Antelope Island

On Memorial Day we decided to take the girls to Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, since none of us had ever been there before. What started out as a quick drive just so we could say we've been there, turned into an all-day event. We let the girls play in the water in White Rock Bay, did a short hike on Buffalo Point, and ate ate the little cafe by the beach. We also saw tons of wildlife (which was the main reason I wanted to go there), including deer, antelope, and lots of bison. It ended up being more fun than I think any of us expected. We will definitely be going back soon.

Abby's Preschool Graduation

Abby graduated from preschool on May 23rd. She had a really fun class and her teachers (Miss Liz and Miss Mindy) were great. They had prepared a short program for the parents and then we all went to a local park for a picnic and boat races. Abby was sad that it had to end, but she's already getting excited for Kindergarten next year.

Bathroom Remodel

Last November we had some plumbing issues that resulted in most of our sewer line having to be replaced. On a brighter note, because of this, we learned that the closet in our hallway had once been a half bathroom and most of the plumbing was still in place. So we decided to restore it to its former glory. After chipping away at it for several months and doing most of the work ourselves, we finally finished it. And after surviving with only one bathroom for our entire marriage, it's amazing how much difference an extra toilet makes.

Utah Gymnastics

The girls love going to the gymnastics meets up at the U. And season tickets are really cheap (especially compared to football tickets). It also doesn't hurt that our team is usually really good.
