Bryn's first day of school!
He was so excited and wanted to put on his school uniform first thing. He helped Kevin to make his lunch and got his book bag all ready. We cycled all together Kevin pulling the chariot with both boys inside. Ten minute ride door to door.
Mrs Marshall-Madams his teacher was there to greet him and he changed into his plimsolls (indoor shoes). He was excited to find his name on his peg and put his things away. He found the train set and was happy as a lark when we left. I on the other hand have been tearful for the past few days. Can't believe he is so grown up and going to school! Where did the last 5 years go? Everyone said to treasure those years as they fly past and now they are gone!
We peaked into Ellis' nursery school next door to Bryn,s classroom and he was welcomed warmly although he wasn't ready to come out of my safe arms today. He starts on Wednesday next week (3 hrs a day). We will continue short visits each morning when we drop bryn off to get familiar with things. So much change! Exciting but daunting.
