The holiday season

Putting up the tree....
I LOVE the smell of a christmas tree in our house. It starts the season off right!

St. Nick
Udine always seems to be a naughty boy when St. Nick comes.  ;)  He got coal again!  This year the coal was actually candy and as Alessandro was looking at it he noticed it was a wrapper.  He was very intrigued.  :)

Cabelas
We always go to Cabelas with the cousins to visit Santa.  Mia was nervous to sit on his lap at first but I kept talking to her about it while we were in line and she warmed up to the idea by the time we got to him and she was ok with it.  She may not have loved it but at least she didn't cry!!  Diego has been asking for a drums for Christmas and we keep telling him Santa probably won't bring that because we don't have room in the house, etc.  So when he went to talk to Santa he told him that he wanted a skateboard or drums.  To which Santa replied "Ooh, I don't know about drums, those are pretty loud.  I'm not sure I can do that, but the skateboard is a possibility".  It was hilarious!!  So Diego came up to us and said "You were right, he won't bring drums."   hahahaha

Christmas decoration or toys??

When I pulled out the Christmas decorations the kids all gravitated towards the pillows. Mia thought they were her toy dolls to play with and the boys decided to have pillow fights with them. Needless to say, one pillow has already had a piece ripped off and I seem to be picking up the snowmen and santa constantly because Mia refuses to leave them alone!! (I did put a stop to the pillow fights....I know, I'm a party pooper) I'm sure someday I'll look back and miss when my kids would take them off the couch, but for now, I just sigh and shake my head when I'm picking up the pillows for the 20th time that day. ;)

Videos

Some fun videos....Rockin out to rockband

Pillows

Whenever the grandkids in my family turn 2, my mom sends them a little pillow with a special pillowcase.  She then sends a new pillowcase for each season (christmas, halloween, etc).  The kids love it and after a year they have a collection of pillowcases they get to change for each holiday.  Mia just got hers and LOVES it!!  She carries it everywhere.  She got this pink blues clues one, but now has a christmas minnie mouse one that she is very excited about.  It's fun for all the kids.  Thanks mom!!

This is when Diego and Alessandro got their pillows.  They were so excited and could not stop wrestling with them.  :)  (I couldn't find any pictures of Luca with a pillow...not sure why.)  :(

Fall fun

Fall time always brings raking time and you can't rake without having fun in the leaves!!  I love watching the kids play in the leaves, it's like a special treat or something and they think it's the greatest.

I hate getting so far behind!!

Now I feel like I have a million things to blog about!  I know I could skip some of it, but I want to remember it in years to come.  And lets be honest, if I don't write it down I probably won't.  :(  Anyway...lets start with Thanksgiving.  We try to go on little family trips over thanksgiving, usually to CA.  The last two years we weren't able to make it, so we felt blessed and fortunate that we could do it this year.  We went to Disneyland and California Adventures.  It was a blast!  Everyone really enjoyed it!  Although, I will admit, it was a little harder this time with four kids than it was last time with two.  :)  But really, all the kids were great.  The only times the younger ones fussed a little was when we had to wait because the older kids were going on bigger rides.  We tried to stay together as a family so Diego didn't go on all the rides he wanted, but I think he was ok with that.  He's a good trooper and didn't complain about it.  Mia's favorite ride was King Titan's Carousel, , Luca's was Soarin' Over California, Alessanro's was Space Mountain and Diego's was Thunder Mountain Railroad, and everybody LOVED the teacups and trying to spin as fast as they could.  Well, I skipped it cause I probably would have lost my lunch, but everyone else went on a few times.   Oh and Toy Story Mania was a huge hit as well.  We had to go on that more than once also.  We watched a couple parades, some cool 3D shows, saw Aladdin.  It was just so much fun.  The second night we were there Mia fell asleep in my arms as we were waiting in line for our last ride and she did not wake up at all during the ride, on the way home, change of the diaper, etc.  She was worn out!!  The older boys love to take pictures with the characters.  Mia was scared to go close to the characters except for Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse.  She just ran up to Mickey, she loves him!! Crush talked to Luca one time and to Alessandro another.  Alessandro was a little nervous though...he forgot where he was from (utah) hahaha so he just said the united states.  hahaha it was great.  And someone stole her favorite blanket while there!!  It was on the stroller and then it wasn't.  :(  grr. Luckily we had two that were exactly the same, but I am missing having two!!  It's harder to take to wash, I can't just leave one at home and take the other places....I really need to find another blanket like that!!  Why would someone steal a baby blanket!!!  Anyway, here are some pics from the trip.

I like how Mia is scowling at him.  :)

I love Diego's face in this!!

Mia was so scared of him so she wouldn't look.

On Thanksgiving day I made the mistake of reading people's facebook updates about the yummy food they were eating.  I was wishing I had some so Udine suggested I get the Thanksgiving dinner there.  The thought was great, but this dinner was no home cooking!  More like the cafeteria special.  ugh.  I don't know why I thought it would be different.  Oh well...I tried.  :)

I don't know how Alessandro can sleep with Diego!  Look at how we found them in the morning!!!

Yes, I know it's strange to post this, but I have NO artistic abilities so I was proud of myself when I took the class to learn how to draw a Disney character and you can actually tell who it is!!  (If you can't, it's grumpy)  But I needed to record this cause I've never been able to do this before. :)

Before we drove home we went to visit Tia Eva who lives about an hour from Disneyland.  We haven't seen her since I was pregnant with Alessandro, it's been a long time!  She wanted to feed us but we had just barely eaten our breakfast so we told her we weren't hungry.  So she packed food up for us to take home.  She wanted to make sure we were fed.  :)  Always thinking of others!!!

This is after the carousel ride and Mia didn't want to get off.

This is of Luca and Mia dancing around while we waited for a parade to start.

It was such a great trip! Great Family Memories!

Family Pictures 2010

We finally took our family pictures this last month.  We went through Kissed by Designs Photography and just loved them.  They were great with our kids and we are very happy with how the pictures turned out.  My kids are not easy to photograph...but they were able to capture cute pics!  The only down fall is that I scheduled it in November which was Udine's Movember project so we have a nice mustache on him.  hahaha  Here are some of my favorites....
