a great time watching the bears swim and scratch their backs!
Zoot
Vacation
Whitney in her hula girl outfit from Grandma & Grandpa's trip to Hawaii. She asked me if the coconuts were her glasses!
Whitney got to go to the park with Grandpa a couple of times, unfortunately the park trips were cut short by her falling asleep in the swing each time. My mom asked Whitney about taking her to the park another day and she said, "I go park with Grandpa." We did a little shopping--I love being able to just run up to the mall for an hour! I got pampered with a mani/pedi! Whitney got to splash in the ocean and just loved it! She's definitely a water girl. We got to eat out at some yummy restaurants and just hang out with the family! I can't wait for them to come here next week!
