Meyer Family Shower

My dad's cousin Jan and Pat gave me a wonderful shower on Saturday. We had brunch and they read a cute little story called, "Mom, There's Nothing To Do In Here" They put so much effort into the party, it looked so cute and every detail was covered. Mike, Ava, and I came out pretty good! The ladies have great taste!

I Hope This Guy Doesn't Win The Election

Here is an interesting video a friend showed me about Borack Obama. How can anyone vote for this guy after watching this video? It's 13 mins long but well worth watching. Very interesting.

Here is the web address if you would like to share this video with others:

6 Weeks To Go!

We can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Christy only has 6 more weeks to go in her pregnancy. This wednesday we start our "Great Expectations" birth prep class. Hopefully she doesn't go into labor early becuase the class goes until the end of July. (we were a little late in signing up for the class lol) Here are a couple of the latest belly pics.

Father's Day Ping Pong Fun

For Father's day we went to Christy's parents for dinner. Afterwards we busted out the ping pong table and had some fun outside. The dogs kept chasing the ball when it hit the ground and a few times they actually got it in there mouths. yuk! Dinner was great and the ping pong games were fun. Christy's dad was the champ that evening.

Name Game

I saw this first on Mark and Shalon's blog so I'm not going to take credit for finding it. I thought it was pretty interesting. I think I have everyone dominated in the most popular name. Check out our results.

A New Addition to Our Family

Unexpectedly (i think that's the word im looking for) we got a new addition to our family on Monday. No, Christy did not have the baby early. It all started Saturday afternoon when I was looking on craigslist at trucks. I've been looking for a 4 door tacoma for about 1-2 months now. When I first started looking I saw this cool silver one that looked awesome, but the guy was asking 15k for it. I thought that's too much I can't get that thing. So I just kept looking week after week also checking at the Sierra College Auto Fair. It was hard to find a nice looking truck in my price range, that was still in decent shape. Well, Saturday I'm on craigslist again and I notice the guy reposted the first truck I fell in love with and he had lowered his asking price to 14,650. I thought "dang, that's still a lot of money" but I would email an offer anyways. So I emailed him and offered 12k for it thinking he wouldn't even respond back. Sunday afternoon I check my email and he wrote back that he can't let it go for less than 13,300. So I emailed him right back and said sorry the absolute most I can afford at this time is 12,500 and that I would understand if he didn't take the offer. A little while later he responds saying it's a deal and to call him so we can complete the transaction. I thought "Holy smokes. What did I just get myself into?" So I call my friend's dad Bob, who is a car broker. He says that it would be an awesome deal if the truck is what he says it is. So I call the guy and set up a time to meet him on Monday evening. I take Bob with me and he inspects it and says its all in good shape and even talks the guy down another 200 bucks for me!!! So I get the truck for 12,300! We have fallen in love with it already. It has so much room in the back, for a carseat you know, and it runs great.

Thanks to the bank of Sidney Kelly for giving me the loan I needed. haha Now I have to sell my Mitsubishi to pay it off.
