Calvin Updates

Here's our cute little guy - still has a toothless grin :)

Calvin has started sitting up! I have to be careful not to leave him unattended, at least not without a pillow behind him.

A quick shot of my happy family before church:

Calvin adores his big sister. He watches her everywhere she goes and smiles at her all day long. Mia loves to help me get Calvin in the mornings and after naps; I think she likes to see his smiles almost as much as I do.

This week I decided to try some rice cereal with Calvin. He was pretty interested....

but, Mia was even more interested!

Toddler going on Teenager

Mom: "Mia, if you don't get your poopy in the potty you can't watch any TV tomorrow."

Mia: Runs to the toilet. With her pants around her ankles, she makes her best crabby face and yells: "If you don't let me watch TV, I'm not going to live here any more!"

Growing Up

I started looking through some old pictures with Mia around the time of her birthday. She loves to see herself "when she was a baby", and so do I. I thought it would be fun to post some old pictures. I didn't put them in order, although the first one is from her first week and the second one is from her blessing day.

I could post pictures all day long :) I love my little girl, and it's really fun to see how much she's grown.

Sweet Mia

Mia turned three back on August 28th, and I've been meaning to put up a post about her birthday (mostly for the grandparents :). So here it is:

We started out the day at 7:30 sharp when Mia popped out of bed and immediately said, "Let's make cupcakes!!!" So, we were making cupcakes at 7:30 in the morning. :) Afterward, we had to get the birthday girl dressed for the day. Her attire of choice EVERY DAY is a dress (because she IS a princess). I used to tell her no, and then I decided that her cute Sunday dresses never get worn out anyway....

The next fun activity for the day was a cupcake party with our friends. We were supposed to enjoy this outside at a park (with little clean up and free entertainment), but it was RAINING! So we moved the party indoors - and the kids did really well. (nothing broken in our smaller apartment with 6 toddlers and 3 babies).

After the cupcakes we played a few simple games that I had come up with (hot potato, London bridge, etc.). The hit of the party was some punching balloons that our friend Janae brought to share:

Mia had a great time playing with her friends and downing cupcakes - well mostly frosting and sprinkles. Later in the day we opened presents from family.

Here she is doing her best "3"

We bought Mia a Cinderella dress as her bigger gift this year - she LOVES to play dress up right now. She also loved all the toys from her Grandparents (THANK YOU!) in fact, she was so excited to play with her toys that it was hard to get her to calm down for bed at the end of the night.

We had a great time celebrating Mia's birthday! She's our favorite little princess!
