This week has been a Week of Quotes. It started with the Relief Society Broadcast and has stemmed into my classes, work, and my roommates. Here are some of them that I have gathered this week so far:
"You know you are in love when you can't fall asleep because your reality is finally better that your dreams."
-Dr. Seuss
"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."
-Mother Teresa
"There are two kinds of people in this world. Those you love and those you don't know yet."
-This came from a girl in one of my classes, she heard it from one of her teachers at EFY
"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."
-C.S. Lewis from Mere Christianity
I love collecting quotes because they are just like scriptures. You read them once and they apply at a certain level and then you read them later and there is a whole other application that can be seen in the same exact quote/scripture! I love it!
