Soccer

Daniel started soccer this week. Daniel must have asked me when he was going to play soccer at least 500 times this past week. I even started using it as bribery when I was trying to get him to cooperate. Thursday was the first practice. Most of the time was spent trying to make sure the kids ran in the right direction. Saturday was the first game. Talk about entertainment! Daniel scored 3 goals and each time he would turn and look at me with a gigantic grin on his face and I would give him a thumbs up. He was so proud of himself. Once in a while he would run to the side lines and tell me he was "having a hard time" or that he was "ready for a rest". SO CUTE!

If you look closely in this picture you can see his PINK & BLACK cleats. I am cheap and didn't want to pay $20 for a new pair, so we went to Goodwill. $6 and these were the only pair in his size. I told Johnny I was going to color over the pink with a black marker but Daniel heard me and went crazy. He screamed he "wanted to keep his pink". He carries them around the house and shows all our friends who come over. He shows how he runs with them on and likes to take them on and off. It is so cute how he thrilled with his new soccer shoes.
Jaxon wanted to be on the field so much while the game was going that Johnny ended up holding him while trying to coach the team. Each break Jaxon would try to kick the little ball in the goal. He actually did really well and Johnny is expecting Jaxon to be our little sports pro. I am really looking forward to the rest of this soccer season.
