If true:
Gun used in Paris Attacks was a Fast and Furious gun...came from Phoenix gun store.....
So, if this is true....a gun from the US was smuggled into France....Where guns are illegal.
Odd, just like Heroin or Cocaine, only the countries have changed...
I would have thought it would have come from Algiers or Syria.....Less travel. Likely easier to get it across a border than through customs.
Unless, of course, you think that Barry had it planned to stimulate gun control and prevent such "Easy Access To Guns" and such.
I am the extremist your Government warned you about.... Remember: "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch".....But you can help when you buy your AMAZON purchases through my links at no cost to you.

Not yet dismissed:
One wonders why he is still a judge?
I see absolutely no value to a judge of spending decades, years, months, weeks, day, hours, minutes, or seconds studying the Constitution, the history of its enactment, its amendments, and its implementation (across the centuries—well, just a little more than two centuries, and of course less for many of the amendments). Eighteenth-century guys, however smart, could not foresee the culture, technology, etc., of the 21st century. Which means that the original Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the post–Civil War amendments (including the 14th), do not speak to today. David Strauss is right: The Supreme Court treats the Constitution like it is authorizing the court to create a common law of constitutional law, based on current concerns, not what those 18th-century guys were worrying about.
Why hasn't he been dismissed? (or shot for abandoning his oath...?)
From Wikipedia:
In the United States, federal judges are required to take two oaths. The first oath is this:
I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as (office) under the Constitution and laws of the United States. [So help me God.][74]
The second is the same oath that members of Congress take:
I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. [So help me God.][73]
Federal statute specifically says that the latter oath "does not affect other oaths required by law."[75]

Do you know how to figure out if someone is a vegetarian?
(or a Vegan?)
You don't have to figure it out.
They will tell you themselves within 5 minutes of meeting you.

AAANDDD a big "FUCK YOU"
Civil liberties and exercise thereof.
So if you are considered dangerous enough that when placed on the no fly list (or terrorist watch list) that you should not be able to fly, or, as the Democrats are pushing, not buy able to buy a firearm....
Then shouldn't inclusion of the No Fly List preclude you from serving as a leader of the country?
I mean, you could do more damage in Congress than you could with a firearm and a few magazines....
Why should you not be able to buy a firearm if the TSA has you on one of it's lists?
Because Orlando.
Where the perpetrator wasn't on the No fly list.
But gun control. So there.

OUT!
So the Brits (as a country) chose to leave the EU.
Smart move, IMO.
But what happened to the Independent spirit of Scotland?
At least the Brits don't have to spend their wealth to prop up Greece and other countries......And they won't be forced to accept other peoples immigrants without limi. (and IMO, it was border control that put the decision over the top...).
Britain has taken a step towards independence. A MAJOR step toward self governance once more.
Perhaps there is hope for the British, after all.
I must say I expected a bit of vote manipulation to make the verdict go the other way.....

Proving they are not fit to govern
Perhaps we DO need new gun control legislation.
Perhaps. (Probably not, but let us be open minded here)
But such legislation, such far reaching rules, that will affect millions of people, which may make billions of dollars of firearms now legally owned by people suddenly illegal, should be thought through carefully.
Insisting that such far reaching legislation with such provisions as limiting gun ownership (or purchases) by those on a non-vetted list such as No Fly or Terrorist Watch, that would infringe upon the freedom of our citizens be rushed, without any debate, without any review, with no real planning, is foolish.
Perhaps we do need such laws. (I don't think so) But only after much consideration. Not in reaction.
But these games, they play are stupid and childish. Worse, they show that they think their constituents are stupid. These antics show the contempt they have for our system of government and the people who elected them to be their representatives. If they REALLY care about gun violence and feel that We Must Do Something, then why weren't they Doing Something the week or month BEFORE the Orlando murders? Where was their legislation then? Where was their debate then? Where was their outrage then? These 49 murders, while tragic, are a rounding error in the daily deaths in our country. Tragic, yes, But statistically insignificant in the grand schem f deaths in our cities.
If they really cared about fixing the issues, they would be fixing them, rather than reacting to event and being all emotional and such.
'Cause real leaders would't just play such games.

Bummr
Remember the incident with the mis-ordered 1911 I had discussed on my Range Day post?
Yeah, Gander Mountain just Emailed me.....the day the pistol was supposed to arrive:
"Sorry, we are cancelling your order because we don't have one and don't know when we will get any more."
Remember us for your future firearm needs....
Which sucks, because 34% discount....
Plus free shipping.
Or not, as the case may be.
I am exploring my options at this time.

Hiding the truth
So the DOJ censored/edited the 911 call from Omar Matteen to hide any reference to islam?
Wonder who ordered that?
I am not certain that the attack in Orlando was motivated solely by ideology, but still....Trying to hide what we already were aware of?
This action shows how arrogant the Obama minions are, and how stupid they think the public is (I guess, since he got re-elected he may not be entirely wrong there, but still)
One wonders why he tries to hide the identities of these people? Is he Muslim and is simply practicing taqiyya...? Trying to keep the rest of the citizens from rising in outrage?
ETA: seems that they have reversed the stance, and have released the unedited/uncensored tapes.
Pretty stupid to even try, really. Might have gotten away with that 30 years ago, but today? Not a chance. I guess he thought that the News Media would follow along.

Truth:
“You don’t have a constitutional right to come to America."
About time someone in Government realized this.
I am the descendant of immigrants. They came, they assimilated, they loved this country over the one they left. They made this country their own, and they loved it for the opportunities it offered and the freedoms it bestowed upon them. They made a life here, and they chose to stay and they chose to be CITIZENS.

Suspicion is all it will take:
First, of course, they want to ban anyone on the no fly list. A list wherein you are added just because some bureaucrat says you belong on the list...based on unknown criteria.
With, effectively, no way off....and you won't know you are on until you are told that you can't fly. Might be a similar name. Maybe because you are a member of a club that someone else on the No Fly list belongs to....Maybe because you pissed off some TSA flunky one day. (No one really knows how you get on the list....)...AND THERE IS NO METHOD TO APPEAL YOUR BEING ON THE LIST unless you can get a senator to intervene.....
Then they want the Terror Watch list. Same thing, really. No one knows how you get on the list, and really no one knows they ARE on the list. And if you did discover that you were on the list, there is no way to appeal or have your listing reviewed.
Seems to me,. that if your right to fly is to be restricted, then you are too dangerous to be walking the streets. Same with the Terror Watch list. After the Paris Attacks, the authorities KNEW who to detain, question, and subsequently arrest. Those folks were already on the watch list....they just rounded 'em up. How many died, how many lives were destroyed or forever altered because those folks on the French Watch list were allowed to run around and do their dastardly deeds (or aid those who DID do the deeds)?
If you are truly a danger, enough that you are on the Watch list, or the No Fly list, you should be under arrest and detained by the Feds while they investigate to make their case.....Or you should be investigated and released. The criteria are either too lax or the criteria aren't being properly implemented in either case.
Here is the thing: If due to suspicion you are deemed dangerous enough to be denied a Constitutional right, then you should be JAILED for the goosd of socienty and your fellow citizens. If you aren't that dangerous, then no denial of rights should happen.
Now they want to restrict a Constitutional right based upon a list that is poorly vetted (if indeed, it is vetted at all).
And now, Senator Bob Casey wants to restrict your Constitutionally guaranteed Second Amendment rights because of "Hate Speech"? Not of conviction of Hate Speech, but SUSPICION of hate speech. (Sidebar here: How does "Hate Speech" laws reconcile with Free Speech? . When did an opinion or statement of belief become against the law? How do the two reconcile? And why aren't anti gunners who post those terrible tweets and missives (and wish me dead and such) in comments on HuffPo articles arrested and charged with Hate Speech? How about those muslims (and Presidential Preachers) who say "death to America!" (Is it because some hate speech is ok and other kinds are not? Who decides?)
Again though: Senator Casey wants to restrict your rights based on SUSPICION....not conviction....SUSPICION. What is next? At what point will we stop?
Much of what I write here could be, under some criteria, used as evidence of suspicion of hate speech/WrongThink....By someone who wants to point me out to suspend my rights.....and in their perfect world, I will never get my "Speedy Trial" either.....
And after me? You. Yep, you. You returned here many times, therefore you must agree with me.....Turn over your guns and other rights, Citizen.

Range day Friday....good and bad.
So my younger brother brought my nephew to see me from Illinois, and we spent the afternoon at the range shooting rimfire.
He (nephew) has his maternal grandfathers Remington 511 "ScoreMaster" which I cleaned and lubed when it was given to him about a year ago (the thing hadn't had more than 100 rounds through it, and, aside from petrified gun oil and dust was, actually, in perfect condition) Has a tiny thin 4X scope on it, but in bright sunny conditions that works very well.
We called my other brother and my Dad for a range day. All had fun. 3 generations on a range. This is why we win. There is no equivalent "(Anti) range day" that can compete.
We poked a few holes in paper at 25, then 50, yards, rang the gongs at 50 yards. Then knocked over bowling pins at 50 yards (nephew really likes that).
His dad (my youngest brother) put a few hundred rounds through the Marlin lever action ,22 model 1897. I think I am gonna get him one for Christmas, if I can find one. Or a 39M.
Nephew liked the Savage bolt gun too, but not as much as grandad's rifle.
Of course, everyone likes the Non-Ruger 10-22 in Red/White/Blue. 2 lb trigger, Big 4-10 X 60 scope, What's not to like?
Dad shot his 9mm pistol, and we all shot his recently-found Springfield .22 single shot (no model number that I can find). It has extraction issues, but I am sure I can fix that. Clean, no rust, good trigger. Likely old as shit as there is no serial number that I can find.
I did put 25 rounds through the Para LDA with the new Kimber spring (the original Para spring is, of course, not available, and is now at over twice the recommended round count for replacement...., and Remington (who says they will honor the lifetime warranty) doesn't have parts and is no help...The Kimber coaxial spring fits (with a bit of filing) and appears to work just fine.
That was all good...
The disappointment:
The Sig 1911 that I had bought?
Not so good.
I had cleaned it of the factorygoo lube and lubed it. Swabbed the barrel of same goo. Reassembled... Just hadn't gotten to the range.
Today was the day. Pulled it out of the box....Middle bro was waiting his turn to shoot it.....
Went to load a mag.:
Odd: the cartridges won't go into the mag?
Lets try the other mag:
Same thing? WTF?
Middle bro is looking at me like I am a window licking special needs kid (the ones they make wear a helmet).
I hand him the mag and some .45 ACP.
He can't seem to load 'em either. (he, while he has his moments, isn't stupid...or retarded). Yes, I know some folks find that term offensive....Deal with it.
Hands mag back to me....
I look at base of mag....
odd, it is stamped "9mm".
Well, that might could be the issue....I suppose even Sig can make a mistake.....
He offers me a Wilson Combat 8 rounder for .45 from his pistol.... I load 2 (first time firing). Begin to insert the mag in the magwell....
I stop for a minute and look closely at the barrel.
It too says "9MM".
Strange....I
thought I had purchased a .45.
Paper work (still in box) says .45?
I WAS tempted to shoot it..we had a shitload of 9 there.
But I didn't. Put it away
Got back from the range. Called Gander Mountain where I had ordered it..
They "don't take guns back".
Usually.
Explained the issue.
Surprisingly for a big box corporate store, once they had looked up the order, they asked me to bring the pistol back.
Took a while, 4 managers to do different overrides, but they have now ordered the correct model and it will be here on Wed.
When I bought it, I had checked the serial number to make sure it matched the box and paperwork, but I didn't check the barrel for caliber. I had ordered a .45 and (foolishly) thought that was what had come. My bad, I guess.
Kind of a bummer, but I do have to say that the Gander Mountain staff handled it well. Treated me well. Apologized over and over.
It isn't that you made a mistake, it is how you fix the mistake that counts.

How does he sit there with his pants on fire?
"I would sue any President that exceeds his or her powers."
What a lying sack of excrement.
Were that the case, Barry and he would be in court right now. Would have been from about the 4th month of the first terms of Barry the Magnificent (gun) salesman.
But I must have missed the court cases. Perhaps the Media isn't reporting them....

How long
Until Cheaper than Dirt (no link from me, I won''t ever link to them nor buy from them again) jacks the pricing on ammo and mags through the roof again once the panic hits. Do you remember $89 PMags? .
I remember. And you should too.
I remember. And you should too.
A thought:
Since these attacks nearly always have a "Muslim" theme to the, yet they are all "Isolated Incidents" according to Authorities. (whose authority, BTW?) .....
Then why are all gun owners attacked and out Second amendment at risk by the Gun Grabbers? They are, after all, "Isolated incidents", right? Just deranged individuals. Not because of religion, not because of guns. Just "isolated incidents".
'Cause we can blame the religion just like they blame the guns....
So does this mean we get to restrict Muslims? Perhaps set a curfew? Allow them to be searched at any time? Subject to special licensing? Muslim Permits? Limits on how many children they can have? How many muslims can be in a house at one time without proper storage? Mandatory child locks on teachings?
Yust a thought

Gotcha!
So I am in for my annual physical:
Which includes "The Finger".
The doc does the deed, and then I look over my shoulder and said "Don't waste your breath telling me about self examinations, Doc....Ain't gonna happen".
He laughed...Hard.
I am apparently good for another year or 34,000 miles, whichever comes first....

Can't stand the little drama queen
Having said that, he (or she, depending on her (his) mood) has an excellent idea:
Help gay people find (and get) firearms training.
I will say this. I am in Northwest Indiana. If you are in need of training, or just want to explore firearms, I will teach you for free. Gay, straight, lesbian, bi, trans, (other) I really don't care. I am a certified NRA instructor and will teach you for free. If you want to use the NRA materials and get a certificate I will only charge what they charge me.

This might not go well, actually
In fact, it might well turn out very poorly.
I am an NRA member, because I have to be to be a member of my range and to gain my instructor credentials so I can teach people and get my liability insurance....
But I really don't trust 'em.
Trump to meet with NRA about banning gun sales for terror watch list.
I'm afraid that the NRA will roll over on this. And I really don't think that Donald is a friend of the Second Amendment except when it is convenient. I'd rather he asked the SAF.....
ETA: To clarify: I oppose this measure because the lists are secret, there is little investigation before a person is placed on the list, it takes little more than suspicion (although DHS wont tell us their criteria), and there is no right of, or procedure for, appeal. Until these are rectified, I cannot endorse, and do, in fact, oppose using these lists for any criteria in buying a gun.
I don't want terrorists to be able to purchase firearms. But if there is a reason to deny any of our freedoms, then you should either be jailed, or have your day in court. Mere suspicion is not a valid reason.

'Twas pointed out to me...
That Liberals will condemn you for having an opinion of Glowbal Warming Climate change when you aren't a degreed Climate Scientist (who gets paid for research into....global warming) because they claim you know nothing about such things....
But they have no qualms making statements and having an opinion of "Assault rifles" and other guns even though they have never held one in their hands, much less shot one.
Double standards and all that....

Have you noticed
That the Gun Massacres were few and far between until the Gun Control folks began their push?
(Even CNN has noted this ) (via Tam)
And there are so many things that make the Conspiracy folks go crazy in every story. Sometimes I wonder if they are right.
Ferinstance, this guy's story has a lot of holes in it (starting about 2:40) ("The bullet was as big as my finger and it was sticking out of his leg (shows 6 inches)").... Makes one wonder. (Plus admitting that you might have trapped others to die?)
It would seem that the incident of gun massacres are increasing. I am beginning to wonder if they are all real whackjobs (as opposed to staged things) especially when I see "witnesses" like the above...It is odd that we had so few until a few years ago....Almost as if the farther behind the gun grabbers get,the harder they try the murderous gun whackos grow bolder....
Odd that.

I figure that the Donald won
As of last night about 2 AM....
Once it came out that it was an Islamic Terrorist that did the killings, he is likely a winner.
Hillary is blaming the guns, and the lack of "common sense gun control"....But the killer was a licensed Security Guard (Background Check) had purchased a firearm in the week previous from an FFL (NICS Check) Concealed Carry holder (Background Check) and had been checked out by the FBI several times in the previous years.
All of which prove that these checks do nothing.
If Trump can find a way to articulate the issue....Islamic Radicals/Unhindered immigration....then he can win here, without dancing in the blood of the victims.

I was a bit dsgusted
At a High School graduation party. One person stated that it was only "faggots" who were shot.
I replied that they were my countrymen, whether I agreed with their lifestyle or not.
Turned my back and walked away before I said something I shouldn't have and ruined a party.

I predict this will work out well:
Federal Officials Push To Urbanize Suburbia Under New HUD Regulation
Yeah, I expect that the folks in Suburbia will welcome their new low income neighbors.
People moved to the Suburbs for a reason.
They don't want the inner city to follow them.
This will help to foster the racial healing and homgenization that Barry wants.
Everywhere it has been tried, crime has increased 5 fold.

Those Amish:
SO apparently an Amish youth shot a bunch of people in an Orlando gay club to mark the Start of Ramadan. (No names given, even though they have the shooter...or at least his remains, so I assume that true to form, when they don't give a name at first, it must be an Amish guy...)
Police say it may be Terrorism. Nationality of the shooter(s) unknown. (Although if it had been a white guy, a black guy, an Hispanic guy, or a chinese guy we'd have been told immediately (especially had it been a white guy and a christian))...the fact that his ethnicity and such hasn't been stated tells us what they are....)
20 dead, 40+ injured.
Prayers for all involved.
ETA: Definitely Amish. Named Omar Saddiqui Mateen, (surprisingly, they actually named the dude) A us Citizen of Afghani ancestry. "This is not about religion".
May be more than 50 dead. State of emergency called.

Proceed:
So The Big Hill of boy style Gooses called and said my new 1911 was in.
And, despite what they say on the Leftist Media, I had to endure yet another Form 4473 (this one electronic) and, of course the video from the BATF(e) telling me "Don't lie for the other guy". (Odd, that, I was under the impression that currently I could just walk in and take home any gun that met my fancy...but it wasn't true)
There is always the slight ....Well, fear isn't the right word, but perhaps apprehension...that THIS time the BATF(e) is gonna say "No". Not because I have any convictions or domestic violence, or any of the valid reasons to deny me,l but that somewhere, some asshole has transposed two numbers on some other dirtbag's Social Security number on the arrest record or some other bureaucratic fuck-up, or that some other dude with the same name as me is gonna get arrested for beating up his girlfriend and her pet ferrett while high on meth or whatever, and the folks at BATF(e) aren't gonna know that is wasn't me...
I fear Bureaucratic Incompetence (rather than malice) inhibiting the free exercise of my Constitutional rights.
But last night, once again, I rolled the dice and the (so far) benign hand of the BATF(e) waved acceptance.
My it is a sweet, tight fitted gun.
Range report in a week or so. I got Graduations and such to attend this weekend. And I gotta detail strip, clean and lube this before I shoot it.
Now if only Michael Hast was still making holsters....
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Not Colt, but still:
The lusty Colt, the trusty Colt,
The weapon democratic,
It's vicious might, makes men one height,
The Army automatic.

Looks like it is gonna be SIG:
Was shopping and saw the Sig 1911. Nice gun. Pricey though.
Full size.
stainless.
Adjustable night sights.
Price (list) is very salty, but they offered me a really really decent discount.
Price was below what I could buy it through my club, even.
Total was about the same as what I could build a Caspian for (actually less...it is the little parts that kill you there. The Frame/slide barrel is bad enough, but then each other part costs you $25/$50/$70...the total is a lot of cash. Plus no fitting of parts for me.... Barrel to bushing, slide to frame, sear to trigger...disconnector.... grip safety...safety. all fitted by SIG. Trigger strut. Leaf spring. ...Too much fitting....and no warranty, really
Gah. For the same (or actually about 35% less) cost, I get one of THESE from SIG....no work to put together and make it work.....with a lifetime warranty . Of course, I have several Para brand pistols with a lifetime warranty.....except they areout of business part of Remington. Which means no parts except aftermarket and no service, really. So the "lifetime warranty is only as long as SIG doesn't go bankrupt. Which they probably won't. At least not in the near future....
And those of you pushing Kimber? I looked a 'em. Fit and finish, not so great quality not what they once were. Better than the Remington, but not better than the Sig. Or better even than the Colt. Sad.... Kimber was once a fine brand. Now? I dunno. I seriously doubt that the Kimbers or the Remingtons I looked at will go 10,000 rounds without failing...(I have several 1911's that have passed that mark). I could be wrong, but probably not. (to be fair, I consider springs and extractors to be wear parts, really.) But other parts should last well past 10K without failing. And I doubt those brands will. .Nor, likely will a lot of "major" brands. (see also, Taurus and Ruger....and others. ) I have a Rock Island that has gone over 14K, but that is unusual... And 10K rounds is a little over 5 years for me. Quality guns last, others don't.
My new gun is supposed to be here Thursday. We will see.

Dark of the moon, sixth of June.
Remember those brave men.
Young, no doubt scared out of their wits. In a boat. landing on a fortified beach.
And the folks who flew in on a glider earlier.
Likely not really sure why they were doing it.
But following orders because their country asked them.
They weren't ready. and they knew it. But they went anyway.
Balls.
Big ones.
Sadly, most of Europe doesn't remember or care, really.
But some of us remember.
Thanks Gentlemen. I wasn't even born yet, but I thank you.

$15/hour?
So I like McDonalds coffee. I like their hot chocolate too.
I really like them mixed together.
So once a week or so I go to a McDonalds, order a small black coffee (8 oz), order a small hot chocolate (8 oz) and ask them to make the hot chocolate in a large cup and top it of with the coffee (16 oz)...
Almost invariably, with one exception (and this includes managers) they make a small hot chocolate in a small cup (measured and dispensed by a machine, mind you, all they do is push a button for "small hot chocolate) then they pour a small cup of coffee and then pour each of those into a large (16 oz) cup.
Apparently, (with one exception) these folks cannot understand that 8 plus 8 equals 16......so they waste two cups.
It is as if the idea of any innovation is beyond them.
But they think they are worth $15 per hour.
Most of the ones I see ain't worth $3 per hour.
Oddly, When I (and my friends) worked for minimum wage (admittedly a LONG time ago), I (we) tried to learn, and excel and BE WORTH MORE so I could get paid more. Or found a job that did pay more. Demanding more money at a fast food place was an exercise in frustration...

Yeah, that was insensitive. I know. I don't care.
If that offends you, grow a thicker skin.

Info bleg
Gun Gurus (and Goddesses) and those who think they are.....
So I think that, before the next election, I will buy a new stainless 1911.
(yes, I know GLOCKs and M&P are better, Don't care.) I like the 1911 platform, the manual of arms is what I trained to, I find 'em pretty reliable, I like a thumb safety and a grip safety. Don't want a trigger safety I am Old School. I like 'em and that is what I am gonna buy....
Get off my lawn.
Anyway, I am looking for suggestions. More or less true 1911A-1 (I have a Para that I really like which, with the exception of the Power Extractor is a 1911A-1...but they are out of business and Remington isn't keeping parts in stock for the warranty, so it will likely become a safe queen or a nightstand gun....
Gotta be stainless. I am one of those people whose sweat eats blued steel (and, to a lesser extent, parkerized and nitrided) without constant care. Constant. Care. There isn't a gun protection product out there that will last more than a range session.
God's Own Caliber, of course.
I don't want an Ed Brown or anything like that (well, I do, but I can't justify that kind of scratch....and they don't seem to run reliably and I don't need that kind of accuracy...minute of dirtbag will do just fine. If I can shoot 4" at 25 yards, that will do. This is a pistol, not a sniping rifle) Decent sights are needed of course...I will likely be carrying it sometimes.
So, Suggestions? Brands to stay away from? Horror stories or attaboys?
ETA: Gonna have to say that Kimber doesn't fit the bill either, sadly. Big bucks, the ones I have encountered weren't much better than the other 1911's out there (but $1400 instead of $550 or $650)...Kimber trades on their name these days, rather than their quality. Have owned 2 and both got returned to the shop because they weren't tuned right out of the box and Kimber wasn't terribly interested in fixing them quickly..... and I am not a fan of the Schwartz safety. And it really isn't a 1911-A1...close, but not quite there.
ETA 2: No, a GLOCK trigger isn't faster than a 1911. (maybe for someone who shoots for a living, but few non-professional shooters with GLOCK's can beat me or anyone I shoot with that carries a 1911)....The safety is a part of the draw and doesn't slow anyone with a bit of training down. (A reply to an email where my reply bounced)
