Glissando.. Not

When I gave God an inch, He didn't just remain faithful to my efforts for Him, but returned me a mile. When you are willing to go even an inch for God, He would give you a mile.
God recognises our efforts and will reward us according to what we have accomplished. He wants to reward us for the good work that we have done. He is not waiting to condemn us. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways and do a good work in His name, He will reward us, He will be very pleased.

He sees the effort that I made in overcoming the obstacles consistently over a long stretch. I am human, each time my effort varies. But He does not nitpick on my inconsistencies or my occasional shortcomings but considers the effort that I have made over the long run. I am proud of myself for running such a long race, a feat that I have never attempted before. I can focus on that instead.

I finished the challenge that I gave myself. I fell short at the end, yes, but it does not mean that He does not recognise what I have contributed so far. I think it is really significant. Of all my accomplishments.. This is one that is of tremendous significance. Never thought I could have a breakthrough in this area. I feel really encouraged.

I have more challenges to run.

I will challenge myself again. I will challenge myself to continue running and to run twice as far and learn not to condemn myself if it does not end as I thought. It is the progress, the many successes that I had within this race, that is significant.

I still have the opportunity to pick up where I left off even though it feels twice as hard when you remember that it's like having to start all over again, but I think I can really challenge myself to run. I can challenge myself to quickly pick up speed and get back on track. I think the key is to gain momentum. It can propel you forward repeatedly. I believe I can do it with God's help.

This is how we increase our capacity. Through hard work and consistent effort and many, many periodical races. I have no stamina so I can't do an endurance run for the whole of my life, but I can do periodical races to build my endurance. Each race will last longer and longer. Short races in the long race. Character, patience, virtue, etc, are not built in a single night. Nothing is ever built in a single night (SPs always teach us this principle).

Because of who He is. Because He always gives us way more than we do.

Side revelation: Sincerity is not everything. Some people are sincere, but they can be sincerely wrong.
